I had an overall very positive experience with the Hilton Bentley hotel. A lot of things went wrong, it was a rainy day and my mother was late and hour and a half which delayed the entire wedding. I was very upset but the hotel staff kept on finding ways to find solutions. They at some point even dealt with my vendors to extend time and extended their own reception time without charging anything extra. I was very pleased specially with the event manager Valerie.

I had an overall very positive experience with the Hilton Bentley hotel. A lot of things went wrong, it was a rainy day and my mother was late and hour and a half which delayed the entire wedding. I was very upset but the hotel staff kept on finding ways to find solutions. They at some point even dealt with my vendors to extend time and extended their own reception time without charging anything extra. I was very pleased specially with the event manager Valerie. Our wedding took place at the Hilton Bentley on September 2, 2012. We had a horrible experience with customer service. We originally signed our event contract with Elda Medina who we truly enjoyed working with. A couple months before our wedding, we were forced to work with Stephanie Souza as Elda left for maternity leave.

On our wedding day the following unacceptable issues occurred:
-Our reception room and ceremony were not set up on time over 2 hours late. Stephanie was not on site even 2 hours after the set up time. Florist and wedding planner was not able to set up the tables due to the tables not being set up.
-Guests arrived but were not able to sit at the ceremony site as the chairs were not set up. They were told to wait in the lobby. The lobby is very small and not ideal place for people to wait.
-Not enough chairs at reception. Guest were told to stand until everyone else sits.
-They did not start serving dinner till very late. Our guests were restless with more than 30 minutes of waiting after speeches were concluded.
-Bartenders conversed with other staff instead of serving guests promptly.
-The air conditioning either was not on or was not working properly. Both mothers and multiple guests complained to staff. Stephanie told Mother of Groom and an Aunt that they probably drank too much alcohol and that is why they are feeling hot.
-During Reception before dinner was served, Stephanie ridiculed us for being behind schedule as the speeches took longer than expected and tried to pressure bride and groom into extending the wedding for 1 hour and wanted to charge us $2000 extra and said we had only 10 minutes to decide.
We let management know the issues a couple days after the wedding. We did not receive an apology and waited more than 2 weeks for a response. We did not receive a response. We do not recommend the Hilton Bentley and are very disappointed in their customer service both at the wedding and after the wedding.

I will first like to say I recieved soooo much for my money, it was incredible.
I had an amazing white modern room, built in marble bar, immmaculate.
We had access to the pool area and cabanas during the reception along with the ceremony time.
The chivalry chairs and upgraded linen was also included in our package! What the hotels make you pay for extra! This is south beach people, did not expect that.
The Ceremony location is breathtaking. The chairs were very nice.
The cocktail location was beautiful, on the second floor, a fountain views of the ocean.
I recieved an amazing 1 bedroom suite..views of the ocean, private, huge balcony, spacious balcony
The things i was not too pleased with were the responsiveness. It was very hard to get a hold of someone a lot of the time, especially before the event which really stressed me out.
They tried to bring everything inside because of the chance of rain but it was beautiful outside, not a drop. The tried to make the call 5 hours before the event, and we fought tooth and nail to keep it outside, and finally we had the okay two hours before the event...was super relieved. Did not rain at all all day and night.
The steak was cooked a bit too raw, not medium, but still very delicious. Also, the salmon some said was not warm, or did not look very fresh, others said it was excellent.

The cocktail hour appetizers super delicious! The staff was also super attentive the whole time during the event

Overall I would pick the venue again for the asthtics, location, view, the food creativity, and value for the money! Excellent venue.
