We just were married at the Haiku Mill this July and everything was perfect! Lindsay and Sylvia went above and beyond to make sure all I we to do was enjoy my wedding. This is the most beautiful location I have ever seen. It is somehow even better than the pictures. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a venue that will wow your guests.

Our wedding was an absolute dream at Haiku Mill. Everything ran perfectly smooth and all the staff was nothing but helpful. Lindsay, our coordinator, was amazing and made sure everything was perfect for our wedding. If you are looking for a fairy tale venue, it doesn't get any better or more beautiful than Haiku Mill.

I am so glad I had my wedding at Haiku Mill. The place is one in a million - I guarantee your guests will be blown away. It is a serious operation there, and you can tell that a lot of effort goes into maintaining it and continuously making it more beautiful.

All the staff were absolutely lovely to deal with. They are very quick to respond to emails and really seem to try their hardest to please. On the day, they were excellent, especially as there was a hiccup with my lounge furniture rental company (Opihi Love). They were late in showing up - about a minute before the guests! Haiku Mill had already sub-ed in furniture of their own just in case and had a team of people ready to off load the furniture from Opihi Love's truck when they finally showed up, so that in the end they got everything in place in the nick of time. I wasn't even actually aware this was going on since I was in the cottage - they just handled it seamlessly.

I should mention that I had never seen Haiku Mill before I booked it, and because I had such a specific vision in mind, I had a million and one basic questions about the place and the layout of the entire grounds. All my questions were answered in due course, and through a million and one emails, but it did occur to me that Haiku Mill might make it easier on their coordinators if they sent out something of a welcome pack that included FAQs which they must certainly get all the time. I like structure, so a bit of plan when it comes to timing and decision making would have been useful, as well as a complete list of all vendor options up front, and a map of the grounds so that you can visualize where the mango tree, cane cottage and courtyard area, driveway etc are.

Overall - so so happy I chose Haiku Mill. You can really trust the wonderful ladies who work there to make everything beautiful for you.

We had the wedding of our dreams last month at Haiku Mill. We started planning 14 months prior and can honestly say that not once did I feel stressed or worried about how things were planning out. Everything was perfect and it was a dream come true. Haiku Mill is by far the most magical place I've ever been to and I still have to pinch myself that I was lucky enough to have my wedding here. Stephanie, our coordinator, was amazing, and Silvia, the owner, is just lovely and so helpful and truly passionate about what she does. You can really tell that the people who work here love what they do- and they are fantastic at it!

We had 41 guests at our wedding and it was just perfect!! The only thing that I have to say that is an absolute MUST, is the big clear roof tent. You have a choice between a white tent with 4 legs, or a massive tent (clear plastic roof actually) that encloses the entire top of the mill incase of rain. The little tent is a few thousand cheaper, but it would have been my biggest regret if we were to choose that one. I can't express enough how happy I am that we made the last minute switch to the big clear top tent. It made the mill look so grand and truly amazing. We were able to see the stars at night and it was the most picturesque screen I could have ever imagined. Absolutely choose the big tent if you are having a wedding here.

Also, the vendors that we chose were fabulous! For our alcohol and drinks, we had Garnish Events- they were awesome! So many staff, delicious signature drinks that we chose before the wedding and could customize the names of, and I never saw anyone without a beautiful drink in hand. They added orchids to every drink and beautiful fruit and garnishes. Maui Executive Catering did our food. Everyone loved our meal choices and we still are receiving compliments about the dinner. Liz Havalosa (and her assistant) did mine and my three bridesmaid's hair and makeup. She was just lovely and did such a great job. Never have I f

There is nothing we would change about our experience at The Haiku Mill, from love at first site of the venue to the impeccable service, we couldn't have asked for more. The owner, Sylvia, made us feel like much more like family than prospective clients, she is incredible.

We decided on a formal, black-tie wedding in June and the weather was perfect. The preferred vendors list the Haiku Mill requires you to use is a life saver. It was explained early on that these were the vendors they know and trust, which put our minds at ease. Our dream-team was as follows:

*Design by Robyn I'aea
*Anna Kim Photography
*Floral Inspirations
*CineMaui Studio Videography
*Miss B Calligraphy
*Ceci New York Invitations
*Maui Executive Catering
*Garnish Events Cocktail Catering
*Dan Sanchez Salon
*Jessica Waite Makeup Artistry
*Ghost Chairs by Island Rents
*Rentals by Island Rents, Maui Rents and Pacific Isle Rentals
*Entertainment by Ace Beats
*Cake by Hawaiian Cakesations
*Reverend Keli'i Brown

I could not have dreamed up a more perfect setting to get ready for the most important day of my life than the "Cane House", the Haiku Mill's Bridal Suite. My bridesmaids, Mom, Mother-in-law and myself settled in mid-morning; we laughed, cried tears of joy, toasted with glasses of champagne while enjoying delicious snacks and created some of the most memorable moments of the day. Sylvia and her team made us feel incredibly comfortable.

My groom and his groomsmen arrived about an hour before the ceremony to take photos. They were dressed in tuxedos and were completely comfortable temperature-wise hanging out beneath the massive mango trees.

The timing of our day was coordinated to perfection, at no point did we feel rushed. We greeted the guests after the ceremony, had time after photos to enjoy the last 15 minutes of cocktail hour and even walked around to spend time with every guest during our 5-course meal. Not to mention we enjoyed each course of our meal when it was served at our own table before dancing the night away.

There will never be words to properly describe how thankful we are for everyone involved in making our day beyond perfection.

It was a wonderful and accommodating A+ experience from start to finish. Let me start with a little bit of a background about my now husband and myself. We are both Type A personalities with extremely high expectations of ourselves, and we have equally as high expectations of others. We are also very particular in what we want (we were not interested in the cookie cutter wedding that was the only option at a number of the hotels) and are very much focused on attention to detail.

Haiku Mill exceeded our expectations from our very first phone conversation with Sylvia the owner in regards to booking the venue, to saying our final good-byes to Stephanie our wedding coordinator at the end of the night after our wedding. The Haiku Mill was extremely professional from start to finish, and made planning our wedding from Canada completely hassel free. On the day of the wedding itself, Stephanie and her team had us at ease the entire time and really made the day that much more memorable and enjoyable.

In our opinion, the Haiku Mill is without question the most beautiful wedding venue on all of Maui, and even though neither of us have yet to venture to all of the Hawaian islands, we wouldnt be surprised if it was the most beautiful throughout as well. Every single one of our guests were in complete awe with the beauty of the place. The owner Sylvia has painstaking recreated the Mill over the last number of years, utilizing many antiques from throughout Europe in the decor. Not a single detail has been overlooked or missed. It truly is an old world delight in the middle of paradise. Sylvia has impeccable taste and style which is showcased throughout the property. After considering a European destination wedding we found it difficult to find anything that rivalled the beauty and atmosphere of the Mill. All the vendors that were recommended truly share the vision of the Mill and were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Special Thanks to:

Anna Kim Photography - The pictures are beyond words you captured the wedding beautifully and were excellent with our guests, thank you.

Maui Executive Catering - Jeff and his team dazzled the palates of our guests all evening, incredible food!

Teresa Sena Designs- Nailed the aesthetic we were looking for, beautiful work only added to the ambience and natural beauty.

Garnish Events - Wow! Who knew that signature drinks could be this delicious and inventive, wonderful service throughout the dinner.

Thank you again to everyone that made our day so special.

Haiku Mill is truly magical & breathtaking venue. Tucked up in the hills of Haiku, this venue wonderfully intertwines beautiful decor with the natural, lush beauty of Maui. The elegance & intimacy of this venue creates an utterly romantic atmosphere, unlike any other.

All the planning with the help of our coordinator prior to the wedding allowed us to show up & relax the entire time. Our goal for our wedding day was to make sure we could enjoy it, making sure it didn't feel like we were "working" the whole night. Sylvia & her staff, along with all of the amazing vendors we worked, with made this possible - we enjoyed every moment of our special day.

Our wedding did occur during a transitional time for Haiku Mill. The head wedding coordinator decided it was time to peruse another career. Even with this change occurring our wedding went off without a hitch. Sylvia (the owner) made sure nothing skipped a beat for our special day. Sylvia has a genuine love & passion for what she does, which clearly shows in the tremendous thought she has put into every detail of this stunning venue, as well as the business she's created, which she continually strives to make the best.

All of our guests had an unbelievable time at our wedding; refreshments upon arrival, cocktails under the mango tree following the ceremony, dinner under a large clear-top tent, & dancing under the stars. Our wedding was as much a memorable & unique experience for them as it was for us. We talk often with family & friends about this day & are constantly reminded of how special it was - for everyone that attended.

My husband & I are so happy we decided to have our ceremony & reception at Haiku Mill - it is a venue that helped exemplify the sacredness & romance of this special day. If you want to have your wedding &/or reception at a venue that will be gorgeous, unique, romantic, & surrounded by natural beauty then Haiku Mill is definitely the place.

I'd like to start off by saying: If you're looking to have a magical wedding where your guests will be amazed and repeatedly remind you that "this is the best/most beautiful wedding I've ever been to!" have your wedding at the Haiku mill.

HOWEVER: Please keep in mind:

-The grounds are beyond belief. They do a wonderful job maintaining the site. They do a horrible job on the business side of things.

-No matter how many times/how far in advance you ask for the final invoice to check numbers, you will not get one until the day of the wedding. Let it be known my mom (mother of the bride) was handed 4 invoices AT the wedding. None of them were correct.

-Saying the final invoices were not correct is putting it mildly. Not only were the numbers all off, they didn't even have my name right. Which is sad and totally disrespectful, considering they had already collected about half of the total amount (over $15,000) from me by check. Hello, my name is on the check.

-Since it's Maui, things are a bit more laid back. I get it. And can appreciate it. However, it's no excuse to be unprofessional. Especially when large amounts of money are involved.

-They will try to charge you a "20% coordination fee" for all vendors booked. Even if they had NOTHING to do with the planning/booking of those vendors.

-I can't even tell you how many calls/emails went unanswered. I planned the entire wedding myself. Which is fine. That's exactly what I wanted. The handful of emails I did get back were filled with questions which my previous emails had answered. Best of all, they then tried to charge me a "coordination fee" for all the vendors. Uhm...We'd all love to get paid not to work. But that's not the way life works.

-In my case, they offered/basically said I had to use their wedding coordinator. Hence, they can control the 20% extra charge because they know which vendors you are using and the costs associated. She mysteriously quit/was fired (I was told so many stories by so many different people I have no idea what the real one is) 2 weeks before my wedding. When we showed up for rehearsal, I was introduced to the "replacement". Let it also be noted she did a fine job, but you would think I would have been notified there was going to be a new coordinator before I showed up?

-Paying the final bill was the last nightmare. And I won't even begin to tell the story as it's really long and you're probably already bored by now. Just know that it included my mom in tears at some point and a new coordinator (I'd put money on the fact that she won't last more than a month), who I never met and knew nothing about the business shinanigans they run there, threatening to turn us into collections.

With all that being said:
Would I recommend this venue to you? Yes. With caution. Extreme caution.
Would I recommend this venue to my friends? Sadly, no. I have a gf getting married in Maui next year and I recommended the Olowalu Plantation House (our 2nd choice) instead. It's also beautiful beyond belief and they run a professional business.

One last thing:
My husband runs a successful business in Southern California. Thank you Haiku Mill for reminding us why we work so hard to keep things in order and treat all of our customers with professionalism and respect. I can guarantee none of our customers will ever write a review like this about us.

Sylvia, the owner and Allie, the on-site coordinator are wonderful people to work with. They are accommodating, helpful and have inside tips to keeping you within your budget. Allie's motto for our wedding day was for us, our family and our friends to sit back relax and have fun. She did a great job of organizing and taking care of the details that day. They truly share the Aloha spirit!

It's hard to believe, but the venue truly is exactly what you see in the pictures. It's a magical and romantic venue that draws you in! Sylvia has also done a fantastic job decorating the venue in a very classic French antique style. The venue is a photographers dream and you will walk away with gorgeous photos!

If you want the most beautiful place for you reception ths is the place! Amazing is just one of many words your guest will use when they arrive. The Haiku Sugar Mill is unlike any other venue you could have. It will give you that unique place that you are looking for in making your wedding special and Breath taking. We married on the beach in the morning and had our reception at the mill in the evening due to the driving distance from lahinana. We had shuttles take our 80 guest up to haiku where the mill is located and it was perfect. I can't tell you how much I still here from our guest "the setting was Amazing what a beatiful place you guys pick" I can't imagine having not used it. The owner sylvia showed up and introducede her self to us and it was a nice personal touch.. you will have no regrets using this place!

The moment I stepped foot on the grounds of the Haiku Mill, I knew I had to get married there. It's a magical place with such charm and beauty that is unmatched. I was really impressed with how welcoming, sweet and helpful the coordinators were to me and my fiance which helped alleviate the stress from planning a destination wedding.

Sylvia, the owner, gave us a grand tour of the place which we were just speechless about. She was incredibly kind and so easy to work with. I knew that she genuinely cared about our wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding planning went smoothly.

All of our 55 guests were AMAZED on our wedding day. It was the biggest and most beautiful celebration of our lives....we were so lucky to have had our special day in this GORGEOUS place!

I cannot recommend this place enough.

I got married at Haiku Mill in November, 2011. It was such a great experience, a dream come true! The entire planning process went really well, our planner Stephanie Shepherd is so professional and creative, all of her knowledge and experience really helped make our day go as smoothly as possible. We were looking to get married at a one of a kind location with an intimate, dreamy atmosphere and were so happy to have chosen Haiku Mill.
All the vendors (florists, caterers, bar, photographer) were above our expactations. We had about 10 minutes of rain, after the ceremony and it wasn't a concern because of all the tenting. Our family and friends were in awe as to how gorgeous everything was! It was perfect day in every way.
I would absolutely recommend getting married at Haiku Mill!
I was a happy Bride!

I'd like to credit my vendors who were amazing!

Caterer: Aloha Events
