My husband and I chose to get married on the Carnival Dream while it was docked in Port Canaveral before we departed on our honeymoon cruise. The Wedding Experience is the company that handles all the ceremony and reception details. We were both very pleased with the job they did. In-port weddings must follow a tight schedule and both Carnival and the Wedding Experience did a great job pulling and keeping everything together. We opted for a luncheon for the reception and everyone raved about the food. Our wedding day coordinator, Priscilla, did an outstanding job and was extremely attentive to my and the groom's needs, while not being overbearing or intrusive. There was only one minor glitch the day of the ceremony and it was easily resolved well before the planned events. The price was really reasonable too, and we chose the most expensive package (ceremony with luncheon). If you do the wedding from your home port, you can invite guests who don't want to sail too. We had a total of 47 guests with 8 sailing with us. If you plan on taking a cruise for your honeymoon, I strongly recommend looking into Carnival. They have several packages available, both home port based and destination, that will accommodate different size guest lists and budgets.

I got married aboard the Carnival Freedom Cruise Ship on October 13th, 2013. We got married in port in Fort Lauderdale, prior to the ship sailing. You have the choice of getting married on board the ship or at one of the ports during the cruise. You cannot get married on board while out on open water due to legality, or something.

Anyway, before the wedding I was issued a wedding planner through carnival. I have to say she was completely wonderful. I would list her name, but I actually dealt with a different person every time I contacted them, or they contacted me. But, with that said, they were all equally wonderful and very on top of everything. Each time I dealt with the wedding department specifically, it was quick and easy and I did not feel like I was left in the dark about anything. There are a few choices you have to make, but they do all of the work for you. I am a little bit of a control freak, so this made me a little anxious, not knowing every little detail would be great. However, it was, and I could not have asked for a better, or more beautiful wedding. Every large and small detail was completely perfect.

We had to arrive at the port by 10:00 or 10:30 in the morning. Every guest except the bride and groom had to arrive dressed for the wedding. My hair and makeup had to be done prior to arrival as well.

The wedding was completely amazing and beautiful. The food was, to die for, delicious. The cake was beautiful and we were given the cake topper (two silver hearts) and complimentary Carnival Wedding flutes at the end. The reception was open bar and all of the drinks, including champagne, were amazingly delicious. The photo's were beautiful.

I would definitely recommend a Carnival Cruise Wedding to everyone wanting a very low stress wedding, on a smaller budget, wanting a completely fabulous wedding and reception, and of course honeymoon. We all had a blast!!!! My guests couldn't have been more pleased with every detail.

The Hyatt Key West was a beautiful venue. Carnival does well to work with them. However, Carnival was not overly flexible with our requests. We paid over $2000 to Carnival for basically a photographer we didn't want and the officiant. I had sent them a script to include my son in the sand ceremony and the officiant didn't get the script so my son was not included. Service on the boat was not great-tips are automatically added on (although you can wait in line at Guest Services to adjust them), and I think that is why.

I was married on the Carnival Pride in the Port of Baltimore. The boarding process was a little nerve racking and we were set back a little over an hour since the ship came into port late, but the rest of the day was great. There was always someone there directing us and informing us on what to do and where to go. It was a short ceremony and reception, but that is what I expected and agreed to. I loved that I did not have to worry about booking the church, venue, catering, photographer, music, etc. since all of these and more were included in the package. This took a lot of the stress away for me. I enjoyed my day, and was happy having a smaller more intimate ceremony.

Terrible!!!!!!! All my wedding pictures were ruined!!! The photographer was terrible and then he wanted to charge me $3K for the ruined pictures. Management had poor customer service and didn't care. Not even acknowledging how much money I spent to get married. The DJ was Horrific!! Didn't play any of the music I wanted and didn't even have any of it. He rushed everything just so he can go eat MY food!!! Never said a word on the mic. Everything was very rushed and so short. the whole wedding and ceremony was about 2 hours. Everyone just ate and left. The only good thing was the food except for the sushi. It was very fishy. I do not recommend Carnival Wedding. They don't care!!!

I got married onboard the Carnival Valor this past May. Always Honeymoon Travel set up the wedding through Carnival Weddings. I was impressed with everything that was included with the cost of the ceremony/reception. We paid just over $3000 for a private ceremony, a 1.5 hr private reception, catered food, open bar, wedding cake, champagne, coffee service, an ice sculpture, a DJ, and a officiant. The moment I stepped into the port a wedding planner and the officiant met with my husband and me, explained the whole procedure and gave us time to ask questions. Our suite was ready when we boarded the ship. The ceremony was nice except my husband and I wrote our own vows and also wanted to recite traditional ones to each other. The ceremony started a little late, so the officiant cut out the traditional vows and only let us say our own to each other. It was a very short section and would have meant a lot to us. I didn't even really think about it until the ceremony was over. The reception was great, but it should have been longer. It was only 1.5 hrs, and it seemed like as soon as we cut the cake and did the bouquet toss and first dance that everyone had to leave. They should start everything else earlier to allow for a real celebration. I would have gladly paid more money for a longer reception with my family. I was not impressed with the photos. They were great pictures, but it was a little expensive for the amount that I received. We also had a videographer. At the beginning of the video, which I did not realize until I was showing it to someone else back home, they spelled the word "onboard" wrong!! We didn't receive our video until the very last night of the cruise, around midnight. The video store was closing shop as they handed it to us. The overall quality of the video was great, however, and they added a nice personal touch to it. All in all, I'm glad we chose Carnival for our destination wedding. Everyone we tell about it says they'd never heard of something like that. It was a great option for us, since we didn't have a lot of money and we paid for it ourselves. I would not recommend it to someone who wants a big wedding, since you are only allowed 50 non-sailing guests.
