Fortunoff was great for bridal party gifts - they had engraveable silver plated jewelry boxes and glass perfume bottle sets for relatively cheap. The registry process wasn't great - I didn't receive any help whatsoever but I did manage to find what I wanted. They had a great selection of china, crystal and silver. They also had the luggage I wanted. I would definitely recommend Fortunoff for any bride, and I chose them over Macy;s for their higher class of quality and selection.

We got our wedding bands from Fortunoff. They had to special order mine and it took about 2 weeks. Luckily they came in time for our destination wedding.

We initially chose Fortunoff for our wedding gift registry because of its supposed great reputation and the perk of free gift wrapping for our guests. However, we ended up having many problems utilizing their services. When we first registered, we noticed they were having a sale on our wine glasses (i.e. flukes) so we decided to buy the ones on sale and leave the rest of the same brand and style (goblets, white wine glasses, etc.) on the registry for our guests to buy. A few months later we were shocked to see that the remainder of our wine glasses were now listed as clearance items. We called the store right away and found out that our style of glasses were now out of stock......no warning. So here we were with only part of set of wine glasses of the same style and the rest are "discontinued". Fortunately, after much aggravation and finally talking to a manager, they did reimburse us for the glasses that we bought, however, it was added stress that we shouldn't have had to deal with. In addition, we found out that at least half the items that we registered for (with a scanner IN the store) went from in stock to special order. So now many of our gifts weren't able to be delivered in time for the bridal shower and others not before the wedding. Three to four months before the wedding, we ended up having to totally revamp our registry online since our schedules didn't allow us to get back to the store. At that point we decided to take all the special order items off the registry and change them over to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Finally, if you do decide to go with Fortunoff, although we strongly discourage it, be aware of the small print in the Dreamcard rewards program. The large print boasts that you get 5% rebate for every dollar that your guests spend. Not entirely true. It goes in increments of 500 points. You get $25 for every 500 points (or dollars) your guests spend. So if your guests spend $900 then you only get $25. You would only get $50 if your guest spend over $1000 (2 increments of 500 points). Also, you don't even receive your rebate credit certificate until 4 months after your wedding. They claim that the bank mails it out and there is no way to have it mailed out sooner. Your 10% completion certificate is mailed to you 3 months after the wedding, again with no option to receive it sooner (believe me, I tried!). Their reason for the delay is to allow you time to make your returns. Didn't make much sense to me. I received BB&B's 10% coupon one month after the wedding. I did my returns and used the coupon all in one visit.

Excellent. Accepted credit cards from overseas, when others wouldn't. The store had more than enough gifts to choose from and the process of registering was fast and easy. Returning stuff was not as simple but staff was very helpful. Highly recommended especially for couples who have a lot of guests from different parts of the world.
