This store really made me feel at home and were very welcoming. They were also very patient as I flip-flopped through dresses over and over again. I chose my beautiful wedding dress with them and I couldn't be happier with it.

My wedding gown, bridal lingerie, shoes, bridemaids' dresses, mother-of-the-bride dress, invitations, and printed napkins were all purchased from David's Bridal. I absolutely love my gown--they have a good selection of plus size dresses for us brides with a little extra fluff ;) My only issue with attire was the BM dresses I chose for my girls are "special occassion" dresses and not part of the BM dress line. I would have liked to get those in the same shade as my shoes, but the color is close enough that I don't think anyone will notice. I would have prefered a bigger selection of flats since I'm the same height as my fiance--they only had one shoe style without a heel besides the tacky flip flops. The stationery was more expensive than I wanted to go, but I couldn't find better colors or designs for less, plus I was able to use the same design for my napkins. They arrived in a timely fashion and look perfect! Overall, I would reccommend David's Bridal to other brides.

The numbers could speak for themselves, but I will elaborate.

I went in to try on dresses around November or December of 2011. I found the dress that I wanted, an ordered it in the exact size of the dress that was on the showroom floor. When I tried that dress on, it was a little tight in the bust, but it zipped up and was comfortable everywhere else. I ordered the dress, in the same size but different color. I was told that it would be in by May.

The dress came in early (February) and I was excited. I tried it on and it was too small, to the point where it wouldn't even zip up. Since I was on a workout regiment I agreed to take the dress and the consultant (who was NOT the same consultant that I had when I originally ordered my dress) told me that there was no need to worry since I had ordered my dress so early that I would be fine to order another one or get alterations.

I went into the store the first week of June to get my alterations done and see what other final steps I needed to take to get my dress taken care of. The dress that was too small, actually zipped up, but it was too tight so I made an appointment to get alterations done. When I went to get my dress pinned, the seamstress told me that there was no way that the dress would ever fit, even if it was taken out to the maximum measurements. She also told me that I would bust the seams and basically ruin the dress if I tried to wear it. The dress needed to be taken out 2 3/4 inches and she told me that the dress allowed for that. But...the chiffon had a french seam and I would have to purchase additional chiffon to make the dress fit correctly. When asked about the price for chiffon she told me that David's did not sell fabric and that I would have to go match my own fabric and bring it to the seamstress.

Of course I was upset, so I got upset. The manager of the store came to calm me down. After telling her my issue, she proceeded to tell me that each color of the dress is made in a different factory and that sometimes the dresses aren't made to the same scale. Thinking that made no sense...I asked her what my options were. She said that I could order the dress in the next size up and that it would be back by 7/5 which was 9 days before my wedding. I told her that I guess that was what I was going to have to do and she looked up the dress in the computer. When she looked it up, she could not find a dress that would get back in time in the next size up so I had to order the dress two sizes too big. Because of that I had to pay $50 extra for an extended size when it wasn't even my mistake that the dress didn't fit.

When the dress came back I was called to come do a fitting and the dress was way too big. It was big enough for me to take off with the zipper zipped. Since my wedding was in a little over a week, I had to get alterations done. After pinning the dress...it had to be taken in almost 3 inches and cost me over $125. My original consultant was there that day and she looked to see if she could pull the original dress that i ordered, but it was no longer in the store. She actually apologized, but nothing else was ever done to compensate me for the time that I had to wait and all of the problems that I had.

I purchased my wedding dress. The dress was PERFECT for my destination wedding. It was priced moderately. I had it altered from a private party, Davids Bridal was to expensive for that. They were busy when I made my appointment and were not as attentive as I wanted but overall was ok.

I tried on dresses at David's and it was aweful. Seriously, just be willing to spend a little bit more money and go somewhere else. David's is like the WalMart of wedding dresses. Every other girl in there was either pregnant or already had a kid in there. My best friend bought her wedding dress there a couple of years ago and it has gone WAY down hill since then. I tried on some of the "designer" dresses, and on one the beads fell off when I started walking! I bought a BEAUTIFUL dress for relatively the same price somewhere else, where the workers were actually nice and accomodating. (Did I mention that David's lost my appointment and all the information from the first time I went in? Arrgghh... I won't keep telling horror stories, but trust me I have more!!)

I've had decent experiences with the David's bridal in Chattanooga on multiple occasions as a bridesmaid, and I am considering using them for my bridesmaid's gowns. However as a bride, my experience was terrible. Upon coming in two consultants ARGUED in front of my mother and I over who would help me. Not in the tone that they both wanted to help, but the tone that neither of them did and they both had other things to do around the store. I told them what I was looking for, and showed them a picture of a simple designer gown. I felt incredibly rushed and pushed to try on things I did not like. The woman helping me went so far as to snap at me for saying that I preferred ivory as apposed to white, stating hatefully any dress could be ordered in any color. I understand that the store is popular and the dresses are tried on frequently, but my mother was appalled by the conditions of the sample gowns. Several of the ones I tried on were down right filthy. We browsed through some bridesmaids dresses, and upon leaving there were 2 other brides in the store and one attendant told someone on the phone "it'll be a few minutes, we are completely slammed" which seemed a bit ridiculous. They definitely have staffing issues as well. Similarly, the women working looked unprofessionally disheveled to be working in a bridal store. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere. My initial intention was only to see if I could find a gown similar to the designer one I loved for less, and the quality of bridal gowns at David's simply did not compare. Make budget cuts somewhere else, ladies. Don't skimp on your dream dress! RUN BRIDES RUN!
