NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY!! This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any business. Brian Wacchorst was my contact there and is one of the most unprofessional and sketchy people I have had the displeasure of meeting.

My husband and I met with Brian over a year before our wedding and heard a variety of demo CDs. There was one band in particular that Brian recommended but I told him that I was a little uneasy about the vocals. After much assurance that they were fantastic live and that we would love them if we saw them perform, we decided to sign a contract with the caveat that if we didn't like them live, we could switch groups.

This is when the nightmare began. For 8 months, Brian evaded the phone calls and e-mails I sent to try and set up a time to see the band perform. He kept saying that we had just missed them or that they weren't performing for awhile. Only when I wrote an e-mail threatening his integrity did he suddenly find a time for us to see the band. When we finally heard the band, they were fantastic! So we felt a little better.

But then came the hassle of trying to communicate with the bandleader (Brian said all further contact should be through them). Again, very few responses and they kept saying that we'd figure out the details later. Well, with 3 days until my wedding and having not heard one peep from Brian, I decided to give him a call.

BRIDES, BEWARE! When I finally got ahold of Brian, he started telling me that sound was not included with the ceremony's music. Even though he assured us in that first meeting that microphones, a guitarist, etc. were all included, now he was telling me that there must have been a misunderstanding because sound was only included if we hired a sound technician. WTF? Who would know that sound isn't included with music?

It gets even worse. Even after I agreed to pay extra money for a sound guy (who just happened to be Brian b/c according to him, "he wanted it done right" and so wasn't going to be at another gig just so he could come to our wedding...really?), Brian calls again the next day and tells me that there was a miscommunication with the band leader. According to Brian, since there were several miscommunications involved, and I was the "common denominator", it must have been my fault.

Brian accused me of being a naive manipulator who was "just upset because I wasn't getting a brand new car." He claimed that he never said any of the things I said he did and that the misunderstandings were all my fault. Apparently, I was trying to jip him out of money.

Now, for any of you who have planned a wedding, you know how stressful it is. Not to mention 2 days before your wedding having some jerk yelling at you on the phone and making you cry. After my husband called back to talk to him, Brian apologized. Extremely little and much too late.

The band (Carte Blanche) was great and all our guests had a fantastic time dancing but it would be better to hire them through someone else or go directly to their website.

We were able to book the All Star Jukebox band days before our wedding. They're an 8 piece band with both male and female vocalists. The booking agent was easy to work with and responsive with emails and even learned to play our first dance song. They sounded great. The band played everything including jazz, country, and pop. I don't have any complaints with the quality of the music.

My only hangup is that the booking agent requested mp3 songs on an ipod which the band didn't even know how to use. They didn't play any of our playlists when they took their breaks, but at least they played their own CD with jazz music. They also started off with the wrong song for the garter toss. Eventually they played the right song, but it was awkward while everyone waited for the right song. In the end, it was still alot of fun.

Again, the band itself was great, but someone should show them how to use an ipod or mp3 player beforehand. The transitions would have been alot smoother.
