Yes, and much more. With digital images, practically anything is possible!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Absolutely. I come to every wedding equipped to shoot in any lighting situation.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital all the way baby!
How many photographers do you work with?
2- myself and a 2nd photographer. All 2nd photographers are full-fledged professionals, never apprentices or someone being trained.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Unless I'm on my deathbed, I'll be there!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Not in 1 day. In 1 weekend, yes.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Definitely! Over my 15 years in the business, I have established a fabulous network of photographer friends. We are always there for each other when needed.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
1 rolling camera bag holding: 3 camera bodies, 2 Strobe Flashes and 2 On-Camera Flashes, 5-6 lenses, tripod (don't usually need it), tons of memory cards and batteries...I like to be able to move quickly, so I don't lug around a bunch of stuff.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes! One time, 2 of my cameras malfunctioned during a ceremony, so I had to whip out the 3rd camera. You live, you learn.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Hourly, but exceptions are made depending on my clients' specific needs.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. You can add time in 1/2 hour increments, at the same hourly rate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I usually take a short break at meal time to re-fuel myself. No one likes being photographed while they're stuffing their face with food :)
Do you charge for travel?
Depends on where I'm going, but usually not.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
3-4 weeks after the wedding, you'll receive a all the high resolution, fully edited digital images. The images will also be available online for guests/family to view and order prints, albums, and other nifty products.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
All the high resolution, fully edited digital images are presented to you. You have copyright privileges to make prints when ever & where ever you want.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Ultimately, yes. If I didn't, you could submit my images to contests, get them published in magazines, and not give me photo credit. You can do pretty much anything with the images besides those things listed above, which I doubt you would want to do anyways.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. Any published image would have to be really cool looking, so you would probably be honored to have it shown off :)
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes. See section above: "In what format are the initial proofs offered?"
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, for 90 days, and you may choose to extend it beyond that.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Leather Craftsmen and Finao- all flush mount style. Albums are always an optional add-on to your photography coverage, and you may come back to me to purchase one any time after the wedding. All albums are completely custom designed to reflect your taste, and you are welcome to be involved in the process. I do not use templates like some large photography studios, so your album is truly one of a kind.
When will the client get the final album?
About 3 months. I allow my clients to see the album layout and make as many changes as they want before it's printed. This process varies in length depending on how many changes are requested.
