My son and daughter in law were married at Mission Inn two weeks ago and it was fabulous! We are all from out of state and had to rely on pictures and phone calls to plan everything. Katie Jimenez from Mission Inn was our contact and took such great care of us! She was always easy to reach when we had questions and gave us all the time we needed to help us every step of the way. Mission Inn provided every assistance and we found the resort to be even more beautiful in person than in the awesome photographs we'd viewed online. This wonderful place is now a personal, treasured spot to our whole family where we will want to return again and again. Katie Jimenez and the entire staff made this special day just perfect for us. My husband and I could not say enough great things about our wedding at Mission Inn. We had an intimate wedding on a weekday and never did we feel that we weren't just as important and special as a large wedding. The staff was friendly, professional and made our day as stress free as possible. From the first visit to Mission Inn where we met Shannon and Stephanie we knew we Mission Inn would be our venue. Stephanie was so great throughout the entire process and even made my husband want to be part of the planning. On our special day never once were either of us worried that everything wouldn't be great. The food is fabulous the grounds are immaculate and having the hotel and restaurants right on property couldn't be more convenient. I don't know where to begin-everything about our wedding at Mission Inn was PERFECT!

We lost our original venue in an unfortunate and ongoing situation, but the amazing wedding coordinators at Mission Inn were there to step in right away and in short notice.
The staff and customer service are truly second to none-everyone from the banquet staff to Stephanie, our wedding coordinator, made sure that our day went smoothly and perfectly (I was a no stress bride on my wedding day).
The only word I can describe about the venue-breathtaking. We had our ceremony/reception at the marina and I assure you, we did not have a single bad photo. There are several options for set up as to what you have in mind for your perfect day and it is all in one place which makes everything easier for guests.
The food was impeccable, it was really hard to narrow the choices down. We had a wedding full of athletes, and not one walked away hungry.
If you are looking for the perfect venue, staff, accommodations, and overall value, I highly recommend Mission Inn Resort!

My experience with mission inn was in one word FLAWLESS.
From the chaotic week before the wedding, switching seating arrangments a thousand times, even when the photographer I booked backed out on me the month before the wedding they found me a photographer on their preferred vendor list that same day. Shannon and Katie were my life savers. They made sure the room was set up to perfection and even made sure that my bustle to my dress was hooked up properly for the reception. They made my day a perfect fairy tale day.

If this sounds like your kind of venue then you are looking in the right place. I chose Mission Inn for my wedding because they made getting married easy. I could decorate to the extreme if I wanted, but I instead used the beautiful decor Mission Inn naturally has. The staff is unbelievable helpful which can be a big deal for a stressful bride. Katie was wonderful with her emergency care items. I feel like I didn’t need to worry at all in her hands. Even down to the wait staff that made the perfect package complete with obvious professionalism and positive attitudes. I couldn’t have been happier if I'd tripled the money I spent. They have rooms on site and help you find qualified venues to accentuate your wedding dream. Mission Inn hosts multiple events. We were first introduced during their Festival of Speed, we were married a month ago here, and we're spending our family vacation here this year. It will be a place I’ll bring my children one day as Mission Inn has become a family favorite. Even weeks later our guests still talk about our wedding and exclaim “How did you find that place, it was beautiful”. I can boast that if I need a function, I know the great staff at Mission Inn would have me covered there too. (I've seen some of their set-ups) For the big, for the small, and everything between you won't find a better venue.

Mission Inn was a dream place to have our wedding! The resort is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We had Stephanie as our coordinator and she was so helpful throughout the planning process and especially on the day of our wedding. She put out all of our decorations for us, coordinated with our vendors, and so much more. It was wonderful not having to worry about anything!! The reception staff was also outstanding. They were very friendly, helpful and made sure my husband and I always had everything we needed. This is the kind of place where you feel like family, even after the wedding is over. We had Stephanie as our coordinator and she was so helpful throughout the planning process and especially on the day of our wedding. My husband and I highly recommend Mission Inn Resort and Club for your wedding ceremony and reception. We knew it was perfect the first time we saw it. We were looking for a venue with a hotel on site (for many out of town relatives), but did not want something with the hotel/convention center feel of many hotels in the Orlando area. We were worried that anything with a hotel would mean interruptions during the ceremony or cocktail hour from other hotel guests. As soon as we toured Mission Inn, we knew this would not be the case. All the ceremony locations are tucked away and very private. In fact, we had a hard time choosing from the three different locations. After a couple visits and some back and forth decision making, we chose Plaza de la Fontana, Plaza de las Palmas and La Hacienda for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, respectively.

From start to finish, our time spent with Mission Inn was nothing short of perfect! Working with Shannon and Katie was absolutely wonderful. They made everything so easy and were always incredibly fast when responding to phone calls and emails. Through our package we were provided with a day of coordinator as well, Abbey. She was amazing and made sure that our day ran perfectly. We spent our entire wedding weekend at Mission Inn with our families staying at the resort, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding of course, and post reception and next day brunch meals on property. Our families had a wonderful time and were constantly talking about how beautiful the resort and the ceremony site were.

It was an absolutely perfect stress free day that was flawlessly executed by both Katie and Abbey. I wish that I could married again just so I could work with them again. They were so supportive and even danced and made jokes so I wouldn't cry too hard down the aisle, happy tears of course :).

This is such a beautiful venue for a wedding and I'm so happy that I had my wedding here. Our Day went smoothly and was amazing from start to finish! Ms. Shannon and Ms. Katie were both extremely helpful and understanding throughout the entire planning process. I grew up down the road from the Mission Inn. I went to Sunday brunch there often as I was growing up. When I was looking for a venue for my wedding, the Mission Inn is the last place I considered, it was just too familiar for me. At a bridal show I met one of the wedding even coordinators there, and we spoke about what a beautiful place it is, and how lovely it is, but I told her I honestly didn't think it was for my wedding. She said she understood that thinking, but that I should come look around with the fresh eyes of a bride.....boy am I glad I did!!!
The Mission Inn was the perfect place for my wedding, it is beautiful, with immaculate landscaping and architechture. The MOST wonderful thing about having a wedding there, is that it is really a blank canvas. Anything you envision for you wedding, becomes reality when you book here and work with the coordinators. They will do ANYTHING to make your vision a reality.
My husband's family stayed at the Resort for the week of the wedding, and it was wonderful because it helped to prolong the experience. We had breakfast the morning of and after the wedding...that added a fairytale like quality to the wedding. At breakfast there was no sign anything special was happening, but as the day progressed they set up...I was getting ready and saw nothing until I was walking down the aisle. It took my breath away. Magical Wedding Elves came and made all my dreams come true....and absolutely NO headache on my part.
That is just a small taste of the absolute JOY I experienced with the Mission Inn, but each person I interacted with, the food, the vendors suggested to me by the Mission Inn, everything was absolutely spectacular. I highly recommend them for your wedding.

My dad actually ran across Mission Inn while we were venue hunting last year for my wedding. The pictures were beautiful and I instantly fell in love with Mission Inn! I fell so much in love that we booked it without even seeing it in person. The wedding sales specialist Shannon really put my mind at ease and I knew we made the right decision! When we finally got a chance to go visit the pictures didn't do it justice! The resort is amazing and gorgeous!! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful and helped me even though I was planning our wedding from far away! When it came time for our wedding it turned out perfect despite a few small bumps it was gorgeous and everyone had a great time! My favorite part about having it at Mission Inn was that it is so secluded from Orlando that all guests were coming out of town and we really had a whole wedding weekend!! I really felt at home at Mission Inn and now I feel part of the Mission Inn family! My ceremony and reception were in late June on a Sunday (brunch) on the Legends side of the Mission Inn Resort. I can't think of a single thing that went wrong on our big day. Kitchen staff made good suggestions and were very flexible with the few changes we requested on tasting day regarding the menu. On the day of the event the maitre d' greeted us before we entered the reception hall letting us know he would make sure everything was perfect. It was. Guests have reported that it was the BEST wedding food they have ever eaten. All of our belongings (decor, etc.) was carefully kept track of and returned. There was one and only MINOR thing that impacted our photographs: The bridal ready room is a non-decorated resort room, which was also used during the ceremony and reception for childcare. First let me say that I have been needing to review this amazing location for almost a year now. Mission Inn is without a doubt a perfect wedding venue. It offers everything that you and your guests could want or need. More importantly the staff is fantastic and take care of every need. Shannon and Katie are fabulous, professional and while I know there job isn't always easy they do an amazing job at making it look effortless! They were there every step of the way to help us plan and make every detail perfect. I couldn't have done it without them. Most importantly our guests still rave about the accommodations, food and service even a year later!! The grounds made the most beautiful backdrop for pictures and videos, the accommodations are convenient for guests and bridal party, and the historic feel makes it seem like you are far away from everything. First let me say that I have been needing to review this amazing location for almost a year now. Mission Inn is without a doubt a perfect wedding venue. It offers everything that you and your guests could want or need. More importantly the staff is fantastic and take care of every need. Shannon and Katie are fabulous, professional and while I know there job isn't always easy they do an amazing job at making it look effortless! They were there every step of the way to help us plan and make every detail perfect. I couldn't have done it without them. Most importantly our guests still rave about the accommodations, food and service even a year later!! The grounds made the most beautiful backdrop for pictures and videos, the accommodations are convenient for guests and bridal party, and the historic feel makes it seem like you are far away from everything. Oh my....where to start?! Simply put, the Mission Inn gave us the wedding of our dreams. When we pulled up to the grandeur gates overlooking two championship golf courses and a jaw-dropping landscape, we knew the Mission Inn was the place for us. As if the Spanish-style architecture and stunning location weren't enough, the option to choose from multiple ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception locations allowed us to personalize our wedding and truly tailor it to our hearts' desires. Then there were the picture-perfect locations for our formal wedding photos-words can't explain how beautiful and romantic the photography opportunities were.
Besides the unique beauty of the Mission Inn, however, a particular part of the wedding process made our wedding at the Mission Inn absolutely perfect-the staff. The fun started with the food tasting. We had a very elegant dining experience with the chef (a great guy), who explained every appetizer, salad, entree, and desert thoroughly, and was amazing at offering suggestions and being flexible with our requests. The catering staff and housekeepers were all overly nice and accommodating, and the honeymoon suite we had for the wedding weekend was amazing (I worked at a four diamond hotel for quite some time, so I have credibility when I say this)!
With all of this being said, I must end by saying that our wedding would not have been possible without Katie Jimenez, the wedding planner/coordinator for the Mission Inn. Not only is she incredibly funny and resourceful, but she made sure everything went according to plan, and when everyone else was stressed, she was there to remove stains and deliver mimosas! She was our savior every step of the way, especially when I wanted to surprise my husband-to-be with a piglet in the wedding. Mission Inn was incredible!!! First and foremost, my original wedding date was supposed to be 12/13/13. We had a signed contract and deposit down on that date. However, my wife and I are now expecting a child, and Mission Inn was extremely understanding in allowing us to change dates, without being penalized. This took a ton of stress of of our plate, and really made us feel like they cared about us and our special day.

The other challenged my wife and i faced was the fact that everyone of our guest were travelling a great distance to attend the wedding. Because of this we felt a strong need to provide more than just a one day event. Our wedding party ended up arriving Thursday before our Sunday event and everyone had an amazing time. My groomsmen played, golf, and went skeet shooting, while their wives and our bridesmaids relaxed by the pool and went to the spa. We ate every meal at the hotel, and everyone raved about how amazing all of the food was.

We had a block of rooms, so the prices were very affordable, and everyone mentioned how clean and nice the hotel rooms were. The honeymoon suite (i should say palace) was incredible and my pregnant wife certainly appreciated the spa/tub that the room had.

The ceremony itself was at outside located between the pool hall and buffet restaurant, and it couldn't have been more beautiful. I cant wait to see the photos!!

We also had a few small children with us, and the hotel was really kid friendly. There is a small playground, and shuffleboard courts which kept them amused and entertained. One of my friends even extended his stay and drove to Disney and Universal two of the days. The hotel was just shy of an hour away so it worked out well.

Overall the event truly could not have gone any better, my wife and I are already planning our 1 year anniversary back there.

WOW! What an amazing wedding! Our night was absolutely PERFECT.

A few weeks before the wedding we got a different wedding coordinator, Katie. I was worried seeing as this transition took place just before the wedding, but she did an awesome job! A few days before the big day, I dropped off my menu's, candy buffet items, and table names. She did a great job helping us unload and did an even better job setting up the room for the reception.

The food was amazing also. We got so many comments from our guests on how delicious everything was. The food staff was so attentive and made sure everyone had what they needed.

The venue couldn't have been more perfect. At first we wanted to get married at the beach or in Downtown Orlando but I am so glad we went with the Mission Inn! The rolling hills, ponds, and beautiful golf course was the perfect backdrop for our pictures.

The hotel was also great. Most of our guests stayed at The Mission Inn and had wonderful things to say of the rooms and pool.

My husband played golf the morning of the wedding and he had only great things to say.

All in all everything was awesome. I have nothing negative to say about the Mission Inn or the staff. Shout out to Katie for doing such an amazing job and making all my wedding dreams come true!

Both Shannon and Tammy were great to work woth. Tammy was our coordinator and she did not miss a beat! Everytime I needed something her respose was "I got it!" I came down from my room 30 minutes before the ceremony and Tammy gave me a quick tour of the reception and everthing was exactly as I had requested. Not one detail was missed. It was pouring rain the day of our wedding and Tammy knew how badly I wanted and outdoor wedding. 40 minutes before my ceremony start time, the sun came out and right away Tammy had our ceremony moved back outside. Our guests have not stopping talking about our wedding and how amazing everything was. The setting, the decor and especially the food! It was the best filet and grouper any of us had ever tasted. The staff was extemely attentive and courteous. If you looking for a beautiful location and excellant service, Mission Inn will blow you away!

My wedding day could not have been more perfect thanks to the great team that worked with me from start to finish. My fiancee proposed to me in our hotel room at The Mission Inn on December 15, 2011, and due to the sentimental value, we decided to do our wedding here. First off—let me say that this location is AMAZING in general. Just the scenery and the downtown area across the street is enough to make you go “WOW!” at it's beauty. We were lucky enough to be there on vacation during the Festival of Lights, where the Mission Inn is completely decked out in Christmas decor and lights. The rooms are majestic in themselves. If you haven't been there yet, it is definitely worth a couple night stay. First off—let me say that this location is AMAZING in general. Just the scenery and the downtown area across the street is enough to make you go “WOW!” at it's beauty. I love the fact that once you walk through the door towards the pool area everything is so calm and relaxing. The stresses of everyday life go away while you are there. The view is beautiful. You get the feeling of being in a secluded resort on a remote island somewhere.

I don't even know where to begin with my review. My wedding was absolutely PERFECT and I owe much of that to the staff at Mission Inn, particularly Tammy Witeck and Elisa from A Flair for Affairs. Tammy was with me from the very beginning providing advice or asking if there was any way that she could help with my planning. I love that I was able to hand over all of our wedding stuff to her and she just made it happen. Elisa also made sure that the ceremony and reception went smoothly I could tell that she could do this with her eyes closed she's such an expert. These two work so well together. I literally didn't have to worry about a thing. Any problems that may have arisen during the day (a huge rain storm coming our way, my overly complicated bustle), they worked it out between the two of them and didn't bother me with the issue at all. In addition to having these two to work with, I was also impressed by the food. I still dream about the salmon frommage that my groom had as his entree. I had the chicken fontana which was also quite good. I was worried about our food being dried out or not seasoned well as frequently happens with banquet food, but that turned out not to be a problem at all. It was as if each of us had ordered off of the restaurant menu and it was prepared just then for us. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and we and our guests were treated cordially by all of the staff. Howey-in-the-Hills is a ways outside of Orlando and there isn't much to do out there, but it was definitely worth it to have the wedding of our dreams -- and at what we perceive to be a reasonable price.

We could not have been happier with everything the Mission Inn did to accommodate us in making our daughter’s day so wonderful! From Tammy and Carlos to the Chef and all of the excellent cook and wait staff, we found people who cared deeply and wanted to make this day memorable.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect; and the reception was awesome, festive, and celebratory. We had so many compliments on the food and how delicious it was. Plus, our service during the cocktail hour and reception was exceptional! Kudos to all involved.

We would also like to thank all of the front desk staff who took care of distributing the “Welcome Bags” and making certain that all of our out-of-town guests were so well taken care of while they were at the resort. Again, we have heard rave reviews from all of those who spent time on the grounds.

I highly recommend Mission Inn Resort for BOTH ceremony and reception. I was so impressed with the help and the attentiveness that EVERYONE at the Mission Inn gave to me. I literally felt like the princess of the day! Even people that I had not worked with directly if they were there they helped. Everyone that I have talked to still talks about how beautiful the wedding and reception were. My mother is still talking about how ALL the people there were SUPER nice, went out of their way to do whatever needed to be done! Words cannot describe just how happy I was and still am with the decision we made to have our wedding and reception there. I know they say no wedding runs perfect, well I am here to tell you that as far as I knew the day of my wedding EVERYTHING was running perfect, if it wasn't I never knew about it. They also give you your own personal coordinator...She was awesome! It was an absolute pleasure having my wedding at the Mission Inn. Katie Jimenez was always very prompt and helpful in her responses, we communicated mainly through email. The honeymoon suite was an immaculately clean room, very spacious, more toiletries than two could need, and had a beautiful view, with an osprey landing in full view. We were lucky enough to see the mother bringing back food and feeding her fledgelings, it was incredible. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, minimizing the amount of decorating needed. Since I did my own floral centerpieces and pomander chair decorations, Katie and her team were very generous in putting them in place for me, and even finding nice places to display my handmade pomanders in the reception space after the ceremony. The serving staff was very efficient and professional, and provided excellent service. We are very happy with our recent wedding at Mission Inn. We chose this venue because we had a lot of family and friends coming from out of town so we wanted somewhere we could spend our wedding weekend together. Even when it is nearly sold out the resort doesn’t feel crowded. We were also attracted to Mission Inn because they offer a lot of amenities for guests who stayed during the weekend with us including tennis, pool, spa, volleyball, trap and skeet shooting, boat rentals, etc. My family rented the penthouse suite for the weekend which helped to keep everyone together to have a great time. We had our rehearsal dinner at their Nicker’s restaurant during the Saturday night seafood buffet which was delicious. Katie was simply amazing to work with! She is extremely organized, responds to emails quickly, helped with other vendor recommendations, and has a fun personality. She stayed until the reception to make sure everything was going smoothly and really goes above and beyond to make sure her brides are happy. The only thing we weren't too impressed with was our honeymoon suite, which ended up being just a regular room that other guests received as well, but they did provide a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries when we got back from the reception which was sweet.

I truly can not say enough about the incredible staff and stunning grounds at the Mission Inn. My husband and I wanted to have a small ceremony in Italy, but both sets of parents wanted us to have a wedding here. We both have huge families and didn't want a wedding at a regular hotel banquet hall. We looked at several places that could seat over 220 people, but didn't really love any of them, until we saw the Mission. We went there for brunch one Sunday to check the place out, once we drove up I knew this was the place! We had a wonderful brunch (all the food was incredible) and walked around the stunning grounds. I fell in love with old "Spanish-style" architecture and the beautiful rolling hills of the golf course. It is such a unique and charming venue, with the best staff in the world to compliment it. We met with Morgan Beucher, the events coordinator to discuss our needs and hear about the packages they offer. Morgan is extremely bright and professional and knows everything about how to take care of customers and throw a great party. Their prices are very reasonable and they are extremely flexible when it comes to customizing your event so you get what you want for a fair price. Then we started working with their wedding coordinator, Tammy Witeck who is a master at all things wedding!! I can not say enough about her talents and professionalism. She is truly incredible and I loved working with her. I am not good at the details and Tammy was there for me every step of the way helping with anything and everything she could. She alleviated so much stress off of me by getting quotes on table linens, draping, chair covers, pretty much anything I asked her she would do willingly. SHe has incredible taste and great ideas and helped me plan every detail of my day. I would even call her to get her opinion on the quotes i got from vendors in order to see of I was getting a good deal. On the day of she was made sure everything went smoothly, and everything was set up and done properly. I have never seen someone so "on top" on their game. She is simply incredible, and I loved working with her. THE FOOD! Oh the food! Every single person who attended our wedding said 2 things, how beautiful the Mission was and how incredible the food was! It was by far the best wedding food anyone has ever had, and I second that. The staff who prepares and serves the food is equally as wonderful. We met the chef the day of the tasting and he came out after dinner was served, I thought that was very impressive. We also were on first name basis's with several of the staff members. They are all such nice people, that just added to our special day. The Mission was also very fair on prices for the rooms for our guests and Vickie who handles all of that could not have been more accommodating. They printed up map/directions inserts for our invitations, which I thought was so nice. Vickie would also send my Dad weekly printed updates of who booked rooms as we got closer to the day. Everyone that came to our wedding has been raving about it since. The guys loved the golf course and said it was one of the best courses they have ever played. Other guests (especially the ones from up North) loved the weather and just relaxing by the pool. We made a weekend out of our wedding since we also held the rehearsal dinner across the street at their lake pavilion, which again was magnificent! I truly can not say enough about the incredible staff and stunning grounds at the Mission Inn. My husband and I wanted to have a small ceremony in Italy, but both sets of parents wanted us to have a wedding here. We both have huge families and didn't want a wedding at a regular hotel banquet hall. We looked at several places that could seat over 220 people, but didn't really love any of them, until we saw the Mission. We went there for brunch one Sunday to check the place out, once we drove up I knew this was the place! We had a wonderful brunch (all the food was incredible) and walked around the stunning grounds. I fell in love with old "Spanish-style" architecture and the beautiful rolling hills of the golf course. It is such a unique and charming venue, with the best staff in the world to compliment it. We met with Morgan Beucher, the events coordinator to discuss our needs and hear about the packages they offer. Morgan is extremely bright and professional and knows everything about how to take care of customers and throw a great party. Their prices are very reasonable and they are extremely flexible when it comes to customizing your event so you get what you want for a fair price. Then we started working with their wedding coordinator, Tammy Witeck who is a master at all things wedding!! I can not say enough about her talents and professionalism. She is truly incredible and I loved working with her. I am not good at the details and Tammy was there for me every step of the way helping with anything and everything she could. She alleviated so much stress off of me by getting quotes on table linens, draping, chair covers, pretty much anything I asked her she would do willingly. SHe has incredible taste and great ideas and helped me plan every detail of my day. I would even call her to get her opinion on the quotes i got from vendors in order to see of I was getting a good deal. On the day of she was made sure everything went smoothly, and everything was set up and done properly. I have never seen someone so "on top" on their game. She is simply incredible, and I loved working with her. THE FOOD! Oh the food! Every single person who attended our wedding said 2 things, how beautiful the Mission was and how incredible the food was! It was by far the best wedding food anyone has ever had, and I second that. The staff who prepares and serves the food is equally as wonderful. We met the chef the day of the tasting and he came out after dinner was served, I thought that was very impressive. We also were on first name basis's with several of the staff members. They are all such nice people, that just added to our special day. The Mission was also very fair on prices for the rooms for our guests and Vickie who handles all of that could not have been more accommodating. They printed up map/directions inserts for our invitations, which I thought was so nice. Vickie would also send my Dad weekly printed updates of who booked rooms as we got closer to the day. Everyone that came to our wedding has been raving about it since. The guys loved the golf course and said it was one of the best courses they have ever played. Other guests (especially the ones from up North) loved the weather and just relaxing by the pool. We made a weekend out of our wedding since we also held the rehearsal dinner across the street at their lake pavilion, which again was magnificent! As mother of the bride, I was given a very short time frame to make arrangements for my daughter's wedding. Having it at Mission Inn made it possible to do that since they took care of pretty much everything except a few outside vendors. Beautiful place for wedding and reception. Very nice that it is almost all inclusive, or rather they provide most of the services. They will handle ceremony, reception site (many to choose from) as well as rehearsal dinner and hotel accomodations. Lots of people catered to helping you. We recently got married here and the venue is stunning, although we did have a slight rain delay everything turned out beautiful. The food was great, we did buffet style, and all our guests commented on how good it was. Tammy was very helpful throughout my planning process and executing everything like I wanted. There was a little confusion of directing guests where to go when the cocktail hour got rained out. And at the end of the night the Mission Inn staff was not very helpful in clean up and we had a few guests tell us they left their cards on the table and they were never found. We are skeptical that the wait staff took them and were told at a previous meeting by the Mission Inns' own employee to be cautious the day of our wedding. That was about the only downfall. Everything was beautiful and we look forward to more memories in the years to come at the resort.

The planning process got a little hairy. They changed management in the middle of our wedding planning so we had to pull out our copy of the original contract to ensure we got everything we were contracted for.

My husband and I don't drink alcohol so we requested non-alcoholic beverages for our toast and for our honeymoon sweet instead of wine. They were great at accommodating us.

One issue I ran into was how to accommodate vegetarians. We were told during our tasting not to worry about how many or who was vegetarian because "they would speak up for themselves". So we didn't worry about it, although I was very worried about it. The week of our wedding, I received a phone call asking to give a specific number of vegetarians. I had no idea! I was quite upset about this as I had addressed this issue back in our tasting.

I felt like I was another wedding to be had on our wedding weekend. We had booked with them back at the first of the year (we got married 10/28/12) for a Sunday wedding, with a rehearsal to take place the day before, on Saturday. Another wedding had booked on that Saturday and we were asked to rehearse in a completely different place (their wedding was going on nearby our rehearsal site) on the property to which I refused, then were asked to do the rehearsal on that Friday prior!! I was like,"are you kidding me??". I felt like the wedding that booked for Saturday was more important than ours since they had 300+ guests which meant more money being spent.

THE GOOD:

The day of our wedding ran pretty smoothly. They accommodated our idea to block off the main aisle I was to walk down. They allowed my dad to bring his own stakes to place in the ground for part of our props. The food was awesome and the waiting staff was friendly. Tammy, the coordinator for Mission Inn was checking in with us to see if we needed anything.

Overall, the day was amazing. The planning was the nightmare.

I waited until awhile after the wedding to post my review of Mission Inn so that it would be as straightforward as possible and give me time to reflect on their service. I can honestly say now that Mission Inn is not the place I would have had my wedding if I knew what I was getting into. Many things went wrong with the wedding from the room reservations being scattered to the front desk not even knowing what room I was in for the wedding. The makeup lady was late because of this and there was not enough time to do my hair . The shuttle guy was not ready to pick us up and then the wedding party had walk through the hotel to the front to get the shuttle. The cocktail hour our guests did not even see because there was no announcement as to where it was . There was also no shuttle to the cocktail reception. Guests had to check out of their hotels in the middle of the reception which really upset me because I wanted dancing and fun.
We ordered the cake from Publix and apparently someone, either Publix or Mission Inn dropped it. It was frustrating that no one wanted to take responsibility for dropping it afterward. I see some great remarks for Tammy on here, but honestly to me she was no that nice at times and really did not seem like she was focused on one thing. There were other brides that day and you just felt like one of many and it was not customized. Mission Inn blamed us for not having the right planner as there is one they usually ask the bride to get, but we were not told about that until after our wedding. We paid for a 4 hour reception that lasted maybe 3 hour and then people were checking out of the room and Mission Inn did not even see this as a problem, which should have been a consideration with an afternoon reception. I was surprised that for a place that does so many weddings there was such a lack of organization and attention. Tammy came to me during my wedding with problems which is really not what you want on your day.

We would have saved a lot of stress by having our wedding somewhere we felt actually took care of everything. From the beginning, we signed the contract and we were told the time of the reception changed because of another event and the save the date had the wrong day. I did not think it would be anything. lol

I do want to say I am so glad I married my husband and our ceremony and vows were very special to me.

After the wedding, we had many long talks with them and I told them I would not post a review until they had the chance to reconcile everything. It took over a month for them to review and figure out what happened in 1 day, and then they offered us a minor portion of our money back. It was not about the money, it was that we felt we did not get what we paid for and that I had worked so hard to plan this one day that did not go according to it. There is no price for memories. We tried to work it out until we were satisfied by asking for reasonable charges back including the cocktail hour no one ate food at, but they declined that. Even though we were not satisfied they said they would refund a certain amount of money and they did not even get the refund right. They returned less money than they said they would and agreed to. Also, they were going to look at other charges, but we did not hear back on that from them. It was exhausting to deal with them. We only feel bad about this negative review for Morgan because is the best person to deal with there who actually listens to your concern and I could tell genuinely cared, but she had no say in a refund. Other than that, it did not seem to matter about any of the details that were important to us including a quick, concise, professional answer to our issues with satisfying result for everyone involved.
