Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have photographed in virtually all lighting situations, including soft light, candlelight, overcast, bright and sunny, inside churches, and most anything you can think of. Each lighting situation requires a different approach and flexibility which is an important aspect of wedding photography.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I use only digital equipment for wedding photography. The digital medium has allowed me to decrease processing time, and allows more flexibility in the final images.
How many photographers do you work with?
I work as the primary photographer, although I employ a second shooter/assistant for difficult shots during the wedding ceremony.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I am the photographer, and will definitely be present at your wedding!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I do NOT book more than one wedding per day, and I usually try to avoid more than one wedding per weekend. This allows my attention to be on you an your special day, and not on the wedding I have to attend an hour later.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I do not have a replacement photographer in case of unavailability on the actual wedding day. Aside from a hospital stay or deathly illness, I will be there as planned!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring two sets of camera equipment, flashes, and multiple lenses.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
There is always a backup set of equipment in case my primary equipment fails so that no important images are missed.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My charges are based on hourly prices.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Overtime shooting is available and it is charged at the hourly rate of $125 which is the same as regular time.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do not usually take breaks unless I need to use the restroom or drink some water. I don't want to miss any opportunity for a story-telling photograph!
Do you charge for travel?
Depending on the location I do charge for travel. If the wedding is within the state of California, no charge for travel is applied.
