After visiting more venues that I could think of, I fell in love with Grove Isle. It's a spectacularly beautiful hidden gem in Coconut Grove, and as far as location goes it really can't be beat.

We couldn't be more grateful to the staff, and the wedding coordinator Jeannette in particular, for their attentiveness and service. They were incredible! The food was also divine - everything we expected and more.

It was an amazing experience, and both my fiancee and I are incredibly grateful to Grove Isle for their wonderful service and our dream wedding.

The only concern I'd like to warn about is their reservation system. We had a room block reserved and we had a LOT of misunderstandings as far as our guests and our own room. Even after I triple checked the list, we still had some errors in reservations, people got the wrong rooms, and a handful of people were also overcharged. They were able to correct the issues and reimburse everyone, but it was not the most organized system. I would suggest talking directly to the manager or going through the wedding department to get your rooms organized.

I loved having my wedding at Grove Isle and Jannette and Zawra were so great to work with! You really cannot beat the views since it's right on Biscayne Bay - and we were lucky enough to have great weather so both the ceremony and cocktail hour were outside. Even the ballroom has large windows looking out onto the bay, which most wedding venues are hotel ballrooms with no windows that could be anywhere. Also, since most of of our guests were from out of town, it was great that the majority were able to stay at the hotel and I felt like we really had the whole place for the weekend. My only complaint: booking a hotel here was impossible. Everyone was so nice but there were so many different things I kept hearing about how many rooms were booked/available that it was a little frustrating (and then the computer system was down the whole weekend but whatever...it didn't put a damper on our wedding)

The Grove Isle is not only a beautiful venue (if you visit it, it should speak for itself,) but their catering director 'Jannette Alix' was absolutely fantastic. We went in to our wedding without a planner, and thank god we had Jannette; she was fantastic in coordinating the entire event from the up lights, to the cocktails, to dinner, and everything else. Highly recommend their services

I had such a terrible experience planning my wedding with Grove Isle. The staff was changed half way through and they are horrendously unprofessional and incompetent. Booking rooms for our guests was a disaster. Getting any questions answered took weeks. The only reason our wedding went smoothly is because I had a full time planner. The food and wait staff were very good, only positives.

In Looking for a venue, my husband and I had a lot of asks and as soon as we saw Grove Isle and got a tour we knew we had found everything we were looking for. Being from California and families from New England, NY and New Orleans this was entirely a destination location so we wanted to feel as if we were on a vacation. We wanted a place right on the water but we didn’t want to be on a beach and deal with the sand and the issues with the beach being so public for the ceremony. We wanted an indoor reception due to the heat in FL at the time we were getting married but didn’t want to be in a stuffy ballroom with no windows etc. We also wanted an affordable hotel so that ALL of our guests would feel comfortable staying there. It ended up being perfect because of the limited number of rooms at the hotel and all of our guests coming in we really felt like we rented out an entire hotel. We got all of the above and more with Grove Isle!

Christian and team were wonderfully helpful, flexible and professional and answered our million questions before we booked and after we locked in the venue. Kayla must have answered a question a day for us in the last month before the wedding and always did her best to respond asap and accommodate whatever our request was. In addition the food/dinner was amazing - not your typical "wedding food".

The only single complaint I even had at all about the ENTIRE weekend/wedding was that the Hotel itself does not allow the guests into their rooms AT ALL before the check in time. So, every single guest that arrived before check-in had to wait – no matter what time twhat time they arrived, even we had to wait from 8am to 4pm to get into our Bridal Suite.

Overall, the wedding weekend turned out absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for anything more on our wedding day! We would definitely recommend this Venue to anyone looking for an all in one amazing package for their wedding day.

We had our wedding at the Grove Isle Hotel & Spa (initially when I first joined wedding wire I was going to have it at Palms Hotel in Miami but decided not to based upon my meeting with a catering manager named Monica) I chose Grove Isle for its scenic views (every room has a view of water), it is a lovely backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Christian is the catering manager and his professionalism and personality sealed the deal. The venue is pricey. I had 40 people and 5 children and had to reach their minimum of 8500 food and beverage. This became a bit challenging but with more guests it would be easy to do. Tax and service is separate also. If you choose the brunch the following day, when all is said and done with tax service, the ceremony fee etc...it can get pricey. I do have to say that I think what we spent on our wedding at Grove Isle was well worth it. The food is top notch. You are not having that standard "wedding food" that your guests usually pick at. Everything was tasty, well prepared, and well presented. Kudos to the chef and culinary team at Grove Isle. The brunch the following day was all the same if not even better! One of the reasons we chose Grove Isle is that it is pet friendly. I have a small yorkie- a well trained beautiful dog. He was welcome in most areas of the hotel. I was a bit disappointed that he could not swim in the pool, but I suppose I understand. They did allow a group of children, about 25 or so come to use the pool for about 2-3 hours in during prime pool time. It is a local tennis club and I believe Grove Ilse has an arrangement with them. This was a very bad idea. The children although adorable are loud and disruptive and this is a policy that they made that should be ceased right away. All the guests at the pool were very bothered. It is not worth the money Grove Isle may get from the tennis club to allow them to come. It will hurt future business. My dog also had to be leashed everywhere we went, even though he is trained to stay by me, another bummer for a dog not used to that. The week I was there with our guests the air conditioning units were on the fritz. About half the hotel had no a/c. My room included. This made it very uncomfortable during our stay-especially while I was getting ready on the wedding day. I had make-up/photographer/hair in my room. It was hot and uncomfortable. I was unable to switch rooms due to a completely booked hotel. We had our wedding on a Friday and there was another the next day. Being a 50 room boutique hotel, I am pretty certain myself and the other bride had the entire hotel booked. Side note-you will never share your day with another bride. They only do one per day-which is great! All attention/service on you for "your day"...Many of our guests had no a/c as well. It was embarrassing for me. I book this 5 star hotel and no a/c at end of June! Oy...BUT the hotel manager Catherine did the right thing and had our stay free of charge along with any of my guests that had no a/c as well. This is very important. I learned that as soon as we left it broke down completely and this is a half a million job to fix. The amount of complaints received from guests as well as the major loss of money (from all the accommodating free stays) must have been incredibly strenuous. I was very very pleased to see that a good business decision was made and I was very impressed. As the bride and groom we were even invited back for a free stay for as long as we wish along with dinner on them one night. Now that is service. There were a couple bumps in the road during our stay both with us and our guests but I am not going to mention them because the end result is we walked away satisfied and left feeling like we chose an exceptional place for our wedding. I would not dream of changing our venue. Any bride and groom deciding to book Grove Isle for their wedding will be exceptionally pleased. I am someone that puts a great deal of value on service/presentation/accommodation. I expect people to do their job and do it exceptional. If you have those expectations choose Grove Isle and you will not be disappointed

Grove Isle was on top of it (with the help of my amazing coordinator Vivian Colls). The food was delicious and it came out hot (major plus).

They went above and beyond on making sure everything went smoothly. Christian was so patient and always had a smile on his face and truly tries to help the bride and groom where ever he can.

Amazing venue with an amazing team helping out!

We had our wedding at The Grove Isle and it exceeded our expectations. We worked with Christian and from the first time we visited the hotel, he knew exactly what our vision was and he just seemed to "get it." He was so professional and nice and we felt like we were dealing with a friend throughout the process. I planned our wedding from NYC and it was never a problem. Christian always got back to me by phone or email immediately. The views of the water from the ceremony and the cocktail hour were breathtaking. It was such a beautiful setting. We had a lot of guests from out of town and they loved their rooms. The food was so good people are still talking about it 6 months later! All of the other staff were also very nice and the day went off without a hitch. The waitstaff even put aside some food for us back in our room since we barely ate that night. That was such a nice touch. If you're thinking about having your wedding here, book it. You won't regret it.
