I have to be quite frank that working with Dolphin Event Services was the worst part of planning our wedding. We were required to work with this vendor since our wedding was held at the LA County Arboretum, so if you're getting married there take note in advance. Though I'll note all of the other required vendors were highly professional and easy to work with.

I think the challenge working with Dolphin started when I approached the contact person, Joscelyn, asking for quotes on items rather than selecting "my picks" from a non-priced list of items. Our relationship further degraded when I asked our wedding coordinator at the arboretum if it fell within our contract to move a PA system from the ceremony location on the grounds to the reception venue at the cafe. I am not sure if it was because I was perceived as cheap or if there was some offense that I asked someone other than Joscelyn, but it kind of all fell apart from there.

Response times were far too long and questions I would email wouldn't be answered. At one point we requested items to be added to our rental order, only to find out later (after their stock was fully spoken for on our wedding weekend) that the hold was never placed.

Toward the end we actually needed an intermediary (the wonderful Nicole Olivas of the Peacock Cafe) to help coordinate our rental order.

Honestly, a nightmare from start to finish.

I have to be quite frank that working with Dolphin Event Services was the worst part of planning our wedding. We were required to work with this vendor since our wedding was held at the LA County Arboretum, so if you're getting married there take note in advance. Rep made a mistake in the delivery charge & increased the delivery charge 3 days before the wedding with no mention of the mistake/increase. The $275 delivery charge had been on all updated invoices though out the 8 month period of inventory adjustments with Dolphin. The delivery increase is only $20, which I would not have minded if it was caught earlier on & I was told that it she made a mistake, but NOT 3 days before the wedding with no mention of why it up. At this late of time, it's a matter of principle. Ended up having to reach out to the manager who adjusted the delivery charge back to the original amount.

Rehearsal Day & the day before the Wedding, I realize I was never charged the final balance that Wednesday. I was concerned about whether my rentals would actually be delivered or not on Saturday. No response from the rep, who turned out was not in that day, so Manager charged the card, but the charge was based on the previous inventory of when I paid my initial 50% deposit. Since then, there had been an updated inventory. Manager gave me rep's cell, & told me to discuss with rep to confirm delivery of the finalized inventory order. 3 messages on her cell before & during Rehearsal with no response. Even the Arboretum Coordinator who had been talking to her that day, asked her to give me a call during Rehearsal. No response. I did NOT need this stress the day before my Wedding! I'm supposed to be able to enjoy the Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner! I think it took the Arboretum Coordinator a 2nd call to her to call me, before the rep finally responded as I was arriving to my Rehearsal Dinner.

The rep had been very responsive the 8 months prior, until I had to call the Manager when it became obvious the rep was not going to do anything about my unhappiness with the sudden increase. I believe her sudden lack of response to me to be purposeful on her part, & possibly the not charging the final balance on the credit card. Not professional.

My only complaint is that they ask where all rentals are going to be setup and upon arriving to my venue the day before the wedding the only thing set up was the dance floor. Everything else was put in a pile.
