Quality of Service
I definitely wanted to carry a bouquet, and wanted boutonnieres for all our attendants, but we didn't have room in the reception venue for tabletop flowers. Despite this small quantity of flowers, hiring a florist for custom made items would have cost hundreds of dollars, and all the flowers would be dead the next day. So I went to the corner deli and bought fresh flowers, and made all the boutonnieres and the bouquet myself, after looking at on-line tutorial videos. It's really not that hard, and it felt good to decorate our wedding party with things I had made myself. So much more satisfying than paying so much more money for a stranger's handiwork -- and I did the flowers the night before, put them in the fridge in tupperware, on a wet paper towel, and they looked great at the ceremony!
