My husband and I had our wedding at the Meridian Club in Fullerton. The staff at the Meridian are amazing and helped our wedding go smoothly. They were willing to do anything to make us happy and went above and beyond what we had expected. All of our guests LOVED the food. I still hear about the food from our wedding and how amazing it all was. I would definietly recommend the Meridian to an couple looking for an affordable and amazing venue.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Meridian Club in Fullerton. The staff at the Meridian are amazing and helped our wedding go smoothly. They were willing to do anything to make us happy and went above and beyond what we had expected. All of our guests LOVED the food. April was great in assisting us with our wedding.
She was very responsive and tried to work around ways for us so that we can meet our budget.
It was a bit hot which was the only thing that I had a issue with the venue.

This place looks nice but for the price, I'd rather go big by spending a little bit more to have my ceremony on the beach in Pismo. The staff are friendly and quite professional, we did taste the food ans it was just blah.

April and Edgar were great to work with. April was very flexible and accommodating to my busy schedule, which is very much appreciated.
Food were great. Staff were helpful during event.
Guests raved about the food.
Only issue was cake could have been served better (i.e. portion given to guest based on available cake....there were 2 tiers left at the end of the night, and guests complained they did not get enough cake).

Pros: One location for ceremony and reception was great for a winter wedding and out of town guests. Food was excellent, decorations looked great. The managers were very helpful and always available to answer questions.

Cons: Bridal room is small and has no bathroom. This room also has a back door that workers have access to, during the wedding someone took money from my wallet and either took a picture of my credit cards or wrote down their numbers and were using them while I was away on my honeymoon. Do not leave anything of value in the bridal room. Also, a friend reportedly got us a gift card, however when opening our gifts it was no where to be found. It could have been anyone, but having two doors to the bridal suit that all the workers are aware of and have access to is a negative.

On the day of my wedding there were no other events scheduled, had there been we would have only had 2 hours to get ready and set things up. In my opinion this wouldn't have been enough time, if you are getting married in busier months you may want to ask about this.

Hi Rachel, We are very sorry to hear about this unfortunate event. Yes, we do have 2 doors to the bridal suite and they do remained locked and closed at all times. However, bridal party members tend to leave the door propped open for easier access. We suggest to each client to speak first hand with the director and banquet manager for direct access to the room when needed. The director and banquet manager are the only ones with the main key access; no staff member has a key. On the other hand, we are very accommodating with the setup times and Colette's at the Meridian Club does allow earlier setup times for your special day.

Me and my Husband went with Colette’s Events because the venue was nice and so was the price. We spend around $50 per person for a five hour event. We selected the Freesia package. We had 150 people I’ve left as detailed a review as I can so other brides would get a good idea. I liked working with Colette’s and I only have a few minor and one major complaint. They ran out of my main course which was the chicken.( and trust me that was no little issue) Being a bride that was the last thing I wanted to deal with. It was very embarrassing when people came to me and told me they didn’t get any chicken because Colette’s ran out. I was furious went I found out. To pay so much money and not get what you paid for especially when it’s a day like your wedding. I was very disappointed. At first Natalie whom is the Director apologized for running out of food and said she thought it was due to the fact that we were over our limit of 150 and they were taking a count. And I knew in fact we were under our limit at about 140 because some people who did RSVP didn’t come. When Colette’s realized it was their error they apologized and eventually brought out more chicken a little over a hour later. The problem with that is most of the people who didn’t get chicken originally substituted it with extra veggies or potatoes. I understand mistakes can happen and I still don’t know as to why specifically they were short. I didn’t want to cause a lot of back and forth complaining to Colette’s because of this. So I simply wrote a email to Natalie explaining the problems and that even thought they apologized and brought out more chicken way to late it didn’t matter the damage had already been done and I really believe that mistakes like that should not be made especially when your paying so much for the food and your pay it up front. It means someone somewhere didn’t check their numbers. The response from Natalie was her apologizing and explaining she was embarrassed, but it still doesn’t mend the damage. As happy as I am with my wedding day I personally would not through another event there or recommend it because even though it was one thing. It was one of the major things that was their responsibility and they didn’t deliver.So I’ve listed details good and bad here. I’m sure and hope my wedding day mishap might be something that rarely happens at Colette’s Events, but I still feel you should have my full review. If the Chicken had not have run out things would have been better but its too big of a problem to say that everything went completely great.Set up: • Tables, DJ booth, buffet and dinnerware was all set out nicely. Décor: • Décor was set up by a wedding planner that is just starting out so she didn’t charge me and she did a great job.• If Colette’s set it up I was told by Jennifer it would be $175 and later told by Natalie the cost would be $150 if I had them do the set up. So I decided it would be best to just have someone set up my décor. • The one thing I didn’t like is Colette’s didn’t allow my person to come in and set up décor until two hours before the event. Which I didn’t think was a lot of time and felt like they did that because I didn’t want them to set up.• They do offer white, ivory or black tablecloth with the package I had• They offer house centerpieces which are a hurricane vase, mirror and three votives around it which I thought was a great thing and we saved a ton on décor.Cake:• It was pry the best part about using Colette’s Events. We had red velvet with ganache and cream cheese butter cream, chocolate cake with mocha filling and chocolate cake with chocolate truffle cream. It was four tiers with chocolate ganache icing( ganache icing is an upgrade depending on the package you get with them. I defiantly recommend their cakes.Food: • The package did include a hour of hosted bar when the appetizers where being passed out was a nice thing since we didn’t want to do a full all night cash bar.• We had three tray pass appetizers they were mini hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry ( They were Yummy!) Mini Beef Empanadas( So so so yummy!) and coconut macadamia Chicken ( They were Yummy but the other two where the best) They only appetizer we actually got to taste at our actual tasting where the mini hot dogs so we kind of blindly went of Colette’s recommend and they turned out good.• We had a regular house salad with ranch.( It was good)• Homemade garlic bread ( Need to have more flavor)• Main course was Chicken Saltimbocca – which was chicken breast stuffed with provolone and prosciutto with a lemon beurre Blanc sauce (It was good)
