I couldn't be happier with my experience. Beautiful dresses at great prices, and they were always willing to let me exchange when I changed (or my bridesmaids changed) my mind. I found everything I needed - a gorgeous dress, a great veil and headpiece, a well-fitting bra, and comfortable beautiful shoes.

I enjoyed every moment during my dress shopping. The first day I went, Vart helps me try on 5+ dresses. I wasn't IN LOVE with any of them so I set up another appt for the next week. When I came back, Vart totally remembered who I was--she knew the styles I tried on, everything. Customer service was amazing. Kat, the manager, also remembered me. Wonderful customer service! Elena in alterations was also amazing and very helpful. I was very happy with my experience at David's Bridal in Brea.

Fell in love with my dress just like they say you do. I just knew. The staff at the Brea David's bridal were helpful and caring. The sales girl even teared up a little bit with me when I made my decision! Considering the size of the company I think they do a great job making each bride feel special. Not a big fan of the alteration process but maybe I shouldn't have lost that much weight before the wedding!!

I felt like when I first walked in and started trying on dresses I was buying a car not a dress. The experience seemed a little pushy, I didn't buy my dress that day I came back after doing some research on what I wanted and bought it then when I knew what I wanted not what I was told I wanted. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I absolutely adore my dress

The David's Bridal (DB) in Brea, CA, has by far the better selection. I purchased a dress by Oleg Cassini that is absolutely amazing. The price was about $1,200 but then I had to get it tailored $290, the slip $39, bustier $79, Vera Wang veil $149, Vera Wang belt $69, Vera Wang bow to pin on belt, shoes $88, pearl and rhinestone shoe clips $6 each, and tiara $112. However, this was still less than what I would have had to pay at a wedding boutique. One boutique was selling the garter for $46...is that crazy! DB sold a very nice one for $24 but I purchased mine at Fredrick's of Hollywood for $9. I went to many bridal boutiques and DB had affordable prices for beautiful gowns.

I went into David's Bridal with a list of favorite styles from their site in hand. I had called and set up an appointment, received an email stating the appointment time and date was set but when we arrived I was nowhere on their list of brides there for a fitting. They found an associate with only one other bride that was available to take on my appointment too. We met Maggie, a wonderful person, not pushy or rude. I handed her my list, she gave us a quick tour, then she went off to collect my dresses along with the help of my bridal party picking out a few others.
I tried on about six dresses and decided I found my dress. Maggie only brought out a veil that coordinated and didn't push anything else. I can't express how much I appreciated that from her. I was weary of being forced to consider more than I wanted to but in the end she was kind, professional and very personable. I bought my veil and dress and found my dress to be on sale. Bonus!
My dress was ordered in and the time given it arrived without a hitch. When I went in to pick it up, I was given some information from the front attendant about bridesmaids dresses, enough to make me reconsider shopping with them. She told me with wide dramatic eyes that I was already behind in picking them out because they can take 8-12 weeks to arrive if special ordered! Wow! That seemed WAY too long so we went elsewhere. After that, I went home to try on my dress and found a hole in the seam! Luckily it was in an easily fixable area but I was disappointed that it came to me already broken and in need of repair and was told by alterations they would not fix it without a cost. My alterations were done there and though they weren't bad I felt they did the bare minimum and I questioned whether they steamed it at all. They didn't fix the hole in the seam but I pointed it out and the seamstress fixed it while I changed at no extra cost, thank goodness. Overall, it was a 'meh' experience.

My overall experience with Davids Bridal was a good one. For the money, they have excellent options. The sales associate who helped me (Michelle) was amazing. I tried on 6 dresses and found "the one." I ordered it in October 2008 for my September 2009 wedding. They estimated it would arrive at the beginning of January and it arrived a month early, however it had a red stain on the back. We had to order a replacement which came in February. So I was very glad to have ordered it early from the start. The only real negative part of the experience was with alterations. I felt like once I bought the dress, the service level went down. Also, the alterations cost half as much as the dress, so keep that in mind. They wanted me to pick it up 3 days before the wedding but I insisted it be sooner, and I'm glad I did because the fit was wrong and they had to do it over again. All my bridesmaids got their dresses there as well, and one of them did not fit the same as the sample. Overall, I do recommend them for those with a tight budget. Because I bought my dress there, the bridesmaids, mother of bride and grandma of the bride all got $20 off their dresses, we all got 15% off shoes and the groomsmen got $30 off their tux rentals at Mens Warehouse.

I went to David's Bridal two times before I found my dress. The first time wasn't as exciting but the second time around was fun and exciting. Asia is very helpful, but I think Vicki (the manager) made it fun and exciting. Vicki was able to look at my body type and to help me find a dress that complimented me well, and she gave me feedbacks that were genuine. The staff were all very enthused when I decided on the dress. I am excited to get my dress. The price was good for the dress, although I thought the accessories were pricey. We'll see if there is anything else to say when I do get my dress. Also, they give you a book of savings for everyone else in your wedding party, which is nice. My bridesmaids also got their dresses there. We got lucky because the plum color I wanted was going to be discontinued shortly. The dresses complimented my wedding dress well. The color was the exact color I wanted so I was excited. Also, my bridesmaids liked the dress style, so they were happy. The dresses were on sale, so we couldn't apply the coupon that offered $20 off a bridesmaid dress. I was also happy that they were able to do an exchange for me. I initially purchased a tiara that was too expensive, but purchased it impulsively. After deciding I couldn't afford the tiara, I called DB and asked what I could they. They offered that I can do an exchange, which worked out because my mother-in-law needed a dress. I appreciated that they were accomodating. I am getting my dress altered at this store because of my positive experiences, despite other locations being closer. During the alteration fitting, the lady - Maria (?) was doing a sales pitch with me, which was a bit annoying. However, I was firm enough to only sign and agree with what I wanted. The alteration was more costly than I expected, but I don't regret it. I also got their preservation kit. Although I don't plan to keep my dress, I thought the cleaning, and box that comes with it would help keep the dress in good shape so I can sell it. I figured the cleaning cost would be equally priced at a dry cleaners. UPDATE: I was very unhappy with the alteration done by Maria Elena (alteration manager). She is very pushy and insisted that I had to move my back panel to make it bigger so my skin is not bunched up. However, I told her I planned on losing weight and toning up. She said that I needed to do it. One week before the wedding, I tried on my dress and was very concerned when my dress did not fit me and was going to fall off my body (its a strapless dress). My bridesmaid began telling me that I needed butt padding, and that I had one week to gain some weight to fit into the dress. It was very disappointing that its her job to know what's right, and she gave me the wrong recommendation. It was one week before the wedding, and I had no time to find someone to alter it for me again, so my only choice was to gain weight, and to tighten up the corset backing.

I am not a fan of the sales staff at this store. I had to go back and forth with many of them in the few times I had to visit the store. Fortunately, we did not have any problems with the dresses themselves. The store did give us a very small percentage off of our dresses but it was too little too late.

There was a defect in the lace on the front of the dress. The alterations lady said it could easily be fixed. When I came back, it looked just the same. The other alterations ladies said it couldn't be fixed and another dress had to be ordered. Now hoping it will be here in time!

I have to start off by saying, I only went to one store, Davids Bridal in Brea and that was it. I also bought my wedding dress on my first appointment. I pre-planned to only shop at Davids Bridal for the main reason that for the price range I would like to spend, they have the biggest selection and I saw no reason to try on dresses I couldn't afford. I mean personally I think it's insane to spend over $1000 on a dress you wear for one day.

That being said, I had a good and bad experience with David's Bridal. When I first walked in for my appointment I immediately got irritated because the person helping me was new and inexperienced. I gave her my printout of dress choices I would like to try on from favorites to not so favorites (like 24 dresses) and she proceeds to tell me they don't have most of those in the store for me to try on. Are you kidding me? So we started to look around the racks because what else are we supposed to do, and at least this inexperienced little girl was smart enough to ask for help from her more experienced colleague. They were able to find me at least 5 or 6 of my top choices to try on, and we also added to this by pulling some ourselves. There were still other dresses I wish I could have tried on but I tried not to make it a big deal. Quite frankly, if you offer it in a size you should have a sample available to try on.

In the end I found a perfect dress...I just knew when I put it on that it looked and fit perfect on me. As for the alterations department, their service was fabulous. Always helpful, quick, ready to try something to help, offering suggestions. Only complaint I have with alterations would be the price is a bit high, and the days/hours you can come in for alterations and pickup are a pain especially when you work and don't live nearby.
