Working with LFP was the most stressful part of wedding planning. All of our vendors continually commented on how organized, yet laid back I was during the planning process.

LFP really tried my patience. In the end it became apparent to me that the company did not posses the resources to properly take care of ALL of their clients. Perhaps we were not blog or portfolio worthy and that is why we received sub-par treatment.

Initially Stephen was very responsive and friendly, but as soon as we signed a contract and money was paid, he became increasingly difficult to communicate with. I prefer to communicate via email because it leaves me with a record or what was discussed.

As part of our package we were supposed to get an engagement session. Approximately three months prior to our wedding, I decided to email Stephen to ask when we could schedule it and to get some feedback on location ideas. It took two weeks to receive a response; he confirmed the date and time, but did not offer any insight on shooting locations or where we were to meet. The day before we were scheduled to shoot I sent another email listing the locations we wanted to shoot at. I received an email back saying that "most clients" only last 45 minutes in front of the lens. I got the feeling he was complaining about what we were requesting, despite having unlimited time and locations in our contract. And actually after we were done he made a snide comment about it being the last location. Really? It seemed like such a hassle just to schedule this engagement session and I felt like I had to continually reach out and almost hound Stephen. I don't think our engagement session would have even happened if I hadn't emailed him. Also, we were expecting to meet both of our photographers during this session, but we only had Stephen.

We were told during our initial meetings that we would be contacted at least a week before the wedding to finalize plans and get a shot list together. This did not happen. I had to reach out to LFP again.

One month before the wedding I snail-mailed our final payment, along with a copy of our day-of timeline. I received no confirmation of the receipt of the timeline, but our check sure got cashed!

Approximately two weeks before the wedding I emailed again a copy of the day-of timeline, contact info for our other vendors, addresses for our venues, the church rules, directions, map, a shot list and photos for inspiration of what we wanted, all in one pdf document. How could they go wrong? I sent them everything they needed!!!

Because we had two photographers we assumed we could have one with the guys getting ready and one with the girls getting ready (two different locations). The night before the wedding at 9pm I get a call from Stephen telling me that they only had one car and could only do getting ready photos at one location. Great. This tells me that LFP spent pretty much zero time reviewing our file and preparing for our event. Ok. Since the preparation pictures were really important to me, and not so much to hubs, we decided Stephen and Angela would come to the hotel where I was getting ready.

Fast forward. Day of the wedding. FIVE MINUTES before Stephen and Angela are scheduled to arrive, I get a call on my cell that they are stuck in traffic and are running late. (Mind you they were supposedly driving from their home in Scotts Valley to the Dream Inn - easily a 15 minute drive). They ended up being so late (over an hour), that we could not wait anymore and I had to get dressed (crying, because I had a deadbeat photog.) and get myself and my girls to the church. We called and told them to meet us at the church. I was still crying when we got to the church. Stephen and Angela apologized profusely when I first saw them. Then I started to get more upset because I was crying for all the wrong reasons!

After the ceremony, we came back inside for portraits. At this point Stephen says that he doesn't know what portraits we want because he never received a shot list!!! OMG! I was livid!!!! Yes, actually you did receive a shot list two weeks ago!

During the reception they offered us an extra photo session to make up for their mistake. We declined. We didn't want more photos.

The day after the wedding, my bridesmaids and a few guests told me that one of the church staff was reprimanding Stephen for walking around during our ceremony. Had they read the rules they would've known what was and wasn't allowed.

Two months after the wedding we received out photos on DVD. They were kind enough to give us all the unedited photos as well. We were not impressed with the post-processing of the photos; it does not appear that much time went into our photos. A lot of them were obviously over saturated. Faces were blatantly shiny and un-retouched. There was a photo of our rings on top of my bouquet, and the colors are so off that it makes the rings look like they are made out of yellow gold (they are tungsten-carbide and white gold). How can you mess up a picture of something that isn't even moving?

My goal with this review is to reveal the truth about the services rendered. Our wedding was August 2010 - I waited several months to write this to make sure I would be as objective as possible.
