I cannot say enough AWFUL things about my experience with La Bella Rue. Although the stationery looks really nice, Paula is completely unprofessional and unresponsive. Getting a response from her is like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks. After meeting with her in person in January for my mid-March wedding, she repeatedly took forever to respond to my attempts at communication. From the get-go, we said we definitely want to use you, please give us a contract, etc. I knew exactly what I wanted, as I had picked it out at her house when we met with her. It took WEEKS of emailing to make small changes to a draft contract (something that could have been done in 1 day if only she had responded in a timely manner, not once every 13 days) I finally spoke to her on the phone and said we are all set, how can we put a deposit down and she said, ok, I will email your contract to you the minute we hang up...then it was another 10 days of not hearing from her and no contract in sight, when I attempted to contact her again to remind her! By this time, it was the end of February, and I still had NO contract from her, and NO mock up of anything she was doing for me (I was having her do my seating scroll, menus, church programs, and gift bag welcome note). This is when she went completely AWOL - I left countless emails and messages on her business line. I DID NOT HEAR FROM HER UNTIL 3 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING! She had been in Connecticut she said, and she had completely forgotten that my wedding was March 19...she thought it was in April. HELLO!! How do you run a business?? First of all, you're not in Siberia, you're in CONNECTICUT! Don't you have access to email and phones for the past 3 weeks? And how do you forget when your clients' weddings are?? The date was in the subject line of our emails! AND you had noted it on our first meeting, not to mention how many times I had repeated it. I had asked her countless times how long it takes to do, and she would nonchalantly say that she needed the final info the week of the wedding. Fine. But again, never received a contract from her and she disappeared for 3 weeks. I thought she had died!! When she emailed me back telling me she had forgotten and was in CT, she was like, I can still do all of the stationery for you. Ummm, thanks. My wedding is 3 days away. I had to find someone else the WEEK of my wedding to do a rush order (which of course I had to pay extra for). Needless to say, La Bella Rue was the WORST experience of my wedding planning, and threw me into an absolute panic and frenzy the week of my wedding. WARNING: STAY AWAY! Completely unresponsive and unprofessional. What a disaster.

Paula was absolutely fabulous to work with. We had custom invitations made. We gave her a couple of pictures of the theme we wanted and she took it to the next level. She was creative and made suggestions. She also made our RSVP, Table and Menu cards at a reasonable cost and this allowed us to extend the theme of our invitations into the reception.
