All the Sweet Stuff is made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients, everything from scratch, always baked fresh, never ever frozen. All the cake flavors, fillings and frostings are listed to mix and match to suite your individual taste. Yep, we know, Island Sweet Stuff has a long list of fab flavors to choose from. All our cakes are so yummy it can be difficult to decide on a flavor combination. No problem, help is here, just ask us. Don’t see your favorite flavor listed? So many cakes, so little time!!!
Your imagination is the only limitation! All the cakes we make are custom made to order from start to finish, so we do not have a stock of pre-made cakes for sale. We would love to hear from you in your earliest stages of planning, as we do often book up months in advance. The more advance notice you give us, the more time we can devote to your scrumptious cake creation!
All our cakes are different and unique, priced individually, depending on how much artistic labor is ivloved. We are perfectionists and our cakes are painstakingly crafted to absolute, unimaginable levels of confection perfection. Pricing is based on the number of servings, the style, flavor & completity of diverse design. During our consultation we will work with you to create your own personal unique design vision.
Reservations for Wedding Cake orders require four weeks notice prior to the event date. Rush orders may be subject to a surcharge. Usually two–four week’s notice is recommended for Custom Cake orders. Do remember to book your cake early, as our schedule fills up fast. We always attempt to accommodate last minute requests if our schedule permits. So give us a call or shoot us an e-mail, you never know.
SWEET MORSELS ABOUT THE CHEF:
Cynthia is the Executive Pastry Chef/Owner of Island Sweet Stuff, a custom cake company on St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Since she was three years old, living in Boston, she has made cakes! Every chance she could get she was in the kitchen baking the Sweet Stuff! Always experimenting with all things sweet; hence the making of a Pastry Chef began.
The humble start of her professional pastry career began our of her home kitchen in 1987 in the US Virgin Islands. After opening upa a small bakery in downtown Charlotte Amalie, STT, USVI, and buidling a business that sold to 30 hotels & restaurants on the island, she moved on to expand her pastry horizons. Working as the Executive Pastry Chef at such places as Marriott Hotel, Boston, Ma, Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC, The Ritz Carlton Hotel & Resort, STT, US Virgin Islands. All along the way training through courses at the University of the Virgin Islands, STT, and various Pastry & Business courses in Boston and the Carolinas. She has won several Gold Medals in Pastry Competitions throughout the country, including bringing home the gold at the Charleston, SC, Gingerbread House Competition, held at the Kiawah Resort. Her work has been featured in many National publications, and as well, her recipes are part of Magnolias Restaurant, Charleston, SC, latest cookbook.
From the start of her professional pastry career she has been teaching pastry classes in Culinary School and freelance. Cynthia has traveled extensively from Paris, France to Melbourne, Australia and parts in between, always searching for pastry inspiration. Honing her craft through the years to bring you a level of excellence and unique, professional artistry for all her sweet cake creations. It has been Cynthia's privilege and delight to have made beautiful and delicious cakes for so many people for 24 years now.
