My experience with Ivy Lane has not been a positive one. The venue is gorgeous. I love historic buildings so this seemed like an ideal place to get married. The all-inclusive idea seemed perfect! I loved the thought of paying one price and getting everything!! One of the owners tours us and all through the tour tells us anything is possible we can do whatever we want really they are very flexible. It is never mentioned that anything we do outside the norm will be an additional cost. When I say outside the norm I mean minor little changes nothing that intense just stuff I have seen at other wedding venues. All we ever hear about the price is that it is all-inclusive a one stop shop. So I book there. I booked in advance by the time it came to my wedding they had changed all vendors that I had been sold on the idea of going with. So I end up going with an outside florist, mainly because Ivy Lane seems so confused about what they are actually doing and who will be the florist. It almost seemed that they were being shady about the whole thing and trying to not let me catch onto the changes they had made. I approached the owner and she seems more confused about what is going on than anyone else there, and blows me off. I get credited a minimal amount. The invitations are marked up twice the amount of the actual cost. Better to buy wholesale online or do your own or have your photographer do them. The pastry chef is amazing, but they switched half way through on this as well and seemed very unorganized and confused about who would be doing my cake. The planning meetings were a nightmare. They were incredibly long and there was more than one meeting. We were constantly interrupted and wasted more time in those meetings than any other part of the wedding planning. It wasn't fun and it wasn't the way I had imagined it or the way some of my friends planned their weddings. I feel like I was shorted the wedding experience, because I chose to have my wedding there. It seemed like they are just winging it, and don’t seem to understand the importance and the money that you are putting into this day. We walked in several times to the owner screaming at staff members, I felt very uncomfortable there. I was very nervous about having my wedding there. It seems to me that they are constantly having unexpected issues in running that place. I wonder how long they will even stay in business. I started to look around at other venues. I realized when I received my final bill that we could have had a beautiful wedding with a lot less stress, and had an enjoyable experience many other places for the cost that we ended up paying Ivy Lane. If I had to do it again I would diffidently look at Ben Lomond and Wolf Creek and Snow Basin. The wedding ended up okay...they lost my bridal bouquet and they kept some of my stuff. I feel like it is overall a dishonest company and that they try and nickel and dime you for everything they can. They were actually rude to some of my guests. I thought that was distasteful. My final bill was outrageous and $2000 more than we anticipated. They charged me custom linen charges even though they offered the linens to me. I also think that they sale you on the idea of fully decorating the mansion, but when it comes down to it you are actually paying it you want it to look decent. Most other places I have looked into do not charge for chair sashes if they already have them. For a backdrop to make the outside ceremony look halfway decent they charge you another $200! They reuse this tulle constantly I am sure. So the cost seems ridiculous. The linens and the napkins they use are cheap as well, and embarrassing. I had to look in my papers from when I first booked there to see that they in fact over charged me on several things. Their prices are constantly changing and you must keep proof of what you booked with because they will not care and they will over charge you. I would be careful choosing to have your wedding there. From what I have heard from community members they may not be around too much longer, and I doubt from the way that we were treated you would receive your deposit back if they did close down.

This reception cetner was wonderful to work with. We had a lot of last minute surprises and they adapted well and helped me keep it together. I was so caught up in the day I completely forgot about dancing and cutting the cake, but at the right time they reminded me and kept the recetion moving. I would recomend this venue to anyone.

Very pretty inside and out. Would be nice if they dusted the cobwebs.
