We wanted everything about our wedding to be as sustainable as possible. The wonderful people at Leber use recycled metals and fair trade gems. We sent them a ring design and they created it perfectly. We love our rings and everyone who has seen them agrees.

Leber Jewelers does fantastic work, and both my husband and I love our wedding rings (I didn't do an engagement ring). Using responsibly sourced resources for our wedding jewelry was a big priority for us, without sacrificing style. These are contemporary, clean designs that will stand the test of time, and they were very flexible about adjusting a setting design to the family diamond we were using in my band. The result was perfect! Highly recommend!

We wanted socially responsible rings and Leber Jeweler was exactly what we were looking for. Brian is professional and created just the ring we had in mind! I was very happy with the engagement ring and wedding band. Thanks Brian!

My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Leber Jewelers based on internet research for conflict free diamonds and recycled metal bands. He was particularly impressed with Brian and Joanne's dedication and level of advocacy work to improve the verification process to allow African mined diamonds' certification as conflict-free to be believable. I love the ring and the social and environmentally concious materials. We returned to the store to look at wedding bands. My fiance chose to go with an Irish design band instead, but my wedding ring is also conflict free diamonds and a recycled metal band from Leber. Joanne was very patient in letting us try on different styles during two different visits and giving us space to make a decision without hovering over us. Although some of the designs are expensive, there are also simpler, more affordable options available. I appreciated the selection, including the option to design a custom ring, and the source of materials. The only downside was Brian can seem unengaged and quiet instead of friendly and helpful.

Excellent, professional customer service with a personalized touch. You can shop with confidence knowing that your metals and stones were sourced in a humane and environmentally sensitive way. Lots of custom options for engagement rings and wedding bands. Husband and I chose the stone for my engagement ring together and I could not be more thrilled with it and its color and clarity (blue sapphire). Brian designed a custom band to my specifications (the hardest part was deciding which stones I wanted! I went with all blue scattered sapphires but the red, purple and pink stones were so enticing! Convenient location to the Brown Line and downtown. Strongly recommend. Shopped in person so can not comment on ordering online. More expensive than other options but worth it for service, confidence in the product and peace of mind.

I love that Leber is a family-owned business, and that they use only recycled metals in making their jewelry. This is what lead us to them in the first place. We had them custom design a band to go with my engagement ring, which my husband had bought from a company in San Francisco. The ring turned out nicely, but was not quite what I was expecting. My husband's ring came out great. The husband and wife who own the business are helpful enough, but not very warm. Also, you do pay a premium for being an environmentally responsible shopper.

We chose Leber Jewelry because they ensure that your diamonds are from Canadian mines and are not conflict diamonds. Those guarantees/certificates from other places are never real "guarantees" because most diamonds mined in Africa have gone through so many hands, it's hard to track how "conflict-free" they truly are. Furthermore, Brian Leber makes sure that your diamonds are cut in North America, and not in India or China where laws are so lax that children could be the ones laboring over your diamond. Brian custom-designed my engagement ring and did a rush job on it for my then-fiance. I still receive compliments on my engagement ring! He then made a matching wedding band. My husband's wedding band was also custom-made and is beautiful. We like Leber Jewelers so much, and my husband went back and got me a pearl ring for my wedding day gift as well!

Brian Leber makes great "Green" (eco, not the color) jewelry that we are proud to wear and talk about! Tom used Brian for the engagement ring and he worked right in his budget to provide a beautiful ring that is made of recycled gold from electronic parts (not that you can tell) (so no mining...gold mining is WAY WORSE than even diamond mining or coal mining in terms of labor dangers and environmental destruction). The diamond is very high quality and is mined from Canada where labor and environmental standards are highest in the diamond mining world. Unfortunately, recycled or antique diamonds are often mixed in with underground conflict diamonds, so they have to be avoided! Brian spoke personally to us on the phone on several occasions, dealt with a billing mishap quickly, and helped us select great wedding bands, including one that nicely accompanies the engagement ring. I think that cost is slightly higher for some of the rings than what you might pay somewhere else, but you're paying for the conscious easing that your pretty jewelry has not, as it too often does, come with a heavy human and ecological price.

When you order jewelry online, you take a certain risk. But the engagement ring we got from Leber was absolutely beautiful!! We worked with Joanne to order our ring design and she picked out the perfect sapphire for the center-- which was exactly the color I wanted! She was even able to work with me clearly about the particular sized stone. What makes this ring even better is that it's all ethical-- the gold is reclaimed, the inset diamonds are all from Canada (no DeBeers!) and the sapphire is fair trade!! An appraisal was also sent with the ring-- which seemed to value it slightly higher than we paid!

This ring is absolutely stunning. They did such a wonderful job and I still can't stop staring at it and how sparkly it is! (I'm also still stunned at how clear the sapphire is!)
