Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
Event One is a on-location professional videography company. My office is in my home where I edit the videos.
Do you offer demo DVDs for potential clients to look at?
Yes, I offer brides a consolation meeting at a local cafe where we can watch videos and talk about the wedding day.
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
I do send DVD's of the raw video to the bride and groom a week after the wedding. I also can extract special moments to a video file for the bride and groom to upload on their social media pages on request
Describe any special editing services you offer:
The wedding highlights reel is the most popular of the special editing that I perform, and it comes with every wedding package.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
I use an on-camera light to illuminate the scene when needed.

Yes, I do bring a backup HD camera of similar quality in case the main camera is in an accident.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
As specified in the wedding contract, if there is a wedding dinner then it is the client who will provide us a meal if the wedding package is over 4 hours.
Do you charge overtime?
Yes, $100 an hour after our contracted time. I understand there may be delays due to weather, traffic and unforeseen issues and will work with you to make sure that all your special wedding day events are covered.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
I only provide DVD's of the raw footage.
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?
I view this as a 'work made for hire' and the rights of the video stay with the client. I would ask permission however to use the video for any promotion, or to enter in to a contest.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
I will take the clients feedback in consideration when making the final cut.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?

It was very important to my husband and I that we videotape our wedding. I found Mark at Event one. He was reasonable priced, giving a range of options to fit our budget. He was very responsive to our request. We received the footage very very quickly and the footage was excellent. I would definitely recommend him for any videographer needs

Mark did a wonderful job in all aspect of capturing our wedding. A wedding is kind of a circus with multiple vendors trying to corral the bride and groom. Mark did a great job working with the photographers and dj. Kathleen and I are happy to have the memory captured on video. I recommend Mark for videography services.

Pros: Mark was easy to work with. His services are very affordable. It was really important for us to be able to hear the vows in the video, so he used a lapel mic on the groom and it caught every word! The color and quality of the video itself is very good. The video messages left for us by friends and family during the reception were really fun to watch. Mark volunteered to stay an hour later than the contract said so that he could capture the toasts and the first dance. We're thrilled to have a record of my maid of honor's HILARIOUS toast!

Cons: My husband does not like watching the video, because the lapel mic recorded his panic in the minutes leading up to the ceremony as he scrambled to find the iPod (used for postlude music). Twenty minutes of live music, done by two of our friends, was not captured. Instead, Mark superimposed his own soundtrack on the beginning of the video, and the effect is a little corny. My mom likes it, though.
