About Interfaith & Jewish Weddings by Rabbi Richard S. WinerAbout Rabbi Winer Richard S. Winer was born in Lynn, MA, grew up in Peabody, and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music. After college, he went into business with his father, Morris, and later started his own business as a Constable and a Justice of the Peace. As a Justice of the Peace, Richard has officiated hundreds of weddings of all different religions and customs, specializing in interfaith ceremonies. Through the years Richard has had many requests to act as a rabbi or as an officiant for weddings and many life cycle events. Richard now finds that he is able to better serve the community as an ordained rabbi. Richard’s belief is to support anyone who wishes to find their spiritual self and honors his/her quest in having a rabbi officiate their wedding or life cycle event.
Richard lives with his current wife, Lori, and together they have five children and three grandchildren.

I hope you are having a joyous Sukkot. I wanted to let you know that Vlad and I had a wonderful time meeting with you on Sunday and believe you will be the ideal person to perform our wedding ceremony. When we were with you, it really felt like we were in a relative or friend's home, and I feel confident that the three of us can work together over the coming months to put together a ceremony that is meaningful, special, and right for us.
I hope that you feel the same and will be able to do our wedding on July 13, 2013.
Have a wonderful evening, and talk to you soon.
Machelle and I wish to thank you once again for the terrific service that you provided us on the occasion of our wedding. I thought your words were extremely thoughtful and most appropriate for us.
We consider ourselves among the lucky having found each other. We are somewhat an unlikely pair, and and even more unlikely circumstances placed us together. We have also been through a great deal as a couple over the years. While we were not married we fought through some of the most difficult and trying times together. We are both so happy that we decided to ultimately marry. It has brought me utter joy. I am grateful to you for being available to us on such short notice, and your help through the brief process was very much appreciated.
You will be remembered by me as the Rabbi who was early, but because he enjoyed the surroundings so much did not pick up the phone to inform, but rather took in the sea air by the shore. Inspiring by itself and a lesson for all of us on how to capture moments of brief meditation. A metaphor of how to proceed with life, to slow down and enjoy. How appropriate as a preamble to our wedding.
Take care, you will always be in our thoughts. Thank you for your contribution to our happiness.
