ABSOLUTELY THE WORST BUSINESS MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE DEALT WITH. Products are overpriced and customer service is terrible. Employees are extremely dishonest and rude. Jared tricked us out of 17K+.
Long story here: On our first visit to the store in March 2014, we put a center diamond on hold. We picked up the diamond after 2 and 1/2 weeks in April. When asked for the return policy, we were told: "30 days of wearing the diamond". We wanted to return the diamond after 2 weeks of wearing, however, the store refused the return, because the reservation period also counts toward the 30 days. In the end, the store agreed to do an equal exchange and told us that they will call us when they get some diamonds of the same size and quality in. However, the store did not follow up with us nor get diamonds in as promised. When we contacted the store, we were told that they have not yet gotten the diamonds in.
We customized a ring setting shortly after purchasing the center diamond. We paid for the custom in April 2014 and had the wax made. Due to the promised diamond exchange, the sales presentative told us to delay on making the custom until we finish the diamond exchange. The store let us use a setting and said we can return the setting when our custom is ready. The store received our payment for the custom, but did not once follow up with us to finish the custom and supplying us the product we paid for. We finally ordered the custom to be made in August 2015. Jared charged us an additional $1,165 due to "price increase of diamond and gold" over the last year. This is a 50% price increase and is very unreasonable since we paid for the custom in full already and were already in the process of making the custom. We were also informed that if we cancel the custom, we would have to pay $700 for the wax that was made. We were unaware of this perviously.

This is a long story but I'll try to keep it short because telling it exhausts me.

My wife and I live in China and we came back to Alabama, where I am from to get married. It was a hectic time leading up to the wedding, as we were planning it from outside of the country. Her grandfather had bought her wedding rings from a store in China, but the sizes were way off, so when we finally arrived in Alabama to make the final preparations for our wedding we found ourselves at Jared. They were the only store we could find that had could resize rings on short notice. With our wedding only a few days a way, this was vital. We left her 100 year old antique engagement ring with them so that they could match the curve of the engagement ring to the curve of the wedding band we just bought. 24 hours later we come back to discover they had completely altered the size and appearance of my wife's antique engagement ring. She was so distraught, my mom had to call me down to the store to calm her down. She continued to cry in the store for over an hour. Of course the employees who screwed up feigned sympathy, but said they could not offer any refunds because it was their corporate policy. We took the rings because we had no choice with just a couple days until the wedding, but following up with their corporate customer service was simply a nightmare. They were rude , uncaring, unsympathetic, and just completely unconcerned with the fact that the forever altered a precious symbol of my love to my wife. We will never walk into another Jared for any reason for the rest of my life and I will actively tell everyone I know who might be looking for jewelry to stay away. Just thinking about what happened and how they treated us gets my blood boiling. They are a terrible company and the worst case of American Corporate greed. I hope anyone who reads this will stay away and go to someone they trust.

Guys please do your research before purchasing from Jared or any of their sister stores. The jewelry is marked up extremely high and if you look into financing they have no problem taking advantage of you. Don't be fooled. Do your research first, I wish someone would have warned me!

I purchased my rings from a customer jeweler in Atlanta for $15k. I took them to Jared's in Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida to get them sized, tightened and cleaned for the wedding. I only had the rings 3 months when I took them there. The ring was a size 7 and I needed it sized to a 5 on both the engagement ring and wedding band. I was very nervous to leave my rings with anyone overnight, but trusted a well known company. What they did not tell me was that sizing the ring this far down would pull them diamonds closer and weaken the tightness on the diamonds. I got married 4 1/2 months later. As I started to wear the rings, I lost 4 diamonds and now three more are coming out. I called and called the store requesting assistance. I could barely get a call back. I then drove from Key Largo back to the store in Jacksonville 6 hours to show the managers. By this point I was 2 weeks over the 6 months deadline for repairs although I was calling for weeks! The manager would not help me. He wanted to charge me over $1k to fix the ring stating the quality of the ring was compromised and the brackets were weak holding the diamonds in place. He also mentioned a gouge in the inside where sized and asked who did the work after them. I replied only them. I wrote the corporate office a letter and emailed customer service asking for help. I would even consider paying half the cost even though it was clearly there fault just to get my rings fixed so I can wear them again. They of course sent a response that they would not help since I was just over the 6 months time-frame and would take no responsibility for the damages. I am floored at the customer service experience I had there. Now I have to make a trip to Atlanta and I live in Key Largo now to get them fixed. Once Jared gets the sale, they do not care about customers after that! First when my fiance purchased the ring, they told him it would be ready by a certain day and time and it was not ready! When me and him when back a few months later to get my ring re-sized, they could not find him in the system, when he was just their months ago! HELLO YOU SHOULD HAVE RECORD IN YOUR SYSTEM BY LAST NAME OF PURCHASES! So the lady then tells me my ring wouldn't be ready until 3 days later! I was in their on a Sunday and they told me it would be ready by that Wed., HELLO I JUST GOT THE RING, I AM NOT WAITING 3 DAYS! I thought they would have it re-sized that same day, but no "they were so backed up" BS! they were not, they are just lazy and unorganized. The lady then says it would be ready the next day (mon) by 7pm, i go there and guess what?!? ITS NOT READY!! SHOCKER! They tell me to come back an 1hr and a ½ later and its still too loose, the lady says give it a few weeks, ok fine. Here it is 4 weeks later, the ring it still too loose. I went back to jared today and GUESS WHAT?! -THEY COULD NOT FIND MY FIANCE'S NAME IN THE SYSTEM AGAIN! I WAS READY TO SCREAM. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED.. finally after 15 min the lady finally finds his info- I needed to get my ring re-sized a 1/4 size smaller then what it was, this is a Wed. I am dropping it off for the ring to go down a 1/4 size they tell me it will be ready by SUNDAY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! NO WAY! What newly engaged person wants to part with their ring for that long? 1 day is long enough! I purchased a wedding band from your store in Altamonte Springs FL upon recommendation from her sister. My fiancee has returned a few times for service / irodium per the warranty I purchased from Jared. She has had nothing but issues. The employees have been rude, making comments about prior purchases, and giving her issues about the warranty I purchased from Jared. Needless to say, the saleswoman who sold me the ring was extremely nice, but since then, the customer service has been horrendous. If this situation is not rectified, we will take the ring elsewhere for service, and our family will never do business with a Jared or any Signet Jewelers for that matter. I have done business with other jewelers before, and have never experienced anything remotely as awful as how we have been treated by Jared.

Less than impressed. It is clear the only goal at Jared is to make a sale regardless of need. We were in to try to make a purchase for my son and futur daughteron law wedding bands. Staff did offer to clean my rings. Great except they came back to advise me my diamonds were loose on my wedding band. I did appreciate the information. They offered to do an estimate which I agreed to. They came back, without actually showing me what needed to be done or any detail, but said it wouldbe $1100. To repair. Ok if that is the case I will get two other quotes as I do for anything. The worst part was they said without consideration of the sentimental value, they recommend I trade it in with them. All they ask is that if they gave me $1000. That we spend at least$2000. Really? First it is worth a lot more than that. No explanation of why. Very unprofessional. We did go to two other goldsmiths for quotes. Both were between $80. And $100. To repair the claws and hold the diamonds in place. I felt I needed to write a review as this is absurd. We did go to other jeweler s who truly listened to what we were looking for, instead of just trying to make a quick sale. We will never return to make any purchase at Jared.
