Rebecca Budde of Cherish Events and Design, LLC was the absolute worst decision I made during my wedding planning. I liked her at first but that feeling quickly changed. She’s one of the most unprofessional people I've ever encountered. (i.e.: She mentioned my financial situation numerous times in front of vendors, as if I couldn't be trusted to pay them for their services.) I felt like she didn't listen to me on so many details. I was constantly repeating myself and reiterating things. She focused on minute details instead of important ones. (i.e.: She forgot to remind me the remaining balance on our cake and DJ were due, because she was too busy worrying about me scheduling my final dress fitting at a time she could attend to see me in my dress. Who needs cake and entertainment as long as she gets to see my dress first right?) It was like she didn’t hear what I was saying unless I gave her attitude. (Which always backfired because I’d have to spend numerous phone calls, emails and text messages trying to console HER afterwards.) During the décor process she incessantly requested that I allow her to “take over and make it fabulous”. My wedding and ceremony were held at the Evansville Country Club, she wore oversized ratty old jeans and a hoodie to the rehearsal. (Yet wondered why she wasn’t in charge of the style and décor?) I ended up apologizing profusely to my vendors for them having to deal with her. The question that everyone (vendors and wedding party) asked was whether or not Rebecca was a friend of mine. People honestly thought that I was just getting help from a friend that had been to a few weddings before and wanted to help out, instead of actually receiving assistance from a professional. No one could believe that I was actually stupid enough to pay her. Please keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Planners are supposed to keep stress away from you, she was only capable of creating stress.
