I made an appointment at David's Bridal thinking that I would have the option of finding a dress within my budget. I was asked about my budget and the type of dress I was looking for at the beginning of the appointment. Although the consultant that helped us was very sweet, she continued to bring dresses that were right at the top of my budget, if not a couple hundred dollars more, and dresses that I clearly was not very excited to try on. The store did not have any of the dresses available that I had favorited online. They expressed I had chosen dresses from their newer collection. I find that hard to believe though. I came home and looked through the dresses I had favorited on my online account. There were definitely a lot in my selection that had not been a part of a newer collection and were definitely within my price range. I kept expressing to the consultant that I was not looking for a ball gown and was rather looking for a simple, light-weighted dress. I even expressed that I would be getting married on a beach. I had visited another bridal store earlier that day and the consultant that helped me there began to figure out what style fit me best based on what I was liking and disliking from dresses I was trying on. I expected to have a similar experience at David's Bridal, but instead had the total opposite. The dresses kept getting more expensive and continued to not be anywhere near what I was asking. By all means, the consultant was very sweet the entire time. I may have had bad luck and worked with one that did not have much experience. Advice for future brides: 1) call the store ahead of time to see if they even have the dresses you are interested in available at the store 2) Give a price range that is lower than your true price range (E.g. if you are planning on spending $2000, express that you have a $1000-$1500 budget. Best of luck to future brides that decide to shop here. I unfortunately did not have a good experience.

From the moment I walked in they took great care of me and explained everything that would happen. If you are in La Mesa try and get Ayda. She is perfect in every way and gave me the best experience on finding the perfect dress. Highly recommended!

One month before my wedding day, I walked into David's Bridal at the Long Beach Towne Center and was assisted by Claire Francisco. Right off the bat, she was super friendly and super helpful. I told her I wanted a modern, non-frilly or non-lacey dress and pulled out a few that I liked. I put on the first dress that I picked and it was OK. But, the second dress I tried on was perfect. It was as one that she chose out for me and after trying on 3 more dresses, I ended up choosing dress #2. The whole time she helped me get in and out of dresses, she was very sweet and engaged me with conversation which helped make the process easier to endure. She also assisted my two MOHs with their dresses. We were in and out in an hour and a half. Not bad at all. Thank you sooo much Claire for all your help and your friendly sweet personality! You are the best!!!

I'm getting married at the courthouse during the week and then doing a ceremony and reception on Saturday with all our family and friends. I wanted a white dress for the courthouse and then a fancier one for Saturday. I got two dresses for less than $300 and I'm very happy with them. The consultant did try to do her job and sell me a belt, a veil, and shoes but after she told me the price for the veil was $150, and the dress I was getting was $175, I was like "The veil is almost as much as the veil?!?!?" No thanks. I have since purchased a veil on Amazon that I'm happy with. We also went shopping there with my bridesmaids, which was a little hit and miss. Started out very rough, our consultant was working with three other people, which in all fairness they warn you about when you make the appt, but it left us to pull our own dresses and basically take care of ourselves for the first 30 minutes or so. Once she finished with her other clients, she was more helpful and went to get dresses, research different size options and we decided on the bridesmaids dresses too. One of them was a final clearance and with the discount since I bought my dress there and other markdowns, one bridesmaid paid $22 for her dress!! And it really is something she can wear again, so she was very happy. The other bridesmaid is paying close to $200 because they didn't have that one in her size, so that wasn't great. Overall a pretty good shopping experience just with some minor headaches.

The staff was very patient and helpful while I took forever to settle on a dress. They had so many to choose from I was amazed. My Vera wang dress that I chose was beyond great!

I have mixed feelings on my experience. the girl who took care of me was awesome. apparently if something didn't fit, she went running (literally running, my sis saw her) to grab me something that would work (I had issues w the bra and underskirt). so for that..for her...it was great except, she wasn't my "consultant". so im not sure she got the full credit she deserved because my actual "consultant" checked me out and we all know u need to put in ur codes to work a register so its like she made the sale.

now for the checking out part. we had issues. I had a coupon I got at a bridal show, the girl there said I can use it on anything. I asked her abt clearance and everything, she said yeah. so when I busted out my coupon....it wasn't allowed because my dress was on clearance. ok. then she tries to upsell the preserved box...sure my sis talked me into it. my consultant charges full price (it was on sale). had to call a manager over to do a return and resell items. so that's extra time there. asked the manager if shell honor coupon. she does. umm how easy was that, consultant could have just did that in 1st place. then after all that, I was told if I open a credit card w them, I would get a certain % off everything I buy today. never got it. I wasn't sure if I was to get it on my statement or what. but oh well...lost out on that. they'll probably say cuz I got the coupon instead. spent over $600 every penny counts, u know. I would suggest, be very aware when it comes down to paying for everything.

as for store, its very pack. lots of brides...and I had an appt. still had to share my "runway" w 3-4 other brides and their families. ha. I went into the bathroom another time, it wasn't in tip top shape. hand dryer wasn't working, n no paper towels. not a lot of selection for flower girl or bridesmaids dresses, so ill probably go somewhere else. and im dreading when alteration time comes around. a lot of mixed reviews on that. ekk. but I cant say on that yet.

The employees here were over the top with trying to make you feel like a princess. The employee who helped me try on my dresses was attentive and was working until we got the perfect dress. She also wanted to know everything about our wedding to make sure we picked the perfect dress. It was a lovely experience.
