Prior to my wedding Cindy was very helpful. I paid in full early and she gave me a discount. On the night of my wedding two young ladies came to DJ stating that Cindy had another engagement. I reviewed with the DJ's the itinerary and they informed me that they did not know that I was supposed to have lights. The DJ's called Cindy who apologized for the mix up and promised a refund for the lights I had paid to have. It would have been nice to have the lights since it was an evening wedding, instead we used someones computer to shine some colored dots around the room. Thank goodness for my wedding party! The DJ's that were sent were wonderful but not very energetic and frequently asked what time to play what songs, I was told that things would go smoothly and the DJ service was professional and would know when to play certain music based on their experience. What really bothers me is that I am still waiting for a refund. I have emailed Cindy, she has sent a response saying she would refund my money but 6 months later, STILL NOTHING! POOR BUSINESS PRACITCES!!!!!! She has since not responded to several of my emails and I am about ready to call the BBB!

Payment has been mailed for the light refund... As far as my other DJ you had said she did a wonderful job and you would refer her to anyone having a wedding. She is a wedding coordinator by trade and she may have been just checking in with you to make sure everything was going good and that you were still wanting to keep things on schedule.. She is all about making sure it all runs smoothly and that you have a good time. I do wish there wasn't a confusion on the lights and we could go back and fix that.

She played everything I asked for when we sat down and talked about music. She made sure that the day of, as the bride, I didn't have to stress out over anything in any all aspects of the day. For example, when the banquet permit was nowhere to be found and I was being bothered about it, she stepped in and handled it. Even during the reception when we ran out of ice, she left the music on and ran and got some from the store for us. All around amazing experience, and she helped enormously to make that happen! DJ Sandman was a perfect fit for our wedding. She was able to get my uncles and the 'older' crowd out dancing and then was happy to stay when it was just the bridal party remaining. Despite the long drive to our venue, we weren't charged for a travel fee, although we would have been more than willing to pay for her. Four weeks later and my family is still talking about the dancing... We can't thank her enough!

DJ Cindy Sandman was absolutely amazing, she hit everything right on the nose. Everyone from young to old had an amazing time and couldn't stay off the dance floor. She was awesome at a last minute request of playing music for the ceremony itself including finding beautiful bagpipes to play as I walked down the isle. Everything about what she did was amazing. The kids had an amazing time, no one got roudy and everyone had fun. I couldn't thank her enough for doing such a wonderful job and I would most definitely recommend her to anyone...hopefully in 10 or 20 years she be able to play at our renewal of vows!!! She was awesome! Thank you so much!

DO NOT USE..... We hired DJ Sandman for our wedding in September 2011. We did not have any real issues prior to the wedding except for the delay in response. I sent over play lists, setup and times prior to our wedding. The day of the wedding, a young man showed up 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. We had to stall to give him time to set up so there would be music for the ceremony. I was told that I was hiring a husband and wife team only to have a very young man arrive to DJ. We then found out that the DJ did not bring the wireless microphone we asked for. My guests were unable to hear the wedding because of this. What a huge dissapointment. The DJ also did not have all the music that I spent hours putting together. When we returned from our honeymoon, I sent Cindy an email and was told that she was sorry that we were unhappy and would be sending us a refund as she guarantees 100% satisfaction. It is now January and we still have not recieved a refund or an apology. Their service is not worth the money especially when you dont get what you paid for.

She came and DJ'd with less than 48 hours notice, out in the sticks, under the emergency budget. I was lucky I chose her because most others would have flaked in that situation. She played great music, had excellent equipment and a wonderful personality.

If they didn't have it already they were more than willing to make sure they did. They kept things moving on time and checked with us to make sure there wasn't anything else we wanted to do.

BEWARE... We hired Cindy for our wedding in August 2011. What should of been the happiest day of my life wasn't... I found out the day before the wedding (our rehearsal dinner night) that she wasn't going to make it. She couldn't make it because her sister was sick with cancer and she wanted to go with her to her appointment. My wedding coordinator was the one that told me she wouldn't be there but she was sending another DJ. The DJ she sent was a joke an Ipod and speakers would of been better. He had played the same song 3 times in a row within 10 minutes. Our wedding coordinator had to help him announce everything (first dance, wedding toast, father daughter dance) it was clear he did not know what he was doing. The equipment he had was terrible. During our ceremony the mic wasn't working correctly the speakers sounded bad as it did in our reception too. The DJ didn't even go off our timeline, didn't play the music we had on our playlist. Our guest were leaving early and I couldn't help but wonder if they were leaving because of the music. After the wedding my husband contacted Cindy to let her know that we were very unhappy with the service we had received from her company and wanted our money back. She said she wasn't sure she could do that her husband was laid off and she had to pay the DJ $250.00. You would think that if her husband was laid off he could of been the DJ at the wedding since they advertise "husband and wife" team. I found that very strange she would say such a thing. I understand her wanting to be with her sister but her husband couldn't DJ for our wedding? She then agreed to send us 200.00 of our money back that we have yet to see. So in the end she made 325.00 off our wedding and did nothing but ruin what should of been a special day. I would not recommend her or her company very unprofessional...

Additionally, it is difficult for me to ACCEPT the fact that my wife feels as badly as she does about her choice to hire you and your company and feels like her wedding (her one special day) was ruined because of your inability to fulfill your duties as our wedding DJ.
The reason that she is posting reviews about you is so that no future bride's have to go through the disappointment and anguish that she has experienced due to your failure to perform. In our initial meeting you seemed to be a very genuine and professional person that wanted to be a part of making a bride's one day very Special. In the end, almost every aspect of your DJ service was extremely poor at best. I personally struggle with thinking that my judge of your professionalism and character could have been so misguided. During the time that has passed since our wedding Ronie has searched the review sites in depth and found that there are a significant number of reviews out there that cite many of the issues that we experienced and in each and every one of these reviews you refute your customers claims. If it was only a review or two that expressed a problem I would be able to understand that maybe the reviews were somewhat unfounded and / or just a subjective opinion. However, with so many negative reviews, and the haste with which you respond to those reviews, and your attempts to have them removed leads me the conclusion that our experience is more the rule rather then exception of your performance. It would seem to me that at some point you would have to look yourself in the mirror and take responsibility for how you treat your customers. As human beings we all make mistakes. What really defines us and our individual character is how we handle these mistakes. My experience with you has brought me to the conclusion that you have great difficulty in taking personal and professional responsibility for your actions. The reviews that Ronie has posted are in fact the truth - so taking them down becomes a challenging dilemma for us. You were given the opportunity to rectify situation and you chose to make a refund offer that in our opinion was not fair. You clearly are incapable of understanding that you ruined my brides Special Day! Below I have a list of the specific issues that we experienced - if only one or two of these things had happened, we would be able to overlook them and reflect back on our wedding as a great experience. Sadly, that is not the case. We have given you the opportunity and the time to ponder what happened and your offer of a $200 dollar refund is simply unacceptable. Ronie feels like you ruined her wedding. She feels like even if you paid for 100% of her wedding that it would not be enough to make up for her Special Day being ruined. It is difficult for us to understand as well as being insulted by your offer of $200 as a refund. If we were to accept your offer we would be condoning your performance. If you recall, during our last conversation you had told me that you would not be able to refund us the $525 because you had paid the DJ that you sent to do the job $250 and that would mean that you would lose money. Well, quite frankly, whether you make or lose money is really not my concern. My concern is that you perform as agreed and you clearly have not performed. To solve this problem following is what we will accept:

1) Refund of $525 by cashiers check received by us not later than November 8th, 2011

2) A response to Ronie's review in which you take complete responsibility for failure to perform that includes stating that you refunded 100% of the fee with the commitment that your objective
is to do everything within your control to make your customers happy.

TODAY is NOVEMBER 21st 2011 and we still have not received a check from Cindy Sandman

Advertise as a Husband and Wife team and later said that your husband was laid off from his ‘real’ job but for some reason he was not available to fill in for you when you were unable to fulfill your commitment

The replacement DJ that you sent was completely unprepared, unprofessional, had sub par equipment:
- DJ had a confrontational personality
- DJ was unable to listen and follow directions from the wedding coordinator and the groom
- Did not get the bride’s walk down the aisle music correct: about 30 – 40 seconds of dead air while the bride was walking down the aisle
- It took an hour for the DJ to move his equipment from the ceremony area to the reception area and he had to ask for help from the wedding guests
- DJ did not perform the MC duties and the wedding coordinator had to perform these duties all through the reception
- Played the wrong type of music during the cocktail hour and the dinner time. The music that he played during this time included some of the dance music play list including the Bride and Groom’s First Dance music.
- When it came time for the best man and maid of honor to give their toasts, the wireless mic did not work more than 20’ from the control equipment
- Did play correctly the Bride and Groom First Dance music
- Played multiple songs more than once and a few songs as many as 4 times
- Played GHETTO RAP music which caused the guests to leave the reception early
- DJ was doing video recording of the guests while dancing which is unprofessional, illegal, and unauthorized

We do our best to take care of our clients and when emergencies arise we have backup dj's to cover in this case our DJ did not do a good job and we have let go of our DJ from our company and he will be no longer working for us we are soley a family based company as of now and hope to continue to provide great service to others! We wish we could fix this above wedding. We do also feel that the above review is of our past DJ and not our services personally and if you read all of the reviews on me personally you will see that I do care about my clients and do a wonderful job at their weddings!!!
