The hallmark of iDj is our DJ’s ability to "ROCK A PARTY" as well as an equally matched ability to elegantly orchestrate an event with the touch and class reserved for events of presidential proportions. The duality of iDj is expressed through its PARTY ROCK & ELEGANCE Divisions. PARTY ROCK Division is assigned to the all-out, full-scale party while ELEGANCE Division is reserved for once in a lifetime, milestone events. In both cases the client is hiring a professional who is versed in their ability to perform in both divisions.

Do you have liability insurance?
Describe your DJ style:
We base our program on playing great music that inspires guest motivation & reaction. iDj avoids anything cheesy or gimmicky that could possibly undermine the elegance of your event. In other words, our DJ/MC's don't crack jokes, don't do the Hokey Pokey or Macarena or Chicken Dance or YMCA or any of the other byproducts of previous generations of cornball DJ's that have plagued the industry.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
What is your usual attire?
iDj personnel attire will be based on the formality of your event. Generally speaking, formal event attire is a suit & tie where informal events are club casual.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
99% of the time, we can get it. If the song is incredibly abstract or hard to find, the client usually provides it.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
It's actually a requirement.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes, Hispanic, Filipino & Korean events. 
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Your event is your own and we won't play anything that you don't want or is inappropriate. We suggest forming a playlist that will include the majority of your guests and affords the best opportunity for everyone to have fun. Also, be careful with absolute generalizations and exclusions of music. One thing that we've come to learn in 10+ years of deejaying events is that NOBODY CORRECTLY APPLIES GENRE'S TO ARTISTS! What you may think of as "Rap & Techno" may not be what you’re actually talking about. Did you know the song "I Got A Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas is a "Top 40" dance song from "Hip Hop" artists who "Rap" over an "Electro"(techno) beat?
Do you bring your own equipment?
All of our equipment exceeds DJ industry standards of performance. We use the same pro audio & lighting equipment that you're likely to find in the hottest clubs from Hollywood to Miami. All of our equipment is inspected & tested on a weekly basis with backup equipment on hand and contingency plans in place.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We provide: DJ, MC, basic/ intelligent/ ambient lighting, event consultation, projector packages, personalized gobos, video DJ's, karaoke, DJ lessons, personalized music mixes, equipment rental, photography & videography.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
iDj representatives arrive at least 1 hour prior to the event start time. Depending on amount of equipment needed, difficulty of setup, or other extenuating circumstances, we may arrive as early as 2 hours prior to your event. The client does not need to provide a table.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
I do have some but I require my wedding couple permission before displaying any form of advertisement.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Yes we provide emcee & dj services. We only talk between songs tied to events such as first dance, cake cutting, garter toss etc. When it's time for music, we shut up & play!
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Inquire with us, we don't want our competition knowing these industry secrets.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We do not require that food & beverage be provided for our representatives however we will gladly accept such offerings. A lesser known fact is that venues & caterers usually offer alternative meals for a nominal fee instead of having to purchase additional entree plates for vendors. 
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
iDj Entertainment Services manages a roster of 5 dj’s. In the unlikely event that your contracted DJ is unable to perform, another qualified iDj representative will be informed of the details of your event will be provided to perform in replacement, GUARANTEED! 
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
We do book multiple events on given day because we have multiple DJ's to dispatch.
What is your overtime rate?
Variable based on each event.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Travel is factored into your price but only if the travel exceeds the greater LA, OC, Inland Empire areas.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
All we need in order to lock your event date is for you to endorse our customer agreement and submit a security deposit. All documents can be scanned & emailed or done in person. Security deposits are generally 40% of the total service charge and can be submitted via paypal, cash, money order or check.

D.J. Closer provided ALL of this AND MUCH MORE….
I cannot tell you how PLEASED we were with the DJ service that we received from D.J. Closer from start to finish of our wedding ceremony and reception. To begin with, D.J. Closer provided all of the music for the wedding processional and recessional -beautifully done. Our guests were able to hear our ENTIRE ceremony clearly without any noise distractions (VERY IMPORTANT). Following our cocktail hour, our reception began with D.J. Closer MC(ng) our grand entrance which was very GRAND and entertaining needless to say. Immediately following dinner and the rest of the traditional wedding activities, D.J. Closer knew exactly what to do to get our guests out on the dance floor and KEEP our guests on the dance floor (which is crucial). How many times have you been to a wedding and it turns into a snoozzzz! Cannot say that about our wedding. Not even for a second. The music was PERFECT! There was NEVER a dull moment (literally)! I cannot tell you how many times guests during and even after our wedding complimented us on the music played at our wedding OR simply asking “Yo… who’s the DJ”? Out of pure excitement. D.J. Closer was the best, and I mean BEST investment that we could’ve made to have a fun, lively, energetic, exciting, memorable and impressionable wedding. WE can truly say, we had an absolute blast at our wedding and so many others would agree due to the 1st Class service that D.J. Closer provided. He’s phenomenal at what he does which speaks to the professionalism of IDJ Entertainment. Seriously, if you want your event to have a lasting impression of pure fun, hype entertaining, up-beat, shutting the venue down ‘feel’, D.J. We were referred to Marcos via one of his friends that was already booked for our date but we couldn't imagine a better DJ. We are a young couple and he is younger too -prob late 20s?- and is definitely in touch with what music is cool for dancing. We met with him twice and the second time we gave him a general playlist for dinner and dancing that he used as his base list and then filled in similar music. We also gave him a do not play list so that we would not have things such as the chicken dance- thank God! I don't think he really enjoys that kind of thing either so we were all on the same page . He also mc'd for us which was awesome to announce when we were cutting the cake and doing the garter toss, etc. There was a point in my wedding planning that I was actually considering not having a dj because I wasn't sure that a lot of my guests wanted to dance but I couldn't have been more wrong. I am sure the open bar helped but the music was great and had people dancing all night long. Including my older family members. Even people that usually hate dancing. He was also great about working with our venue. He was required to work off a lap top and use the hotel's speakers and other details but thankfully he called the hotel manager in advance and found out he needed extra equipment that he doesn't normally have to take with him. I am so grateful he made that call and I think it speaks to his professionalism. I would recommend him for any occasion that requires the services of a DJ!
