Julie really is an amazing and talented Florist!!! She does a lot of russian events and she works with Temple Beth El a lot so she knows it like the back of her hands. Consultation was great - she asked what our budget was and she showed us the pics of centerpieces and huppa exactly for that budget. She had pictures from Temple Beth El, so it made it so much easier to envision how the space will look like with the flowers. If you come in and sign a contract with her, she builds a centerpiece right in front of you so that you see it live. And she gave as a bouquet of flowers on top of everything when we signed the contract.

The contract included centerpieces, the huppa, all personal flowers for the bridal party and the parents, an additional bridal bouquet to throw, flowers in the bathrooms and the hallway, the money box (which looked like a treasure chest so i loved it!), the ring bearer's pillow, the flower girl's basket, the runner, decorations for the outside space in front of Temple Beth El - she really gave a lot for our budget, which was way below $4,000.00.

Two weeks before the wedding we met again and i told her my colors. She gave me some great ideas to make it look like it's a really expensive wedding with just some small touches (to put a little pretty container with mint candy and bandages in the bathrooms - cost me less then $20 but everybody loved it!). She also taught me how to take care of the personal flowers on the wedding day, which was very helpful. And in the end of appointment she gave me a wedding gift of lucky bamboo so i can grow it at home.

My bouquet was a huge bouquet of peonies (absolutely beautiful), my bridesmaids had roses and the rest of the bridal party had orchids. The peonies were closed in the morning but started opening up right in time for the ceremony.

Overall, Julie did a great job. A++. I will post pics of the centerpieces she made for me very soon.

My fiance and I got our flower's from Julie as she was listed as a preferred vendor by our wedding hall. We are so lucky that we found her. She did an amazing job with our flowers. It took us a little while to convey the style we wanted to her, but once she understands the look you are asking for, she is phenomenal. She also provided us with more than we actually agreed upon. She brought extra displays and did not charge us for them. She was there very early to set up. Initially, we were concerned because we didn't see her reviewed many places, but trust us she is a great value and her work is top-notch.

I read the review just prior to this one, and I remember having the same worried feeling when I saw the clutter in the shop and saw her pictures from other weddings. Keep in mind, that is what those brides wanted. If you explain what you want, she will give you even more than you imagined.

I can only rate Julie based on her responsiveness, professionalism, and the value of what she provides. My coordinator at my venue highly recommended her so I was pretty excited to have a good florist at hand. However, I honestly found myself wondering weather there was some form of commission the venue gets for referring her clients.

First off, I called 3x to speak with her, but she was never around. Keep in mind that these are 3 separate days at different times throughout the day. The lady who picked up the phone was never able to say when Julie would return. This was already a bad sign to me. But I still gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to make an appointment just so I could finally speak with her.

When I finally showed up at her shop, I was unimpressed by what I saw. The place reminded me of a cluttered deli. There were cardboard boxes piled up high along the entrance forming a narrow walkway. There were no tasteful bouquets (or even flowers) displayed at the window and within the shop. There were very few flowers seen. I had the feeling they were there just for storage purposes. I felt this was her chance to show the everyone walking by the shop and her customers her sense of style and that she was definitely the florist to hire for all occasions. This was not the case. I did not get this feeling at all. I also did not feel as welcomed as I expected to. I stepped in with my MIL and fiance and felt immediately lost and the lady at the desk just stared at us as if she wondered what we wanted. Keep in mind that I had an appointment and they should have been expecting us. When we finally met Julie, she seemed nice and accommodating. I gave her my budget flat out, but I regret that. Then she showed me pictures of bouquets and centerpieces she had done for past events. I was not impressed b/c the flowers arrangements were just awkward. And I've never said that about any florist shop. Flowers are usually beautiful to me and I love them. But what she showed me just didn't cut it. Then she showed me books with wonderful bouquets and centerpieces. But this turned out to be a book of sample photos she had purchased. None of the flowers in the book were actually her work. Regardless, I made a few selections and gave her my thoughts on how I would like the products to be. And without breaking down the prices, she immediately told me that the flowers would cost what I had told her was my budget. I find it hard to believe that the flowers would come out to exactly the number I had given her. She did not explain to me what anything cost. I was almost certain that I could've given her a lower budget and have her tell me that's exactly what the flowers would cost. I felt as if I was being ripped off. I didn't trust her. And even after the entire conversation, she just told me to email her in 4 or 5 months. My wedding is in 6 months. She did not mention anything about a contract, she did not give me any printouts to take home. I had nothing to ensure that I had found my florist, and that my florist would definitely show up with my orders on my wedding day. Flowers is one of those things on the top of the wedding planning list that needs to be done months in advanced.

I gave it some thought, and decided to continue my research. I've now found a wonderful florist that can provide what Julie claims will cost exactly $1500 (my budget) for less. This florist is very responsive and I didn't feel as if she was trying to rip us off. But that's another review. So all in all, I did not end up working with Julie's Flowers after our initial meeting. And I do no regret it the least bit. All these negative things I felt towards their company (lack of responsiveness, lack of organization, the unclear budget/rate she worked with...etc..etc...were signs that I would be running into problems if we hired them for our wedding. Wedding planning is difficult as it is. Hire her at your own risk. But that's just my opinion.

Julie is very good at what she does. Our chuppah was BEAUTIFUL.. our centerpieces were GORGEOUS and our hall looked AMAZING. She literally transformed our hall from an ugly duckling to a swan. She did exactly what I envisioned and because of her, I was a VERY happy bride!!!

However.. with the good.. comes the not so good. During the whole planning process, Julie kept getting us involved with the drama that she was having with our hall owner. They work together and she's his exclusive florist, so I'm not really sure why they can't work it out. The day before our wedding, I was on the phone with Julie.. IN TEARS.. because she kept telling me that I had to call the owner and work out some last minute details with him, otherwise the hall wouldn't be ready on time. It's very unprofessional in my opinion..but at the end, she took care of everything, and everything worked out fine.

On our wedding day.. we got a runner from Julie.. and when I was walking down the isle, I tripped on it and almost fell. The runner was so cheap.. I wish I didn't ask her for it at all. It crumpled up and everyone kept tripping on it. I would recommend either getting your own or none at all.

Our card tree table was SO TINY!!! There were some place cards that didn't fit on it at all.. and I have NO CLUE how some of our guests found out about their table # because some of them never even saw their card.

Also...we felt like we OVER PAID for our flowers. Although we did get a lot of things.. some of the things we got were already in the hall.. although I was told we were getting something new.

Other then that.. I really loved Julie's work.. :)

Julie was a recommended vendor by our reception hall and she did my Matron of Honor's wedding, which was a great way of seeing her work first hand. She really does her best to provide brides with beautiful flowers at a great price. We were able to have our tall centerpieces at half the price of other florists. And she was even more generous to give us all of our pew bows free (all 40 of them). She really did a wonderful job on my bouquet as well, I never expected such a beautiful bouquet. If you're looking for centerpieces under $60, go see Julie; she does wonders with any budget. She may try to control your floral decisions but you just need to stand your ground and she will give you want you want for your wedding.

It took me a long time to find a florist. I have champagne taste and beer pockets. I had a very specific look I was going for my wedding. I was going to Manhattan florists and event planners and they were showing me things that I could do myself (if it wasn't my wedding) and charging me as if I was going to through a celebrity wedding. I was at my wits end and then... ah!! Julie's Flowers!!!

Julie listened to what I wanted and NOT ONCE did she say, NO or YOU CANT HAVE THAT. She said, YES and this is how we can do it!! She gave me a gorgeous wedding within my budget and without the pretentiousness that I was finding with all the other florists I was looking with.

Julie is an artist at her trade. Meeting with her is such a treat because she really takes your ideas and runs with them. Her team had everything set up and it was better than anything we thought it would be like. Everything was really beautiful and the room smelled spectacular. She traveled from Brooklyn two hours to do our wedding.
