Let me first say that Amy is a very nice woman and was always friendly, but was so unhelpful and unresponsive that I regretted renting the ballroom almost immediately.
After booking 18 months in advance Amy mailed us a copy of our contract, but had our wedding date down wrong. Then our contract said that we could provide optional event insurance, but then Amy decided that we did need it. I had to fork out an additional several hundred dollars and buy insurance or else find a new venue and lose our deposit money.
In August I got an email from Amy stating that we owed her additional money to cover the rental cost of chairs. I immediately emailed her back and stated the rental agreement included 190 folding chairs and 15 tables of varying sizes. She told me she had updated her contract and no longer provided chairs. She agreed to cover the rental cost for 100 chairs and I had to pay for the rest. Then she reminded me that she had "allowed" me to rent my own linens so that was already one exception, to which I replied that nowhere in the contract did it say I had to rent my linens through her. After the whole chair fiasco I emailed her to make sure she still had all the tables.
The day before the wedding we began to set up the tables and chairs I realized that what she had told me were 8 ft tables were mostly 6 ft tables, so I had rented the wrong sized table cloths, and more importantly I could fit as many people at each table. Thank God I rented extra table cloths, so I was able to rearrange my seating chart to accommodate all the guests!
On the actual day of the wedding the one really odd thing though was that Amy was drinking and later dancing with a male guest. I found it very unprofessional. Overall my experience with this vendor was less than pleasant to say the least and I would not recommend this vendor to anyone.
