We are using Classic Event Concierge for our wedding on June 6, 2015. Although it hasn't happened yet, I want to let other prospective brides (especially people who aren't using a traditional hall) that they offer great services AND can provide insurance/liquor licenses for their bartenders.

Our reception venue (the Mid Hudson Children's Museum Pavilion - not listed on Wedding Wire, but check it out - it's a great space!) requires liability insurance and liquor serving license for event staff, which is something most companies I looked into couldn't provide. They are also going to pick up our food from a local restaurant and do cleanup/breakdown. Halelujah! I was so worried, but feel much more at ease after signing with Tim and CEC.

Tim is very professional and gets back to you quickly (many people/companies ignored my request completely!). He is also patient - I had 1001 questions. I'm very much looking forward to having them as our wait staff.

When my bartender cancelled two weeks before my wedding, I contacted Classic Event Concierge and they came through amazingly! At the last minute, they were happy to provide two bartenders for our full bar, bringing all the mixers and garnishes we could need. Even though it poured during our reception and Tim got soaked moving the bar around, he was extremely nice and hard working throughout the entire event. Classic Event Concierge was a pleasure to work with and extremely affordable considering how much stress they relieved me of. I highly recommend them!

When my bartender cancelled two weeks before my wedding, I contacted Classic Event Concierge and they came through amazingly! At the last minute, they were happy to provide two bartenders for our full bar, bringing all the mixers and garnishes we could need. Tim and his staff are the very best! Top shelf! They really made the guest of my wedding of nearly 200 guest feel like they were at home. No one wanted for anything because Tim and his staff were always there to tend to their needs. I have received so many compliments from my friends and family on my choice of servers and I feel like its unfair to take the compliments because it really belongs to Classic Event Concierge!

Tim and his staff were extremely nice and professional during our wedding on 9/28/13. It was a huge weight off our shoulders to know that our 230 guests were taken care of. They worked great with the two chefs in delivering the food promptly and the bartenders even helped with coffee and espresso besides their alcohol duties! We hired CEC to staff our wedding held in August 2014. While most of their staff performed fine, some of their employees were incompetent in a way that cost us additional money and which lessened the enjoyment of our guests. CEC owner Tim refused to stand by their work. Because of this issue and their response to it, we cannot recommend CEC.

CEC’s bartender and Tim couldn’t work the tap system, despite assurance beforehand they did know how to use it. Midway though the reception Tim told us we ran out of beer, necessitating one of the groomsmen and the godfather of the bridge having to run out mid-reception and spend over $100 on extra beer. The next morning we found that one of the kegs was 3/4 full. Simply lifting the keg would have demonstrated that it was not close to empty.

The bartender and Tim were also disorganized. We had two beers on tap and the bartender kept confusing them, resulting in people getting the wrong beer all night long. Tim also told us midway through the reception that we ran out of tequila. The next morning we found an entire case of tequila, unopened.

We addressed these issues with Tim a few days later. He initially laughed when told about the unused beer and said that he hoped that we were able to still use. We then asked him to cover the $100 cost of the extra beer we had to purchase mid-ceremony, since it was necessitated by him and his employee’s mistake. He refused and then chastised us for not paying him in full the night of the wedding. When pressed as to why he didn’t process the payment that night as was agreed upon, he admitted that he was could not because he mistakenly threw out our credit card information. Tim does not stand by the work of his bartender and blames other people for his mistakes.

Dear Tom,

It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your experience with us. We aim at the highest standards possible and are truly saddened to hear that they were not met for you. I am also saddened, to see how offensive your review is calling our staff incompetent. I personally worked the event and you showed no dissatisfaction up until we refused the request for a $100 refund. In fact you thanked us profusely for continuing the work your caterer left when they left the event half an hour prior to service. Not to mention the work we put into the event and the fact that we were understanding that payment of the balance was not ready at the end of the event.

Once again our sincerest apologies, best of luck on your marriage you do make a lovely couple.
