My husband and I met with Bob early on in our planning process. One of the things we really liked about him was the experience he claimed he had in our particular venue. We had heard the acoustics were challenging, but Bob reassured us he'd done enough weddings there to have all the kinks worked out.

That was not the case - at all.

We had a friend sing our first dance. He and Bob practiced for a few hours just before the ceremony started and got everything just right. When it came time for the performance, we were greeted with about 30 seconds of screeching.

Then, when my father got up to give his speech, Bob told him he could go anywhere in the seating area with the microphone and he would adjust the levels. This was also not the case. We were again met with screeching, followed by the speakers in the back of the room going out. Only the guests in the front part of the room were able to hear my dad's speech.

When it was time to dance, some of our guests requested songs that Bob did not have. Normally this would not be an issue, but they were specific songs we had asked him to have.

Finally, and the most aggravating of all... we were charged a late fee by our venue for leaving late, because of Bob. We had discussed this multiple times in our meetings, and it was also clearly written on the information sheet Bob requires each couple to fill out. All guests were off property, but because Bob took his time loading his equipment, we had to pay $200. When we asked him to help us re-coup some of the costs, he ignored us.

Save yourself embarrassment and go with someone else.
