I bought my wedding dress from LaReine Bridal and I am absolutely thrilled about it. My overall experience with LaReine was good, but could have been a bit better. The shop is in Waltham, MA in a converted house. A bit run down, but it has tons of charm. When you arrive for your appointment you have a changing room with curtains and sofas/chairs for your family/friends to sit. I told the woman helping me what I had in mind, and she brought only a small handful off dresses for me to try. She maybe went back to the stock room 2-3 times total and I probably tried on a total of 6-8 dresses tops. I wished I had seen more options, but the sales woman really seemed to want to hone in on my criteria and price range. I appreciated that she never went above my budget in what she showed me. I ended up finding my dress, but returned to the store a second time to try it again before deciding. When I had my second appointment, I was only given my top 2 dresses, including the one I ended up buying, to try on. I felt a bit of pressure, and would have liked to have been given more of an opportunity to try a few more dresses. The reality is that I found my dress and the sales girl knew I had, and so did my mom and maid of honor. So I just went with it and I am truly happy with how everything turned out. Just keep in mind they don't seem to let you try a ton of dresses. They keep the appointments very structured. The other negative is that I was told that I could have all these special alterations done by the in-house seamstress, and when time came to meet with her, she told me I could not do certain things that I was counting on. Her prices were pretty high too. In the end everything worked out beautifully and I am so in love with my dress, so I really have no complaints. My advice if you go to LaReine and their seamstress, advocate for what you want right from the start. The owner is so sweet and the young women who helped me during my appointments were all great!

I am really disappointed in this vendor. I would not recommend a bride to this salon for a dress. The only I can say, is that when i showed up to try on gowns the person who waited on me was incredibly accomodating. HOwever, everything after that, was a disaster. 1. The told me $75 for halo hem on lace dress. They left it off my bill, called me on my way home and told me I owed them $225. They needed to put it on my CC right away. I had to get the owner on the phone because when I called back it was MORE than $225. Not good. 2. I call 5 months later to find out if dress arrived, it didnt arrive. I call back another 2 months and I get scolded because the dress had been sitting there for 2 months! Bad telephone service. 3. I show up to try on gown. I ordered off-white, and bright white showed up. I didn't even notice, and at that stage just wanted my dress. I also needed a veil, tried it on, spent time picking it out, never got rung up. At this stage, I figured I didn't want to give them the business anyways.
Save yourseld the hassel, and find a bridal salon that wants your business.

Rude. We went there after being pretty sure which dress we wanted. They didn't have it but we tried on other dresses, then ordered the dress we had originally wanted from them, sight unseen. The owner interrupted the salesgirl helping us multiple times and was incredibly rude. When I asked about a very dirty sample dress, she made me feel ridiculous that I would expect not to pay the full price. The dress we ordered arrived on time, but I was so glad that we didn't have to deal with them for alterations or anything else.

I cannot say enough about my experience at La Reine I'd been to a handful of bridal salons in Boston and all over New England and liked a few dresses but didn't love any, and had mixed feelings about the stores and salespeople.
La Reine went beyond ALL my expectations. After all the bad reviews I almost didnt go. I do not have a big budget but my consultant, Jessia made me feel so special and important--even after I found a dress I loved (that would end up being "the one"), she kept bringing more dresses for me to try. To top it off, when I mentioned I wanted to try on a dress at another salon before making up my mind, she was totally understanding and advised me, "you have to be sure."There Fitting room was amazing- ( you have your own room with a couch and chairs they had candles lit it was so relaxing!!)
I was surprized. I got a dress at La Reine that was beyond my wildest dreams, at a price point well within my budget, and I was even styled by a designer at a trunk show they were having.
Jessica brought me a few dresses that I'd asked for but mostly dresses she and the suggested (I went into it with an open mind and highly suggest you do the same unless you're sure you know exactly what you want). And almost EVERY dress looked good, if not great on me.Jessica knows what fits your body- This did not happen at other salons, and the unflattering dresses left me wondering if I'd ever find the right one! When I had walked in I wasnt excited- She really made it fun and im toatly excited!!!
I believe I had the greatest experience I did because of the store's vast selection, and the knowledgeable staff. The day was like a dream and I'll always remember it! and her, she has called me twice- Once to make a bridesmaid appt, and another for a ship date-but she says she will call to follow me threw. Which I think is amazing, sometimes you need an extra friend :)

Great staff and service. Made me feel very comfortable and did not try to pressure me into buying a more expensive dress. Most of their gowns are on the expensive side but they do have a few under $1000 and they are all beautiful.

The only person that was able to get anything done for me was the owner, Mirelle. I can't complain about my dress - it was perfect in every way and it was exactly what I described to Mirelle.

The service at La Reine is hit or miss. When I first went in and tried on gowns, the gentleman who helped me was great. He took one look at me and brought out five gowns he thought would look good on me, and the first one he chose was my gown. I had tried on dozens of gowns at other shops and never would have considered trying on this gown from seeing it on the rack. He made me feel like a movie star!

By the time my dress arrived, he had been fired and the rest of my visits were not as pleasant. I paid for a custom hem on my gown, and it came in and was far too long. The owner tried to convince me that I needed higher heeled shoes, but I insisted that they send it back and get another gown that fit properly. Luckily I had plenty of time before my wedding. They did reorder the gown and it arrived and fit well, so I paid for it and took it elsewhere for alterations.

They did not treat me in any special way, like other bridal salons. They did not even congratulate me on my upcoming wedding. I would not recommend La Reine. You're not going to get a good price or great service. There are tons of other bridal shops in the Boston area, so in my opinion there's no reason to settle for less than the best.
