About Doing It Herself Event Design and CoordinationMy name is Jen. This is my story.
With 10 years working in the non-profit world as an event planner, the stars aligned last fall when my husband proposed. With the opportunity to have all of the people we loved in one space for just one night, I wanted to create an event that would feel like "us" from beginning to end. Little did I know that in process of planning and styling my own handmade wedding I would find one of the most creatively rewarding experiences of my life.
I have a decade of detailed planning experience, an art school background and a passion for all things crafty. I want to help other couples to create an event that reflects their favorite things in life. To create a moment that truly reflects who they are and sets the backdrop for a celebration of pure fun!
Full service event planning:
Beginning 9-12 months before your event, Jen will meet with you to create a plan combining your personality, your love story and elements of your family background to select the best vendors and design hand-made decor for a day that feels like “you.”
6-9 months before your event, we will meet to discuss how to personalize your venue, select color palettes, central decor themes and floral design. Working within your budget, Jen can help you with easy decor projects to create a unique setting your guests will never forget.
"Day of” Styling:
“Day of Styling” is for the couple who already have their decor selected and don’t want to be running around hanging decorations on their big day. Jen will meet with you in advance to go over the layout of the space. This option includes full set up and removal of decor that you provide.
