We held out Reception and Ceremony at the Elkhart Onetwelve Event Centre and used Formal Affairs as well. They are associated with Formal Affairs. They offered us a discount package with Tuxedo Rental, Bridal Gown, Bridemaids, The Venue we used for our Reception and for the Ceremony. We also used Formal Affairs Disc Jockey Services for the Reception and the Ceremony and it was wonderful. We had a very pleasant experience over all. The Cost of all the services combined was the best that we could find in our entire area on the formalwear and gowns. Plus, they allowed us to us our own caterer and provide many of our own items saving us thousands of dollars. They were very busy with other customers, at different times that we visited, but once they were finished with them they gave us all of their attention and were very attentive. They allowed my fiance to try on his tux on the spot during our initial planning stages to make sure he liked what he had chosen not just off a mannequin or picking out if a book this helped comfert him tremendously. Many of our groomsmen were out of town measurments and when they picked them up the measurements we gave them were not quite right. Formal Affairs staff had everything right there and they simply gave them all new product and altered and adjusted them and fixed them all on the spot that day with no delay . They didnt even charge us for anything extra. Our tuxedos were nearly $80 cheaper per tux than anywhere else on 10 guys that adds up. Apparently after all these years and with their new staff they must have learned a lot. Becasue WE had a GREAT experience, In every aspect. Every problem that we came accross, and there will be problems, was handled prefsionally and there were no hidden fees. We have reccomended them to everyone we know.

My husband and I are VERY HAPPY with our Experience and would highly reccomend using there package deals. The Formal Wear Package with the Gown and Bridesmaids combined with the Dj and Hall saved us Thousands compared to other venues and services. Plus, the convenience of using the space for our Ceremony with the atmosphere worked out great for us and our photographer loved it too. No traveling back and forth from church to hall.

(TIP) Remember to be organized yourself and communicate with the staff and keep your bridal party informed. Work with the same employee instead of jumping around to different employees, and call ahead to at least notify them you are coming to avoid busy times. This really helped me in the planning process and I believe this is what other brides could learn from my experience.

I also feel that a strong point was the fact that Formal Affairs tuxedo side had everything in stock so they were able to fix problems and make things exactly the way i wanted right there. Even though it was the day before and one occurance with the best man the day of my wedding. I couldnt find anywhere else that offered that service and at no additional cost was definitely a BIG BONUS!! Bravo!!!

Dont use a chain store because they dont have the ability to do this, just ask them if they can fix a problem the day of the wedding abd you'll find out. At a chain store you never know if the same employee will be the one your working with through out your process. My sister had that problem and I learned a lot from being in her wedding.

We used Formal Affairs for our Tuxes for the wedding. We were not happy with the service provided - the day of the wedding some of the vests and tuxes were not in, and we had ordered them months ahead of time. We had a Friday wedding and I suspect they forgot and had planned on a Saturday wedding. I would not use them again - some of my groomsman had different jackets than others - and there was no reason for this as they were all normal sizes and styles.

We rented the tuxes for all of the men our wedding from Formal Affairs. Our first visit there was decent. They were pretty busy so it took them a while to get to us but I could understand that because of the number of client to employee ratio that day. We found what we wanted and were happy with it. We were told about the different deals we could get and put down the first payment. When we went back for measurements we were asked to pay the next payment which did not match what we had been originally quoted. We ended up talking them down a bit but still spending $10 more than they quoted us. We sent all the guys in to get measured, picked up the tuxes at the time they were available and then had my father-in-law return them the day after the wedding. On the second day of our honeymoon I got a cell phone message saying that we were missing a pair of shoes and if they were not returned in, I think it was 7 days, we would be charged. I called my father-in-law and he assured me everything had been returned. I called Formal Affairs and they told me they sometimes have problems checking things in and they might have just been overlooked. I called again after the honeymoon and they conveniently had no record of calling me or of the shoes even being missing. All this is to say our experience there was not the greatest and I would recommend that you look a little further even though their prices are good.
