I cannot score lower or I would. The wedding department is a joke. They do the exact opposite of what they say. They then turn around and talk bad about you. I know this because she accidentally sent it to me instead of the manager I asked to have call me since her planner had messed up our DATE AND LOCATION 3 weeks out STILL. If you go this route, make sure all your decisions are also in email format bc she tried to insist I chose the date and location and I did not. Then her manager tried to argue with and I asked if she had read the email...she had not gotten it. I sent in my list several times and nobody sent it to the planner onboard. She had to inturrupt our $314 couples massage we booked bc of the stress they added, only to have them stop it and not deduct or comp anything. They then gave us a gift card the next day that expired in a day. They would not allow me to credit it to the massage we already got and we had booked and paid for excursions already. I don't grip about gifts except in this case, why give us a gift card on a cruise when you know we are going to book excursions and then it expires the next day? The highlights of our wedding were the photographer who was AMAZING and the island group that organized and conducted our actual wedding. Thank goodness it was outsourced to the locals who were flawless.

PLEASE make sure you have everything in email format and even when they say we will call you in xxx, they won't so be prepared to be reaching back out to them for final decisions. The assigned wedding planner is Jenny and she is awful and never even said sorry for making so many errors and never calling me. My mother attempted to discuss w her and her reply was that she had done this for 10 years and could do it with her eyes closed. Not sorry, I don't know what is going on, yes her email is correct, but excusing herself claiming she knew what she was doing when she was not?...weddings are stressful enough & not perfect but this was BAD.

We were married aboard the Carnival Magic in Port Canaveral on embarkation day (August 20, 2016). There are certainly some inherent restrictions that come along with a cruise wedding, but it was the PERFECT arrangement for us and we couldn't have been happier with our wedding. We chose to have a very small, family only wedding (we ended up with 13 people attending) on embarkation so our guests could get off the ship before we sailed away on our honeymoon alone. Since the wedding package includes pretty much everything, planning was a breeze. I booked the cruise, then called the wedding department to book the package and they sent me an email with all the forms to plan out everything we wanted from the menu to the color of ribbon on my bouquet. Easy peasy. The all-inclusive nature also made it the most economical option for us. Our entire wedding including attire, rings, honeymoon, pictures, and even gifts and more ended up being around $9600. I was pleasantly surprised with our awesome photographer, Daniel, and our phenomenal planner, Meg! I was also really impressed that they were able to accommodate my husband's dairy allergy! My mom is STILL talking about how amazing the dairy-free wedding cake was. I would recommend getting the longer 1.5 hour reception package because we really would have liked more time, but that package was booked before us. It was still a perfect day and we would do it again the same way in a heart beat!

We got married on June 6, 2016. If you are planning on getting married on a Carnival Cruise ship, you have to be very flexible, and patient. Expect to be put on hold for extremely long times (sometimes as long as 45 minutes ONLY to be connected to the wrong department) You will memorize their hold music/spiel. If you plan on surprising your significant other with ANYTHING, don't bother. They will end up telling your husband/wife. Once on board, there will not be a rehearsal dinner, so expect chaos RIGHT before you walk down the aisle. ALSO, when I (the bride) was supposed to walk down the aisle... SURPRISE! They played the wrong song. Then later blamed it on my grandma for walking down the aisle on the wrong cue (As if she had any control over the music) The reception will be EXTREMELY short (Even if you get the BIGGEST package they have, it's still only an hour and a half reception. Not enough time to thank guests, eat, drink, and dance... let alone have guest book, garter / bouquet toss, speeches, etc... My husband hurt his foot THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING. We went to the medical clinic, and it was closed at 9pm. His foot looked like a balloon. Nobody offered assistance. On the way to our room, our housekeeper saw us and even panicked for us. He said we should call '911' immediately. We did, and they said "Sorry, the medical center is closed, but we can send a nurse up to your room... for $350 charge... and if he needs pain medicine, our souvenir shop is also closed, but we can reopen it for another $50 fee, on top of the medicine or whatever else you need". Nobody cares about your happiness and well being. Carnival will have their hands in your pocket the entire time. Also, the photos that their photographers take are beautiful. They'll send you info regarding their prices and list them ranging from $899-$2999... However, when we got there, and stated that ALL we wanted was the dvd and the USB, she said we need to pay for the rights as well, which costs... $11,000.

I planned my wedding over a year before we sailed. We originally planned our cruise for May1st to sail out of Miami. However, the ships changed and the Breeze started sailing out of TX, so we were very upset about that change because I already sent my invites out and I did not want to cruise on the Splendor. Luckily we got the Conquest sailing out of Ft Lauderdale on May8th which was a pretty good size ship and had a wonderful Lido deck. We had 12 non sailing guests and about 10 sailing guests. It was absolutely perfect. My ceremony was in the Gallery and the reception was in Alfreds lounge, the only thing is there was a big fat pole in the middle of the dance floor, but we worked with it. I brought my own CD and there was a DJ to play and allow us to use mic as much as we wanted. I performed a song for my guests and we had some speeches. Make sure you do "Time to Celebebrate BIG" if you do the wedding package inside because an extra 30minutes of dancing is Well worth it for another $100 or so. I highly reccommend Carnival for wedding, wayyyy cheaper than planning your own wedding and renting a hall & it was amazing to have your honeymoon immediately, no flights or traveling - that was the best part. My guests loved every second of it. open bar, good food, delicious cake, we had them put it in fridge and serve it to us and our guests at dinner. I did not use Carnival's photographer because my best friend did our photos which was a great decision in my opinion. Carnival charges a lot, and i am super picky about photos. I paid about 375 for flowers, 2 big bouquets, bridal bouquet was blue orchids with white roses, gorrrrgesous, you can not bring your own fresh flowers on the ship so you need to go through them, which is easy because they set it up for you and everything. Wedding planner was super helpful, answered all my questions I called her many times. We added a guest 1 week before the wedding and she let us add her because she was sailing. It was the best

I got married on the Carnival Conquest on April 16, 2016, on embarkation day in Fort Lauderdale. We booked the wedding in July 2015 and had absolutely no problems getting the ship or date that we wanted. The day of the wedding, we had a couple of issues with certain guests not being on the guest sheets at Port Everglades even though we had proof of submitting their info - but it was sorted out.

Overall, the ceremony and reception were amazing. Our ceremony took place in The Gallery and our reception was in Alfred’s Bar - both on Deck 4. The wedding coordinators passed out maps to all of our guests and told them exactly where they needed to be. Although the two hours went by incredibly fast, everything was perfect. Our guests were raving about the food, cake and open bar. And I know that everyone (including us) has a great time!

The photography is a bit pricey, but my advice is this: don’t buy your pictures the first time you meet with your photographer. After looking through the pics and seeing the prices, we told him we needed to think about it a bit. When we went back, we sorted our pictures into 3 piles: yes, maybe and no. Once he realized we were only going to take 60 of the 200+ pics he took, he put together different packages at much lower prices. We ended up with $3,000 worth of pictures for $1,500.

Carnival did a great job making our big day so special, and I would highly recommend them.

We were recently married aboard Carnival Glory. If you choose to do this, I would like to offer a few suggestions. First, read your contract carefully. The ceremony, the food, the flowers were all as explained. The wedding planner was late to meet us and we were almost all checked in when she arrived. She was very pleasant and helpful. There were a total of 19 of us and we were all sailing except for one guest. I had ample time to get ready and they had two cabins ready for us. We used our own officiant for the ceremony. We made a CD for our music for the reception. The DJ could not play it, so two of our guests went back to our room to get a back up CD which worked fine. We later tried that CD and it worked as well so this caused two of our guests to miss some of the reception. Six songs were played from our CD along with three songs the DJ played while waiting. That was it. There was no way the reception lasted an hour as expected since the length of songs did not come near to 60 minutes. But, an hour certainly is not long enough, so I would go with the longer celebration option. The food and cake was amazing. Everything was decorated beautifully. Overall, we were pleased with Carnival's planning. The wedding coordinator graciously tried to make plates of food for me. Now, the bad news. The photographer came to my room and stayed after my guests left. The wedding coordinator was knocking on the door to get me and he insisted on taking additional [photos and videos. He was VERY intrusive, yet I blame myself for not telling him to just get out. I was late to my own wedding because of him. During the ceremony a bright light bar was placed between us which made it impossible for our guests to get pictures of the ceremony. He apparently was making a video with this. After the reception the photographer grabbed us for again more photos. When we were getting tired of it he would just want to do a few more. We chose the Carnival ship, Fantasy for our wedding & reception. We got married while it was in port at Charleston, SC. Everyone I dealt with from Carnival was very professional & wanted to make my wedding date perfect. Everyone that attended was so glad they did & the ones that chose not to sail with us, wished they had! I would recommend a Carnival wedding to any bride! Otillia was great & went out of her way to help me from the planning process until my day!

My husband and I took a 4 day cruise from Miami to Key West, then from Key West to Cozumel, Mexico for our Honeymoon. It was AMAZING! The cruise was inexpensive for the amount of what was included (stay room, entertainment, food).
It was a very great experience, our stateroom was always clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and I will definitely be taking another Carnival Cruise in the future!

My fiance and I are having our reception on Carnival after our Bahamas wedding-- Jessica has been very helpful in planning the reception! She has been excellent at communicating our menu options, entertainment, and alcohol budget for the reception party. There are some things that will be beyond me and my fiance's control, such as the location of our reception and what time it will be, but I understand there are going to be limitations when using their cruise line.
