Amazing! Instead of doing the traditional wedding cake for all of our guests, we decided to have mini cakes for each person. My husband and I just LOVED the pastries at the Jean Philippe Patisseries in both Aria and the Bellagio, so we wanted to share the amazingness with our loved ones on our wedding day. Our reception was cocktail style, so the small cakes went with the 'theme' perfectly! We chose six of our favorites (snickers, carrot cake cupcake, key lime, lemon pie, fruit tart & raspberry cheesecake) for about 80 guests and had them delivered directly to our Joe's Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab for our reception. We really didn't have to do much because the Sarah (coordinator with JP) and Jessica (coordinator with Joe's) worked out the logistics! We just picked out flavors :) It was perfect and our guests LOOOOVED the cakes! As for OUR wedding cake (really just for 'cutting the cake'), we went with a small round red velvet with cream cheese icing… omg! I won't lie-- I had a key lime pastry, too! Initially, I asked Sarah to have the cake decorators to do very little for our wedding cake, as I didn't want to detract from all the other mini cakes on our display table. She suggested to add a little more-- with a little color and so we went with it. I was so happy we did- it was perfect. They did everything we wanted and more! Oh yeah-- ordering small mini cakes for each guest ended up saving us quite a bit of $$! At $4.50-$7 each, mini cakes were a steal compared to Las Vegas Patisserie prices for wedding cakes with the same-- if not better--quality.

First off I would like to thanks Jean Philippe for being so reassuring that our cake was going to be amazing. we never did a cake tasting but he said that he was going to make something special. We had the most beautiful cake (work of art) i have ever seen and it tasted out of this world. If you go to his shops, you will see his amazing creations. How truly lucky you will be to be able to say that your cake was made by the 3 time world champion pastry chef, Jean Philippe Maury.
