What primary photographic style do you identify with?
Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture
What do your packages include?
Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Prints
Do you have liability insurance?
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I process all my images through Adobe Lightroom software. This means each image gets touched and fine tuned by me. The image capture is just the beginning, the post processing is where the magic happens.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes. Day or night, indoors or outside. If it's challenging, bring it on.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot Digital only. Although I did learn photography when there was something called a "darkroom", where we played with nasty chemicals and had to watch the timer.
How many photographers do you work with?
I am your primary shooter. Larger weddings and certain packages will mean I have a second photographer with me.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes (unless god forbid, an accident occurs).
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I never book myself for more than one wedding a day. If business is good I might have a job friday night and then one saturday night.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. I belong a group called the Digital Wedding Forum (a large group of pro wedding photographers), whereby in an emergency, other professionals always step up.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Multiple Canon camera bodies. An assortment of professional lenses, flash equipment, batteries, lots of storage cards. Good thing I'm strong, cause I wear most of it on my body.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes. Redundancy is the holy grail of being a professional photographer.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My starter package includes 5 hours of coverage in an effort to work with those on a budget. My packages then incrementally include more hours. And I of course have a full day package.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. My fee is $200 per hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Do you take any breaks at your wedding? If you answered no, then I don't either. Food is nice, but not always necessary.
Do you charge for travel?
I shoot locally in Los Angeles to Santa Barbara to San Diego to Mammoth Lakes, CA. I will also shoot locally in Boise, ID. I will travel anywhere, we can chat about the details. When do we leave?
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Your images will be posted to a secure online view gallery within 4 days of your event, if not sooner.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Digitally online.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Online gallery is active for 6 months.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. In our contract you are given permission to use the high resolution digital negatives for personal, non-commercial use, such as sharing and printing.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Will images be available for viewing online?
What kind of albums do you offer?
I prefer quality flush mounted albums from companies like west coast albums, cypress, pictobooks, or asuaka book. The choices are endless and are always a function of your budget.
When will the client get the final album?
Tough question. Some albums can be done in weeks, however others take 6 to 8 weeks. Depends on the album choice and album vendor.

Eric Vizents was the photographer for our wedding at the Inn of the 7th Ray and he did an aboslutely fabulous job with the photos. First, Eric is very personable and professional -- just a pleasure to work with. Second, he adds an artistic touch to his photos that makes it all seem somehow magical. Yes, there are the "standard" formal shots (which are great), but Eric is also a true artist and took many candid shots as well as still shots of the venue and the set up and was able to truly capture the look and feel of the wedding. He also captured all the details from the centerpieces to the fountain to the rings and the dress. It was such a blur to me that day so it was nice to be able to go back and look at the photos to really take in all the details. Third, Eric has the technical expertise and experience to deal with challenges. We got married in the evening at a semi-outdoor venue with trees and beams and poles in the way (and lots of sparkly lights). Eric got the lighting just right to where you can see everything clearly without taking away from the beautiful effect of all the string lights and candles. It was also hard to shoot because there are things in the way and he somehow found a good angle for his shots. And finally, he did all this so discretely, you would almost forget he was there. He just blended in with the crowd and didn't get in the way. He let the focus be on us and not on the guy with the camera! Thank you Eric for capturing our special memories!
