All i can say about Jack & Rose was that when I walked into my design session with Patty I told her I wanted my room to look romantic and magical and she superseded that the room was absolutely breathtaking. I wish I can go back and walk into that room for the first time again. It was amazing. We would highly recommend them to anyone

Do not use this florist. At the end of the day I will say that my centerpieces were lovely but not many other florists would have done the same thing for less money and less aggravation (I had roses and hydrangeas with ostrich feathers). My personal flowers were not good though. To sum it up, this florist is very dated and will not give you modern or fresh flowers....most of their work looks like it's from the 80s or so simple that proflowers.com could have done the same thing. Those brides that liked this place probably were very traditional and simple and didn't mind plain, ordinary or even slightly wilted flowers. If you are modern, detail oriented and smart.....do not use the florist.

Here's my story....

I booked this florist since they were recommended by the Watermill and they gave us a good price. However, do not be fooled by their original low price. First of all, we received our price before we got our contract which meant that we had discussed what we wanted, quoted a price but were mailed the contract weeks later which did not accurately reflect what we had said. Ex.) I said that I wanted LARGE bouquets for myself and the girls because the bridesmaid dresses were black and white and I wanted their pink rose bouquet to offer a pop of color. Moreover, myself, sisters and most of my bridesmaids are tall and a skimpy bouquet would look dumb. When I got the contract it said that my bridesmaid would only get 15 roses and I would get 20......that's very small especially when they use tiny roses which aren't even open yet. Even more disturbing was that the bouquets they showed us in their books had 30 or more flowers a piece and I had wanted bigger than the pictures. This being said, I'm not really sure why I received a contract with half as many flowers. When I pointed this discrepancy out, I was told that their bouquets were big and I shouldn't worry. I asked if they would make me a sample bouquet and they refused. Finally I just fought with them saying if they didn't give me larger bouquets as promised I would go elsewhere and sue them in small claims court. So they upgraded my bouquets at no charge. I thought this resolved the problem but on the day of my wedding the bouquets were still too small, flat looking, wrong color and worst of all the flowers were bad quality. The bridesmaid's bouquets were supposed to be white and light pink but came in a yellowly looking cream and pink and the flowers looked wilted with brown edges. My flowers were supposed to be made of large pale pink roses but they were all closed, yet still wilted looking. So disappointed. At least since Jack and Rose refused to deliver my flowers to my home to take pictures with because they said they would be ruined in the cold weather (meanwhile it was 50 degrees and we took photos inside), the bouquets didn't make it to most of the pictures.

The centerpieces turned out nice but it was another battle to get them that way. Initially, we ordered large rose centerpieces with little to no greenery and baby's breath in tall vases with an orchid inside. When we saw the sample we were horrified because it looked like something proflowers threw together for $60 but we had spent $200 a piece! There were not enough roses, they were wilted and brown, some were open some were closed, they were not put together well just thrown in the vase and there was so much green it almost looked like a funeral arrangement. The best part was the "cascading orchid" we were promised in the vase was actually just a leftover orchid branch with 3 buds and one small bloom. When we complained they pretended to be shocked like there was something wrong with us. They also said that they would never have put a whole orchid in a vase because that would have doubled the price and an orchid couldn't fit in a vase anyway.....Long story short we had them switch out greenery for hydrangea (which I asked for originally and was told it was unavailable in winter), added more roses, replaced the orchid branch with a rose, and added ostrich feathers to give it some drama (a cost we had to bear on our own). They looked lovely but it ended up costing us 850 more than our original contract despite the fact that our wishes had not changed-they just gave us cheap shit in our contract instead of listening to what we wanted in the first place.

I needed ceremony flowers last minute and asked Bayport Flower Houses to do them since I lived close by this florist-They were amazing......so wish I had just went there!

Overall, at the end of the day, the flowers were gorgeous. However, making an appointment was another story. Unless you are unemployed, I don't know how any of their customers could find the times of their available appointments convenient. In addition, the contract is thicker than that of a contract you would have for buying a new house, which made it difficult to read. Lastly, after confirming the drop-off time twice, the flowers were dropped off 40 minutes late. This was particularly inconvenient since they only had one drop-off location which meant that someone had to wait for the flowers to be delivered in order to bring them to the groom and his party who needed them for photos. At the end of the day, the quality was tainted by the other experiences that we had with their staff.

They are a little pricey but worth it if you want beautiful flowers and unbelievable center pieces . I was married in the fall ad really wanted the fall colors And look to it. The stands the flowers were on looked like trees with all dried leaves in them. The flowers were gorgeous and had all tea lights hanging from sticks. They were so creative and everything was done right and on time. I absolutely loved the work they did

I decided to check out Jack and Rose after attending the Bridal showcase at Crest and it was also one of the vendors they recommended. I was a little hesitant to use them because they had tons of bad reviews. We decided to go anyway and they gave us the best price for what we were looking for so we decided to go ahead and sign the contract. I dont have any complains except maybe the man in the office is rude but I did not have to deal with him I dealt with Patty. She was nice. My arrangements were simple which is probably a good thing. My bouquet was gorgeous and just like I had envision it. The bouquet for the maids of honor, BM and flowers girl were beautiful as well. So no complains from me.

My husband and I met with both Jack and Patty from Jack & Rose.

Both were very professional, flexible and listened to what we wanted as well as offered suggestions to compliment our wedding.

The flowers we received from Jack & Rose were exactly what we were looking for - elegant and classy.

I highly recommend Jack & Rose as they were excellent to work with.

I met with Patty for the design session. During my session another future bride stopped by and demanded to talk her and Jack, she was very irate. Arguing in the foyer, I could hear it was something about the flowers, particularly the color, not being what she had agreed upon an she demanded her moneyback, etc. I foolishly passed it off as a "Bridezilla" and styed and booked them for my personel flowers. I should have taken the hint from the other bride to be! The next hint came in the form of the most absurdly unprofessional looking contract I've ever seen - over 50% of it WAS IN CAPS and underlined, then they set about using a yellow highlighter on other parts. And then the initially after almost every line that "I understand" this and that.
My marriage ceremony was at 3PM and my photographer was coming at 1PM, so I asked that my flowers be delivered by 12 Noon. Patty thought that was too early, but agreed without incident. On the day of the wedding they arrived an hour earlier then requested. Yes i am glad it was an 1 hour earlier rather than 1 hour later, but that was pretty unprofessional. And yet again I had to initial multiple times the "I understand" this and that before the delivery man would leave my home.
My bouquet was made up of mainly roses and peonies. My peonies were supposed to be a darker pink than the pink roses, as agreed upon at the design session. The peonies and pink roses matched. But it still looked very nice, and I did not want ANY undue stress so I said nothing.
I did remove ANY of the personal flowers from the delivery box before my photographer arrived and we were ready to take photos. When we were ready for flower photos we removed the cellophane covering on the box and I watched my photographer gently remove my bouquet. Immediately one of my roses fell out of the arrangement and onto the floor. I plucked it up and he handed me the bouquet for inspection. I had a large cascading bouquet and the florist did not deem it necessary to use any floral wiring, all the flower and just been stuck into a damp green flower foam!! So I stuck the flower back into it's spot and held my breath as I walked down the rather long aisle at church and hoped none of the flowers fell out.
Lucky me they lasted the entire mass! But as I walking back to the Rolls Royce two roses slipped out! Inside the limo i had to once more repair my bouquet. Obviously the roses that had landed on floor had bruised petals!
I went with Jack and Rose because they gave me a good price with the type of flowers and style of bouquet I wanted. The bouquets the MOH and bridemaids had were clutch style and had no issues that I am aware of, same with the bouttenniers. And my large cascade bouquet looked beautiful, but the quality was a real issue.

Jack and Rose were recommended by Swan Club. Perhaps they would have been more accommodating for a larger budget, but I was worn down by the time I dealt with Jack and his asst, Patty. Sorry I caved. They didn't provide the color I wanted (and sent pictures of), left petals for the caterer to have strewn (which never made it to the tables) and were unavailable once they had money in hand. Jack was rude when doing the contract (I should've walked then!) and tried to regroup and smile. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I had wanted specific things spelled out, and he balked that "we are a multi-million dollar company and don't rip people off!" Wish I'd read these reviews before. There are so many florists out there, and this is the one area I feel I truly made a mistake with in my beautiful wedding--the florist! Choose wisely with someone who leaves you with a good feeling. Do NOT be backed into a corner. Leave and think about your treatment at the shop and whether you were pushed into signing right then and there for a "deal"! You can always go back, OR NOT.
