This was my 1st bridal store I walked into since becoming a bride-to-be and I was very disappointed. I had been to a Bridal Expo 3 weeks before and had my eye on 1 particular dress, so I booked an appointment.

The day of, I was accompanied by 2 of my bridesmaids and my MOH. We were running 15 minutes late, so I called to let them know, no biggie. When I get there, they seemed a bit behind and we had to wait, still not a big deal.

Finally, I was appointed a young, inexperienced sales associate and here is where my negative experience kicked in. Immediately, she asked me what dresses I wanted to try on. I told her about the 1 dress I had my eye on, which they had on display. Then she said I should pick a few more. She gave me no visuals and expected me to just know the dress by number. Eventually, when I asked, she brought out a catalogue. Unfortunately, every dress I liked they didn't have in stock. Not once did the associate recommend a dress for me or just bring any dresses to me to try on. After 30 minutes of this, "we don't have it," I asked if she could just bring me the 1 dress I came here to try on.

She took my measurements, but they were never inputted into their system. A step I had to repeat at every David's Bridal I went to after this. She even took my shoe size, but the shoes she brought out to me never made there way over to me. Twice she said she would bring them to me, but she got distracted by another customer. I only was able to view the shoe box from a distance. My friends actually did all the work: they brought me random dresses to try on and they helped me in and out of each dress. Being a first timer I wasn't aware that the associate should have been the one helping me with all of this. I had one simple question about champagne and white that was never answered by her.

At the end, my associate was no where to be found. Another associate came over. She was nice and answered my 1 question. She saved my horrible experience.

My sales person Keshawna was very very nice and helped me find the dress I'd been dreaming of! I'm not very girly and trying on dresses didnt seem like fun to me at all. After the first couple dresses my inner girl came out and i ended up finding the best dress for me. Keshawna was awesome she listened to my descriptions of my tastes and found things that i never would have thought to try on. great customer service!!

I have to say that I had two very distinct experiences from the David's Bridal in Burbank.

When I came here to find my wedding dress my experience was phenomenal!!! Unfortunately I don't remember the name of my consultant but she was great! I had made an appointment but it being the weekend it was still very busy. I brought my mom and best friend to help me decide. The consultant was receptive and listened to my likes and concerns regarding the look of the dress on my body. She did a great job at balancing my needs and my mother's constant suggestions for other style my mom wanted WITHOUT being rude about it. She was not at all pushy about making a purchase. I had previously checked out two other bridal placed but i found my dress her!! I was super ecstatic and loved that my consultant made me feel extra special by ringing a bell and when i said "yes to my dress!!" Sounds cheesy but i loved it.

Because I had had such a great experience with the purchase of my wedding dress, i brought by four bridesmaids here when searching for their dress. Unfortunately this experience could not be more different. I cant remember the consultants name but she was very very very pushy from the start. She even asked us if we "were really" going to buy our dress. I understand that my reservation was again on a busy weekend but it was not ok to leave us unattended for over 25 minutes at a time and not giving us notices. She didn't really bring us the styles that we wanted despite having brought print outs from the website. Needless to say, we did not purchase their dresses here.

Not sure if they train bridal vs bridesmaids consultants differently but I would hope that they do. The prices over all were super reasonable. They encourage you to open a credit card to get a further discount which really makes sense! I had the money for my wedding dress but why say no for an additional discount so I opened a CC and subsequently paid it in full :)

I was hesitant about shopping at David's Bridal based on other reviews I had seen. HOWEVER, the customer service at this location was great! I made my appointment online and they called to confirm a few days before. I found my dress here and love it so much! I would like to send a big thank you to Mae, my sales lady. She is bubbly, patient, and a problem solver. I realize having bride(zilla)s try on dresses all day can be really stressful. I was expecting someone to be short-tempered and uninterested. Instead, I got Mae! She is anything but that. She is always cheerful and helpful. It’s like she hits the reset button with each customer. She was such a joy to work with.

She helped me choose a dress that was not only pretty with a beautiful lace back, but the structure of the dress helped me stand up tall on my special day.

ALTERATIONS:
Unlike most women, I have big boobs and small hips. Cinda is a problem solver. She is very talented and deeply knows how to alter the dress where it is not only ideal in form but flattering to the figure. Beyond her expertise, it is really her personality that shines through. She is eager to please to make sure the bride is very happy. Just looking at her demeanor, you would never guess she was dealing with constant deadlines and stressed-out brides all day long. Cinda added to the happiness of my day.

**Note: be prepared to leave room in the budget for alterations. Alterations make the dress. That being said, they can get very pricey quickly, and every request was an add-on. I ended up paying about $300 in alterations. I had to get a dress that was 2 sizes too big to accommodate my boobs. With that, we had to alter the remainder of the dress (waist and hips) to fit my figure.

My bridal appointment at the Riverside, CA store went very well. I had two appointments and had two attentive consultants. The only problem I had was with my bridesmaids appointment. It started out good but the consultant only pulled a couple of dresses and then disappeared. She my girls and I had to pull the rest of our dresses for our appointment. I had 3 bridesmaids and 1 junior bridesmaid and I was hoping to put them all in the same dress. I was able to do that but was a little frustrated when the consultant pulled junior dresses when I specifically asked her not to because it would be a waste of time. I didn't like any of the junior dresses and didn't want to waste time trying any of them on the junior bridesmaid. My alterations gal, Cinda from the Burbank store, was a miracle worker!!! Not only on my dress but my maid of honor's dress too. And, Cinda took the time to do a French bustle (I think that is what it is called) instead of the traditional run-of-the-mill bustles that most alterations people will do because the French bustle looked best on my dress.

I used David's Bridal in Burbank to order dresses for my bridesmaids. Although my gown was also David's Bridal, I purchased it through a charity and did not experience the service side of David's Bridal for my own gown. My wedding took place in a different state, where thankfully there was another location of David's Bridal because at the last minute one of my bridesmaids needed alteration to her dress. They took are of it for a surprisingly good price, and all was well for the wedding day.
