About Haven's KitchenOpened in early 2012, Haven’s Kitchen is a recreational cooking school, specialty shop, and event space dedicated to the preparation and enjoyment of delicious, sustainable, seasonal food. Our 1878 carriage house retains its original wood flooring, exposed brick, and arched windows, while also combining environmentally conscious system, artisan architectural elements, and elegant flourishes.
Haven’s Kitchen is not your standard event venue; it is an experience. Our convivial, elegant fare is offered in a spirit of hospitality that extends beyond service. With warmth and attention to detail, we invite you to enjoy Haven’s Kitchen as if it were your own home. It is the perfect setting for an urban wedding - we suggest making use of our Third floor for your ceremony, followed by a reception on our first and second floors. Our spaces are also wonderful for Bachelor & Bachelorette private cooking and mixology classes, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and much more.
Our Chef, David Mawhinney, has cooked in some of the finest kitchens in New York, including Per Se, Lincoln, The Wren and Penrose. Chef David’s style is aligned with that of Haven’s Kitchen: fine dining with an emphasis on community and farm-fresh ingredients. Our goal is to provide our guests the opportu- nity to experience the joys of the table and share a delicious meal in an intimate, welcoming way.
