My sister recently bought her bridesmaid dress from here for my wedding and was very happy with her service. Her consultant was very accommodating and helpful. She even offered to come in on her day off to meet for another appointment. While it is a bit pricier than other shops, she had great customer service.

My first visit I brought pictures with the item numbers from online so that I could try on a few that I already liked. The consultant seemed a bit rushed and later said that she was double booked so she had to help me and another bride at the same time. Near the end of the apt I asked if I had tried on one dress in particular, and she said that I had already. I left the apt wishing I had asked her to double check, because after reviewing the pictures that I took of the dresses I tried on, I hadn't. I called the store a few days later asking if they had that particular dress and they did, but only in a size 14. So I had made another apt to check out the dress, even though it was in a big size.
My second visit, I had Luba who very sweet and kind. She helped me find the dress that I was looking for and I loved it. I made a third apt so that my mom and sister could see this dress and Luba helped once again, and I said yes to the dress! I also chose a veil that I saw in my first visit. The dress was reasonably priced, and she had given me a discount on the veil that I wanted which was very nice. She had them put my wedding date a month in advance to make sure that I got it in time, although I wished that I had put it as earlier to be more at ease. I did call to see if they could change the date to earlier, but for some reason they said that once the order is placed, they can't change the date. That doesn't really make sense to me why they couldn't, but I'm going to call soon to check on the status of my dress to see if they can tell me an estimated date that it will be in.
My bridesmaids tried on dresses, but they only had 1 of every dress so it was complicated to know which dress came in which color(if another group was there, you had to wait for the one dress and swatches-waiting was a waste of time) prices were high, I had one bridesmaid who couldn't try on any bc all the sizes were way too small. It's been over two months and my heart is still pounding with anger as I write this! The dress arrived late and it was made poorly. A very kind saleswoman had subtly told me to give them a fake wedding date, and I'm glad she did. They still had over 6 months lead time. Less than two weeks from the wedding date, they told me there was a strike at the factory, they asked several times if I had a fake wedding date (which I'm glad I didn't admit to it), and then 10 minutes later called back and said it would be ready to pick up in two days' time. Those 10 minutes between phone calls were the worst experience, I was scrambling to get a backup dress! The dress finally arrived less than 10 days from the fake wedding date (that the told me to give to them). We had already paid several hundreds of dollars for alterations, but after reading reviews, I decided to go somewhere else: those seamstresses complained about the dress quality every chance they got. They had barely enough time to do what little alterations they were comfortable doing: they really needed to take the dress apart, but they didn't think the quality was good enough to redo it, no matter how much money I offered them. At least I had something formal to wear on my wedding day. It was so sad to have such a bad experience by a company that's ultimately run by, run for, and managed by women.

I bought my bridal gown here. The experience in the store was ok but I'm rather frustrated with the ordering department. I ordered my dress at least 7 months ago and whenever I call to check on the status I either get left in the voicemail with no call back or they refuse to actually check and tell me it will be here a month before my wedding. I understand its the holiday season now so after January 1st I will be calling again more forcefully to get info. Also the price in the store was different than what they had listed on their website. I had ordered my dress Saturday and when I called back by Monday they would not price match their own website. It was about a $200 difference

1) I ordered bridesmaids dresses from this store in JUNE 2014 and they did not come in for NINE MONTHS! I did not receive my dresses until MARCH 2015!!! My wedding was April 5, 2015. The store purposely pulls this ORDERING SCAM and orders the dresses as late as possible so they can SCAM YOU into getting your dresses altered at their store because who else will alter dresses on such a short time frame (and they also OVERCHARGE for alterations!)? When I went to pick up my dresses, there was another bride who's wedding was that weekend and TWO of her bridesmaid dresses had not even come in yet for her wedding THAT WEEKEND! The manager CHRIS does not care about her customers. SHAMEFUL.
2) I ordered my junior bridesmaid and flower girl dress in December 2014. I went into the store and asked approx how long it would take for the dresses to come in and was told it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. The flower girl dress did not come in until THE LAST WEEK IN MARCH JUST DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING! Luckily, I know a seamstress so I didn't fall for the SCAM that this store likes to pull (see above). The store also wrote the complete wrong wedding date on my junior bridesmaid dress. They then told me that they "spoke to the bride at a later time and the bride gave them permission to have the dress delivered after the wedding date." I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL and OBVIOUSLY WOULD NEVER APPROVE THIS. So I called the manager CHRIS and she never apologized f

Front desk service was excellent. Young lady was courteous, efficient, and amazing at multitasking. The attendant assigned to me was courteous but it was obvious that management's agenda was to upsell, not work with in the brides budget. As a more mature bride, I didn't feel as if I were as important as a younger bride customer. My needs for a simple classic dress didn't seem to be important. Alterations department did not call back when messages were left, nor were concerns pointed out on adjustments taken seriously.
Black Tie on the premises tuxedo rental were a marvelous group, courteous, professional, accommodating. Knew their stuff, didn't dismiss our concerns or needs. Excellent staff that knows and demonstrated customer service from beginning to ended. Love this group!

I absolutely loved my dress and my bridesmaids dresses that we got from House of Brides however the experience was not a great one. My wedding was in May and we ordered our dresses the June prior. I was told that everything would be in come February. After I kept calling and calling my dress finally arrived at the end of March, just in time for me to start alterations. My bridesmaids dresses, however, did not arrive until 2 weeks before my wedding making it very difficult to send the dresses to all of the girls, especially out of state girls, to get altered in time for the big day. My veil as well, did not arrive until a week and a half before the wedding. Needless to say, I was not happy. The manager of the store in Schaumburg was not very helpful and didn't seem too concerned with her customer's satisfaction. It took numerous phone calls and complaints to ever get an answer of where all of the dresses were and what they were going to do to ensure that they would be there on time. It was a lot of added stress on top of the wedding approaching in 2 weeks.

I was hesitant to purchase a gown here because of the negative reviews. I swore I would come in to try on (due to their wide selection) and then purchase from another shop. Well I fell in love with a house gown so I could only purchase from them. Typically their wedding gowns only come in a month before the wedding so the consultant changed my wedding date in the system so I could get it in four months before.
