I was so thrilled when I booked this reception venue and couldn't wait to have my reception there. The banquet manager was somewhat disorganized and at times was not helpful. When this important contact is also a wedding planner, I would expect they understand how hectic things become right before the wedding. She also told us several times that her wedding planning services were free since we booked the hall. We were first told this as part of the speech to get us to book the hall and we were thrilled that since we were going to do everything ourselves, we would have someone to ask questions when we got stuck. I didn't expect by any means full blown services but I expected answers to be fairly prompt to questions that we had. Unfortunately, responses to questions were slow and often we had already gone to someone else or just figured out something else by the time we heard back. In addition, a few things we asked for before the wedding day did not happen as requested. We also ended up with many missing items that were not in the "hiding spot" where our extra stuff was going to be held.

What displeased me most was the night of the reception. When we arrived we saw things we asked for missing. Some of the food was cold. There were several plates not served due to guests not being in attendance and we wanted to give those to our wedding party and special guests however the facility wouldn't allow it. The served one layer of the cake at a time rather than offering up the different flavors to all of the tables so guests could select what they liked. The prices were decent for the individual plates but beverage and appetizers prices were way too high for what you go. Even more annoying and frustrating to the groom's parents who paid for beverages was that we got an obnoxiously high soda charge and there was no way we went through as much soda as they claimed. The person who said she was the owner (not sure if she was so I'm don't want to quote the owner) even went so far as to claim that one kid himself went through 100 cups which no one believed!!! We were given an estimate that with 10 kids and a total of 260 guests we might use 200 cups of soda. The majority of our guests were drinking paid for beverages from the bar, not soda. In addition, a complaint from several of our guests was that they ended up paying for beer even though we had free beer because they had to go to the main bar to be serviced. My matron of honor purchased 2 bottles of wine for the head table to do a toast and was charged for 4. The owner (again, not sure if it was the owner but we were told it was) refused to rectify the situation even with the server who took the order stating only two were requested. It took much arguing by guests to get this rectified. The banquet manager had already left for the night as well and we couldn't get in contact with her to get assistance. I myself would not use this facility again for a large event and wouldn't go back to them for their normal dining services. Many of my guests were also displeased with the service.
