PLEASE do not get your wedding dress from David's Bridal. I ordered my wedding dress on 5/1/2016 at Manhattan's 6th Ave location. I got an email Aug 25(almost 4 months later) saying my dress was ready for pick up so I made my alterations appointment for Sept 1. I showed up with my mother very excited for my fitting when to our disappointment the wrong dress was at the store. The manager disappeared for quite some time leaving me extremely anxious as to what happened with the dress I purchased. She finally realized that when my dress was ordered one of the numbers of the style# was entered incorrectly. I do not know how a huge mistake like that could be made. The managers never apologized and even blamed me by telling me I did not check the style number. The second manager began yelling at my mother and me and told us she does not have time for us, is to busy and has other customers to assist totally disregarding me and the situation. My wedding dress experience is ruined and I do not wish that upon any Bride.

I'm done with this crap hole! They've made my wedding stressful!!! The ONLY aspect of my wedding that hasn't been easy or gone my way is working with David's Bridal! They've screwed up all 7 of my bridesmaid's orders, but the one that takes the cake is the order one of my bridesmaid's ordered in a Virginia store that was sent to a Brooklyn store I've never stepped foot into! Then customer service there was giving her attitude and said SHE would need to pay for it to be shipped to her!!? They're the ones that screwed up royally on her order, and then have the nerve to tell her she needs to pay for shipping. Took over an hour, because she was on hold for 12 minutes, to get them to do the right thing and ship it to her house. When the order came in, not ONLY was the dress not the right style she ordered but it wasn't even the size she ordered!!! What is wrong with these people!!? This isn't rocket science yet they have managed to mess up each and everyone of my bridesmaid's orders! Now my wedding is too close to get her the correct order so the next best thing is a strapless version of the dress the rest of the girls are wearing. If she was maid of honor it wouldn't be so bad that she has a different dress but she's not and now she's the only one in that dress throwing everything else off. I'm absolutely furious and I can't believe a big name corporation can mess up such a simple order!!! Thanks for ruining what should be the easiest part of my wedding David's Bridal! You people don't give a flying crap about your customers and it shows!! Just because their prices are better than others, it's not worth the trouble!! There are sooooo many other companies that have just as good of prices, if not better, and I guarantee much better customer service! I can't believe they aren't doing everything they can to make this right!

I bought my dress at a different David's Bridal location, but this location was close to where I live, so I found my veil here and also had my alterations done here. Roya, the alterations manager, was excellent. If I had worked with her the whole time, this review would be much closer to 5 stars. When I couldn't find a veil I liked in the length I was looking for, she happened to be walking around the salon and offered the option of shortening a veil I really liked, which was perfect. David's Bridal insisted on doing my first fitting two months before my wedding. This made no sense to me; like every bride, I planned to increase my gym time and lose more weight as my wedding got closer. When I arrived for my first fitting, a consultant was helping me and didn't seem confident in what she was doing. I asked if Roya was there, and Roya came and took over the appointment. I immediately felt at ease. When I came back for my second fitting a month later Roya was not there. The consultant felt the dress fit me fine, but I had lost weight since my last fitting and wasn't convinced, so I insisted on coming back when Roya was there the following week. Roya found the dress was too loose in nearly every area, and it was a strapless dress with a zippered back, so too loose could mean my dress sliding down! In the end, the dress fit me well, but if I had not had Roya helping me, I'm not convinced it would have. Roya is phenomenal; she has one lady who works for her who seemed to be okay, but the rest of the alterations specialists didn't seem to know what they were doing. My alterations, including the bustle, were $737, which I felt was quite steep. David's Bridal's dresses are beautiful for very reasonable prices, so if you're in New York, shop for dresses at this location, but have your alterations done elsewhere. Unless you work with Roya at every appointment, you're taking a risk.

My daughter bought her wedding gown at DB in westbury because it was a reasonable price. We Also got the bridesmaid dresses and I got my MOB dress there. We were not told that once the dresses arrive we needed to pick them up. All the dresses except 2 dresses because they were different from the bridesmaids dresses came in within 2 weeks. My dress did not fit right and no one can tell you how much alterations will cost. Because of that I choose to get another dress. The second dress arrived within 3 weeks and I picked it up. I wasn't happy with the way it fit. I was told to come back in January and they would have new stock for me to pick from. I went back in February and they didn't have much of a different selection. After not being able to find a different dress I decided I would get the same dress In a different size. They did not have the size I needed in the store to try on. When I got to the register to place the order I was told that I had to pay $20 more because I was getting a bigger size. I asked if that could be waived because I already knew it would be too big in certain parts and I would have to spend a lot more money on alterations. I was told no. I ended up speaking to the manager and asking for my money back.
They wanted to charge 25 to rush a delivery for a bridesmaids dress but couldn't guarantee that it would get there on time! Why would someone pay for a rush order if they didn't know it would arrive in time?
My daughter ended up returning the wedding gown. They do NOT give refunds, only store credit. They make you spend the store credit the day you make the return and you must spend the whole store credit that day. You can not use it online either. Having store credit and having to use it all in one day is exhausting and frustrating. I would never shop there again. It's worth it to pay a little extra money and go to a better bridal shop.

my future wife bought a dress from davids bridal in Massapequa new York. during alterations her dress was butchered. another dress was shipped from the west coast and was the wrong color. now a month from our wedding we have no dress and no refund. davids bridals staff has been rude and unprofessional. the 1 person that has been helpful is on vacation and corporate offices are closed due to inclement weather. my future wife should be glowing with excitement, instead she has been crying. iam currently trying to keep her as far away from the store location as possible....never again

I am getting married Oct -2013 and went in to DB Feb to pick out a dress, found a dress- ordered it April and was told it would be in June 5 exactly. I get a call from Davids on May 8th saying my dress was in and ready for pick-up. I was kind of shocked that it was in so early so I went down to pick it up. When I got to the store- it was 30 mins before closing and the clerk went behind the register and handed me a dress with a plastic bag over it. The tulle was showing and hanging out of the bottom of the bag. I looked at the girl and said- Don't you have a garment bad that I can put the dress in, the clerk looked annoyed and said well it's $10, I told her, that's fine- I just paid $800 for a dress I don't think it will matter. When I got home and was looking at the dress- it has poor craftsmanship, jagged lines cut in the bottom of the tulle, hot pink, red and blue random pieces of thread in the tulle of the dress and snags of string with beading hanging off. I called the location where I picked up the dress and tried to complain to the lady and she told me they would fix it when I came in for alterations. I told her I didn't need alterations because I the dress fits me and I'm not bustling it. She basically told me the dress was sold as final sale and they can't fix it without me paying for it. Bottom line, I was warned to not go there, I tried it because I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this is what happens. Just be cautious when buying from them!!

VERY UNHAPPY WITH SERVICE GOOD MORNING MY NAME IS DAWN M LUCIANO AND BOUGHT MY DRESS AT YOUR WESTBURY, NY DAVID BRIDALS. I went on August 27th for my first fitting. Come out and fitting manage was the one going to be helping me. Ok she says we have to hem it and to bustle ok. I go how much will it be to hem. She says 120.00. I know I didn't pay a lot for my dress but almost paying 1/2 of what I paid for my dress to alter it. I'm paying for my own dress and entire wedding. Ok I say I will get higher shoes. So then I what's the cost to bustle my dress. First 3 hooks are 35 dollars and needed at least 10. Ok I said never mind I will carry it. She Says fine and rips the pins out where the bustle needed to be. I go take my dress off and I put dress on hook. (O and I had better service and help when picking my dress) but I guess it doesn't matter after that how you are treated. So I ask can I get a dress garment bag. She says I can give u plastic bag. Are u serious why because I didn't get any alterations and I didn't spend a lot of money. I went up front to complain and the girl that org helped me pick a dress came up behind me with a garment bag. So I go in the alterations area and my dress is already has a plastic bag over it. Sees me with the garment bag starts ripping the plastic off with an attitude and she goes and makes a comment saying who in your consultant why don't u see if she can get your dressed pressed too. I was very un happy and left crying. I thought that was such poor customer service in the alterations dept. And to top it off I was so upset I left my shoes behind.
