I was very pleased with the number of dresses this store had in sizes over 6! While I only tried on one dress, they had many beautiful dresses, some I had never seen before even in magazines or on tv. The only issue I had was the terms of our payment weren't followed exactly as agreed upon, and I was told my dress would be in the last week of July, but when I called the 8th of August, the rep told me she couldn't find my order. It took my mother calling and speaking to the manager to find out my dress had been they're two week and was in the attic! Their customer service level DEFINETLY went down when I told them I would be doing my alterations elsewhere. The day I picked up my dress, I walked and had my dress bag practically shoved in my arms and was told "our first appointment is in ten minutes".. wow, they could have just said "here's your dress, now get lost". In short, the dresses are beautiful, they have sizes for everyone, but they are lacking in the customer service department.

The Santa Barbara State Street location of Panache Bridal is your "Say Yes to the Dress" salon moment, the salon itself is beautiful & they have a great selection of gowns. I booked an appointment with the intention of "only looking" but ended up falling in love with a dress & purchasing. My consultant Grace was wonderful & truly made it a great experience. The dresses were at the top end or above of my budget of $3k, but I found plenty of things to try on that I liked that were between $2k-$3k. I would definitely recommend paying a visit to Panache Bridal if you are in SB, they have a great selection & wonderful service.

I purchased my wedding dress from Panache Bridal, they were fabulous at getting me an appointment when I needed and taking all of my style opinions into consideration when I was trying on the various different dresses. They had a gorgeous selection to choose from and I loved the champagne toast when I made my purchase! I didn't use their seamstress since the dress already fit when I purchased it so I can't speak to that regard, but the girls were very sweet and accomodating with my pickiness when I was trying to find my dress.

I have mixed feelings about getting my dress from Panache Bridal. On the positive side, I found a beautiful dress for a good price since I bought it off the floor. I even received a free veil since I bought it the same day I tried it on. The sales team was lovely to work with, and they were very patient. I was able to tweak the dress to make it look exactly how I wanted.

The negative experiences I had occurred after I purchased the dress and accessories, and I was going through my fittings. Since it was a dress bought off the floor, I asked if they would clean the dress since the train was dusty. At first I was told no, the train will just get dirty anyway, nobody will notice. After disagreeing (between the dress, accessories, and alterations, I spent over $2000 for this dress to look perfect), I was told they would take care of any cleaning that needed to be done. Of course, when I picked up the dress, the train was not cleaned at all. The belt that goes along with it was a wrinkled mess since they let it sit crumpled on the bottom of my garment bag instead of hanging it properly.

The alterations were overpriced because they were not done very well, though the woman who does them is very sweet. My bustles were not placed in the right position, so people were tripping over my dress all night at the reception. It was no surprise that my dress ripped by the end of the night.

I went through this whole experience on my own since I just moved out to CA and wished I had a second pair of critical eyes to help me get over the glow of finding a wedding dress and get things done right.

This place has the potential to give you everything you want in your wedding dress for a good price, but you need to make sure you get what you want from them. You'd think a higher-end wedding dress salon would pay closer attention to keeping and selling their designer dresses in pristine condition.

Horrible, Horrible Horrible......don't get your wedding dress there!!!! They are very nice on the day you purchase your dress and then its all down hill!!!! They promised us that they could make the dress fit perfectly and after 4 fittings we took it to home to our own alterations specialist who said it had been butchered and had to practically remake the entire dress!!!! They add on for every little thing they do and are just in it to make a buck!!!! Should not be in business!!!

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at MaryLinn's (now Panache). With the help of their friendly staff, our daughter found a sample dress at their Black Friday sale that needed a few alterations to make it the perfect dress. The seamstress performed the alterations flawlessly (including 15 bustles). She and the dress were beautiful on her wedding day.

If you are budget conscious like we were, I recommend beginning your search early and finding a sample sale. We ended up spending more than we anticipated, but not by much and we were so happy with the results.

My first few experiences with MaryLinn's were less than recommendable. The consultants are definitely snooty and make the bride (AND any person who comes in with her) feel uninformed and unprepared, and that she is superior to them. BAD first impressions. I ended up falling in love with a dress in their "upper room" area where they keep all of the old dresses, so I bought from them and decided to just deal with it.

Their alterations department is very competent, but they don't really give you options, they just decide for you. I wasn't asked my opinion on the fact that she put cups in or that she rounded out the boobs, but I deferred to her and it turns out they were both definitely needed :). I chose the "style" of the bustle that she put in (american v. french) but had no say in how many points she'd put in or what shape it would be. That was a surprise. :-O (the bustle wasn't strong enough to last more than one dance either, which was a bummer).

I was kept waiting at least 15-20 minutes for all of my appointments, which was annoying. They also were pretty nickel-and-dimey, which was surprising for a salon of its caliber. Since when is steaming not included in the purchase price of a dress? All the wrinkles would have come from hanging in THEIR alterations department, after all... Yikes.

What WAS nice about Marylinns was that they came through when there were last-minute problems (the zipper popped and then wouldn't zip without splitting at my final fitting, and then split AGAIN after it had been replaced). They had a secondary alterations man who reinforced everything in one day and then they took care of the cleaning and steaming of the dress. I wasn't able to take my dress home until the night before the wedding, which was stressful, but it was flawless and I loved it :)

I purchased my dream gown (an Eve of Milady) from the Pasadena Marylinn's. The manager promised to give us free alterations, but we found out later that most changes you need to make to a wedding dress are not included in their definition of "alterations". To make matters worse, the seamstress (Suzy) ruined my satin train. She used safety pins to do the bustling instead of regular pins or chalk, which made about a hundred very obvious snags and holes. She charged me $120 to sew bra cups into the dress, but she used very cheap cups, like you would have inside of a bathing suit. One of the cups was even sticking out the side of the dress when I put in on! When she re-stitched the bodice of the dress, the seams did not match up, and there were bubbles in the fabric. She even used bright pink thread to sew on the straps of the dress!

Marylinns refused to fix any of their mistakes, and they told me that I was just being overly picky. They told me that all satin dresses have pin-pricks in them when they are bustled, which I know is not true. I had to spend another $500 to get my dress fixed the right way. After I took it to another store to have the stitching fixed, the bodice of the dress looked perfect. The seamstress said that she had never seen such horrible work done to a wedding dress. I am still battling Marylinn's to get my money back, but they don't seem to care that they ruined my dress, and I will probably have to take legal action.

Found the perfect dress off rack here for a very reduced price. Kimberly (the manager?) is awesome and makes you feel really great and is very helpful. Most of the women there seemed really nice and helpful and definetly know their stuff. Make sure to make an appointment though!

Marylinn's Bridal was the first bridal store I went to and I found my dream dress during my first visit. I went with the 1995 Casablanca in ivory. It was beautiful. I purchased the first day. I paid about $1400. I went home and did some research and I realized that ladies in other places had paid as low as $800 for the same dress. I felt ripped off. But I loved the dress and it was too late.

When I purchased the dress the "hem" was included and that was $200 worth. However, when I went for my first fitting, I didn't realize how much the other alterations would cost! I ended up paying about $500 in alterations -- sewn in cups, side seam (since I had lost about 15 pounds), and a bustle.

I didn't mind paying the money -- but none of the alterations occurred until what was supposed to be my "final dress fitting." They had scheduled me for 3 fittings total, and it was not until the final dress fitting that any of the alterations had been completed. I had to drive about 1.5 hours to get there!! This was very frustrating for me.

Additionally, during my final dress fitting, I refused to leave the store without my dress. The seamstress (a nice old lady) had to alter the hem, because it was still about 2 inches longer than necessary and she accused me of changing my shoes (which I had not). To make matters worse -- she butchered my dress. I had a mermaid dress with a lace overlay. In order for her to do the hem quickly, she folded the excess 2 inches at the bottom of the knee and sewed it. She didn't even bother cutting the excess material. When I arrived at home, I tried the dress on and there was a HUGE bump at the knees. My grandmother had to fix the hem and the bump, because I was in tears. To make matters worse, the bra cups fell out! The seamstress had only put about 3 stitches on each bra cup. I ended up not even wearing them (although I had paid $65 for them to be "sewn" in).

The bustle was a disaster! It was horrific! I was charged about $25 per button and she put way to many buttons on! The bustle took 4 people about 20 minutes to figure out on the day of the wedding. Bustles are supposed to be easy -- it should take less than 5 minutes. I forget the name of the bustle -- but whatever it is -- don't do it.

I would recommend Marylinn's for purchasing your dress! They have great choices -- however, make sure you do some research before you overpay.

Additionally -- absolutely do not use their alterations services -- unless they are simple.

Good luck brides!
