About GENERATIONS cinemastories
Every Film is a New Story. We keep our productions Intimate. Intelligent. Real.
Jack and Naomi (partners in life as well as in business) created GENERATIONS cinemastories with an eye and ear focused on making wedding, mtizvah and special event films that would grow in value with the passage of time.

Filming with multiple, hd/dslr cameras (no lights ever on top of cameras!) GENERATIONS makes wedding and event films about people, feelings and reflections. GENERATIONS believes that your wedding is NOT a Hollywood set - and works hard to make sure that the crew and equipment are never in the way.

"We want to make an event film in the style of the client and the event. For some that will mean modern, for others, retro. Some projects will be heavy on the music, others stronger in dialogue". Their work is not about the latest camera or the newest tripod. While they use small, professional cams and mics, for discreet yet full capture, the team focuses on the people and the stories they tell rather than on fancy camera work.

During a wedding or event, the film team is ever-present, but rarely seen. That strategy has won the studio the well-deserved reputation of being truly unobtrusive while capturing emotionally compelling moments that often go by unseen during the actual wedding or event.

Awarded Best of Boston by Boston Magazine in 2008 (the first wedding videographers to have had that honor!), board member of the National Association of Catering and Events, the studio has made a name for itself offering the best in unpretentious, emotionally sensitive wedding, mitzvah and event documentation. In 2011 and 2012 GENERATIONS cinemastories was a finalst on Boston's A-list, and the sole videographers to be awarded the Editor's Choice from Brides Boston Magazine. in 2011, GENERATIONS cinemastories was featured in the premiere issue of Southern New England Destination Weddings as well as Southern New England Magazine.

In 2012, the studio was featured in Southern New England Weddings and appeared on blogposts and facebook for The Catered Affair at Boston Public Library, The Mandarin Oriental in Boston and others. The studio debuted its first video-wallpaper project creating a moving wall display to coordinate with the event's decor. GENERATIONS also streamed several weddings live so that guests unable to attend in person were able to watch the ceremony as it happened.

Specializing in honoring tradition while beng creative innovators, founders Jack Brotman and Naomi Raiselle are artists who continue to experiment with film narrative as well as montage and the broader medium of moving image and sound.

An in-person meeting will allow prospective clients to understand what makes this studio so special.
