The consultant who helped me (Kim) was very helpful and very nice. I found the most beautiful dress for myself. The only downsides were that I was told they would hold my dress until my wedding as long as they had the room. When my dress came in I was told by someone else that "No, I was not allowed to keep my dress there at all." Also they have some other business venture there that they try to include you in, more than once.

I found a dress here but wanted to see what else was out there before I bought it. At the end of the day, I decided that the dress was the one & I wanted to try it on again before I bought it. I went back 15 minutes before they closed & the doors were locked. They let me in but when I said I wanted to try it on 1 more time, the lady told me that she couldnt let me do that unless I was going to buy the dress because everyone had someplace to be right after work (that should have been THE BIGGEST clue not to buy from here). I did get it. They require 75% down & did NOT inform me of a discount if I pay it in full. (Read below to see why I’m mad)

I went back a few weeks later for bridesmaid dresses & to show my sister my dress. When I got there, there was another girl who had an appt & she had the dress I ordered in the room with her. I waited for her to try it on. After she was done I asked to try the dress on for my sister to see. The saleslady said “No. She had an appointment. You have to wait until she leaves the store.”
They care more about making the next sale than taking care of paying customers! THEY WOULDN’T LET ME TRY THE DRESS ON THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR SO THEY COULD TRY & MAKE ANOTHER SALE!
-When the other girl was getting ready to leave, the saleslady told her that if she pays for the dress up front, she gets a 10% discount!

For bridesmaid dresses: they removed the labels off the dresses! Its so you cant do find better prices elsewhere! I paid $145 for a dress I wore in a wedding this summer and Laura’s Bridal is charging $186 for the same dress.

This place is rude, not honest upfront, overcharges and has some ethically questionable business practices. I deeply regret buying my dress here & I hope I can save other girls the troubles I’ve gone thru so far.

Sales woman got on my nerves with their fake "ooh's and aah's" to every little thing! They were also sometimes sneaky with you ordering head pieces.

I bought the most beautiful dress at Laura's. The price wasn't bad and the staff was respectful and courteous. I couldn't give a 5 or 4 for professionalism, however, because the dress I purchased had no designer label. When I inquired as to what brand of dress it was I was told it was from their "private collection". I had read in bridal guides that this is a deceptive practice used to discourage people from finding a gown they like and then shopping around for a better price. I pressed further, but was told that the private collection is a line of dresses made for that shop. While I was getting sized I noted that beneath a a sticker on the size chart was the name "Allure Bridals". When I arrived home that evening, I went on to Allure's website and sure enough, my dress was there with the same style number listed on my receipt next to the "private collection" dress. This made me angry that they would blatantly lie like that. I know there goal is to sell dresses but a dishonest merchant won't sell me anything. I loved my dress and received many compliments, but this just left me with a bad taste in my mouth for them. This kind of practice is what stopped me from going to huge bridal chains that have a reputation for dishonest business practices.

I wore a Pronovia's gown, which I absolutely adored. It was so gorgeous; a very simple timeless design, it practically weightless! Perfect for my summer wedding.

The store? Not what I was expecting. The price was right for my gown, but the serve was just "eh". First they gave me a hard time about using a store credit, even though they told us it wouldn't be an issue a month or so before. They weren't very responsive at the fittings, and overall I just wasn't feeling the bride-love. If I knew then what I know now; I'd go elsewhere.

I purchased a perfect dress from the rack. They told me they had it cleaned and pressed after I purchased it. It came back with stitching in random places on the front of the silk bodice and holes in the armpits. When I saw it they denied it and began to tell me "it was supposed to be there", "try it on and you might not notice it..." "Oh,you misunderstood us, we never sent your dress out to be cleaned." They told me they had on 3 previous occasions and how much they paid to clean it. This was a $2,000 dress-I don't think that this is ok. I was sick. They told me they would fix it that week. 4 months go by and they don't return my calls, even when I beg them to call me back on messages to purchase more things for the dress. I drive 2 hours out to stop in to see if my dress has been repaired, they've taken it from the store and the sales associate doesn't know where they are even keeping it at. Mind you the dress was fully paid for up front from the beginning. Finally a few nasty phone calls from numbers that didn't match my name on their caller ID told them they had 2 days to get the dress back into the store repaired. Their response was that they were not going to fix the dress until 6 weeks before the wedding. My next visit in 2 days later resulted in beading that was not the same size as the rest of the beading on the dress sewn over the bodice to cover up what had turned out to be holes in the front dress. I asked for a full refund. She refused to comply. I told her I was sick about this dress and had been through hell with it and I refused to wear that on my wedding day. The owner responded, direct quote word for word, "honey, you're not old enough to know what hell is," in front of my future mother-in-law and one of my bridesmaids. There were no customers in the store other than us. She made sure of that when she discouraged me to come in that day to see the dress. At one point she had asked me prior to that day why I wanted to see my dress. I spent enough on the thing, I should have a right to drop out and visit it as much as I like, don't you think? Anyways, finally a customer walked in through her front door as we were having this discussion about hell and refunds. She change to this cheerful, cooperative face and said, ok, if that's what you want I'll give you a full refund. And I've not shut up about the experience since.

The sales associate Renè was just a delight until I bought the dress. Then my phone calls stopped getting returned and she became very cool tempered.

Oh, on a final note... I rush ordered my dress from a different store. They took a look at the invoice and what Nancy was charging me for the dress off the rack vs ordering a new dress altogether. It was completely out of line. It cost me $600 more to order the same brand new dress with rush fee to have that dress made and shipped in 3 months. Nancy also lied to me at the refund arguement and told me that it would be well over $3,100 to order the dress new because the dress designer has increased her prices. Bullshit. I obviously caught her in that lie.

Stay away from there.
