I got in contact with Edgewater Pavilion today and they were very kind, but Aubrey informed me they are no longer in business. Apparently they closed down some time last year. She said she does not have a way to delete this venue from Wedding Wire. Just wanted to let people know so they are not left wondering. They also have a Facebook page if you wanted to see more pictures. It looks gorgeous and I am bummed I can not have my wedding there!

We were incredibly happy with our experience at Edgewater!! It was amazing how much "bang for your buck" you get when you use this venue. Wedding costs add up quickly when you have to rent flatware, silverware, table linens, tables chairs, etc. but luckily for us all of these things are included at Edgewater. The thing that was included that we found most instrumental in making our wedding day PERFECT was having a coordinator. Our coordinator was Melody and she was absolutely fantastic! Any concerns we had or changes we wanted made were taken care of quickly and professionally. The staff was attentive, caring and genuinely excited to be a part of our day (Valerie is the sweetest!). We had a couple of concerns about sound issues only days before our wedding as my attention was brought to the fact that our DJ was less than ecstatic with how the last wedding he did there turned out. I spoke to Melody immediately and she took care of it right away...what a relief! I knew that once I arrived at the venue, and even in the days leading up to it, I need not worry. Everything turned out better than we had envisioned! My only gripe is that before we received our coordinator the woman we booked with (Aubrey) was sometimes slow to respond to emails but I know her plate was very full as the owner and another bride-to-be.

I was a little leary of this venue, after reading and hearing some bad reviews, but everything turned out AMAZING and I truly believe this venue MADE our wedding. That's not to say there weren't some bumps in the road...

First of all, we contacted Aubrey for a tour and everything was great. She has extensive knowledge of other vendors and gave us a lot of direction in that area. After we decided to book, though, it took almost a month to get the contract... I think it was 'lost in the mail' once or twice.

We did get the place booked, and were excited for our wedding! Then we went to a bridal expo at the venue and saw it was under construction. They were altering the place without even notifying any of the brides who had already booked. We raised our concerns and it turned out other brides had the same feelings, and as far as I know the ceremony site will remain the same. It's beautiful, with just the lake and horizon behind you. The things they did add turned out beautiful, and I'm truly glad! The expanded deck off the lakehouse with firepit, and reception tent are very impressive. My guests keep telling me it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended.

A few other issues: at the 10-day walkthrough, there was a miscommunication. Becky (who is an AMAZING coordinator! make sure she's available for your date, her day-of services are included in their venue package) led us to believe we could just leave all our decor there and they would take care of ALL setup... she even went over where and how we wanted everything set up. Then on the day of, she told my mom, 'We don't do decor setup...' and my bridesmaids had to do all the setup because we had told my aunts, who wanted to help, not to come early because we thought all the setup was covered. This resulted in me getting hardly any pictures taken with my bridesmaids. It is what it is though, and everything got set up. Also, we were told champagne flutes were included in our package, but when we did the toast, our guests were served champagne in the plastic cups we provided for other beverages. Not a big deal, just a note.

Other than that, Valerie and Becky (2 coordinators) were invaluable the day of our wedding, spraying us with bugspray (mosquitoes do get a little intense near the lake) and checking with us as the event went on, making sure everything was ok. My advice: appreciate the venue for its simplistic beauty, don't add a lot of decor, and let the day center around you and your new husband. The little things don't matter. Also, it is an expensive venue, but you can save a lot if you don't have your heart set on a Saturday wedding. We saved $1500 by choosing a Sunday instead.

It's still a new venue and they've worked out a lot of the kinks. There are some bad reviews from when they were a little less organized, but at the end of the day, I have NO REGRETS about choosing Edgewater Pavilion.

I initially worked with a coordinator when booking Edgewater Pavilion for my wedding and months in advance we finalized the details for my wedding. Unfortunately, the coordinator who worked with me was suddenly fired 3 weeks before my wedding day and although I met with the owner/manager to go over the plans that had already been arranged with the previous coordinator...none of it was followed up on or completed as promised for my wedding day. The entire number of tables for our guests was changed the day before my wedding (from 20 tables to only 14) which caused stress and incurred unnecessary expense for centerpieces. I was told numerous times that the venue could hold 200 people (and this is also stated on wedding websites that feature this venue - some even say capacity is 300!!), but after the number of tables was cut I was told I was mistaken and the venue could only fit 175 people "uncomfortably". For my wedding of 150 I would say this venue was still too small to fit everyone comfortably. In addition, my wedding was 3 months ago and I have never received a final bill or the return of my deposit. I've contacted the owner and she has not responded with any receipts outlining our payments/refund and has been rude to myself, my husband, bridesmaids, my dad and my mom on multiple occasions. Although the venue is beautiful, please save yourself the stress and frustration. My suggestion is to plan your wedding somewhere with better service and organization where the owner actually enjoys their job and working with the public.
