Beautiful large garden located right in the heart of historic Ybor City. If you are looking for a beautiful space to have an outdoor wedding (ceremony and/or reception), this is the place!! The staff has been professional and friendly throughout the process. The garden is so pretty that there is very little need for additional decorations. It has a large fountain in the middle of the garden that is beyond gorgeous. There is also a wooden gazebo in the garden which is perfect for your musician. I'm so happy I chose this venue for my ceremony!

Beautiful large garden located right in the heart of historic Ybor City. If you are looking for a beautiful space to have an outdoor wedding (ceremony and/or reception), this is the place!! The Garden was perfect for our ~170 person wedding -- beautiful and simple. Plenty of space for dinner under the tent and dancing by the stage. We booked houses nearby for the wedding party, and had the rehearsal dinner at the Columbia, so everything was walkable!

I have to say that one of my favorite decisions was our venue. The historic charm and beautiful grounds were the most amazing setting and it was everything I had imagined. Gina was great to work with and the park ranger was very helpful the night of. It was a romantic venue with gorgeous natural lighting and SO MANY beautiful locations for photos.

This space worked so perfectly for our evening outdoor reception. Paired with lighting from other vendors, the vibe of the venue was relaxed, romantic and magical. As mentioned in other reviews, the space is sectioned into 3 parts. We thought it would be a challenge to make sure all sections were united, but it wasn't an issue. We had about 200 guests, so there was guest seating in all 3 sections. Our dance floor was in the middle section, away from the street. Our guests often told us that they never felt too far away from any of the action nor did they feel cramped.

That being said, working with this venue can be a bit difficult due to the lack of communication between the office (sales & admin side) and the park rangers (security/point of contact/person who is actually there at your event), as mentioned in other reviews here. Don't get me wrong; we found everyone so lovely to work with. They just weren't all on the same page at times. Mainly, the rangers will promise things and get you all excited, but it may not be stated so in the contract. So be proactive. Be SURE to read everything in the contract and clarify everything before signing, especially regarding who is responsible for set up and break down. I would recommend setting up a quick meeting among you, Regina (coordinator in the office) and your ranger that you will have at your event. They are all kind and flexible.

From my research, this venue has been gradually increasing it's price (probably because they've learned it's such a deal compared to most venues!), so book it now if you're considering it! When we booked in the fall of 2012, the price was $2K. A few months before that, I read a review stating it was $1K, and a few months before that - $500! Bottom line, a deal!

I absolutely loved my venue! and so did my guests. I had more an more compliments about how this was the perfect wedding venue.

The garden is laid out into 3 different sections and we used all 3 of them. We had the dancing closest to the stage, cocktail hour and the bar in the middle fountain area and finally the tent was placed in the secton closest to the museum where we had tables set up for dining.

The value is incredible and I love the fact that it is a blank slate and you can bring anything in. It truly makes for a memorable event.

This venue is gorgeous! I recently held my wedding ceremony and reception here. I had about 125 guests and still had plenty of space. It is a great bargain, but it does not come with tables or chairs. You still have to pay extra to rent theirs or find your own venue (which is what I did). I also rented a tent because there is no covering over the area. On my wedding day it was pretty windy, so the tent kept the guests from getting leaves in their food.
The venue is somewhat limited time wise because they do not allow events to start until 5:00 pm. Book in advance! No Saturdays were available even though it was about a year before my wedding day.
The park rangers are super helpful and accommodating. They answered all my questions and helped me with anything I needed.
I marked of half a star because since it is a public park, you have to collect your own trash and dispose of it. They no longer have dumpsters that you can use, but I was able to know about it ahead of time so I could prepare.
Overall, this is a lovely venue that is a good price, but you have to plan ahead and prepare for the rules and restrictions they have, since it is a public park.

Ybor City Garden Museum is a unique and beautiful venue. It is a complete DIY venue that provides flexibility in bringing in your own vendors. It is a hidden gem in historical Ybor City. The garden has a kitchen and chair and table rentals available. The staff is very helpful and friendly, but there are strict policies regarding the setup and break down, since the location is historic. It is all manageable though. The thing i liked most about this venue was the ability to create my ideal wedding from scratch. We brought everything in and loved the organic and natural feeling of the place. I feel like a lot of weddings at particular venues all look the same and the best thing about this place is every wedding i have looked up has looked different. The other nice thing is being able to bring in your own vendors. We hired a rental company, caterer and DJ, but were able to save money by purchasing our own alcohol and bartenders. You can really set your own budget here and manage it without all the extra fees.

The garden is absolutely beautiful! We had our wedding here and had an amazing time! My only complaint would be dealing with the staff. It can be difficult to get responses in a timely manner. There is a high turnover of coordinators and you can tell details and information get lost. I was told to provide my own garbage bags and garbage could be disposed of in specific trash containers on the garden’s property. The day of my wedding Regina Ervin told my coordinator we could not dispose of the garbage there. We ended up having to bag all the garbage and put it on a U-haul until my husband and I could take it to the dump to dispose of. After my honeymoon I called the garden to confirm that was indeed the process. Regina thought it was the process however the Ranger confirmed that garbage could be disposed of there. So on my wedding night I had to figure out how to get rid of nasty garbage because of Regina’s incorrect information. This seems to be a pattern and it seems as if the garden coordinators can’t communicate or coordinate things with the Rangers for things to work smoothly. This error was clearly Regina’s fault and did very little to rectify the problem. I had to demand that she just do the right thing as I felt I should be compensated in some way for having to dispose of the garbage when that should have been included in the rental fee. When I asked about my deposit being returned, Regina couldn’t even find anything to show that I had paid the deposit in 2011. I had to dig through my records and provide copies of the money order since the garden did not have this information on file. As per my contract, it states deposits will be returned within 2-3 weeks after the event. When I asked Regina about this she told me 4-6 weeks is their policy. That may be the new policy but my contract was never amended to note this change and my contract is the one that is in place that states 2-3 weeks. She wanted to argue with me over this and give me the run around…as of no
