Mneme (say "knee me") Productions was formed to provide high quality and high definition wedding and event videography services to Southern California with a focus on the human side of your event. Our "home base" in Central Orange County allows us to have the whole region within easy reach. If you are in any of the Southland counties, we can shoot your wedding. Even if you aren't in the area, contact us, and we'll try to be there for you too.

To the ancient Greeks, Mneme was the personification of memory. They believed that as a muse she was responsible for inspiring the memories of the storytellers and historians of the age. We would like our work on your wedding to do the same for you

You put so much thought and time into planning your wedding, then in a thrilling, but all too brief time it will be done. Some of your memories will never fade, but the day can be such a blur you'll wonder where it went. Let Mneme Productions help you document your event, and to be your muse when the time comes to remember your day. Read less

What primary style do you identify with?
Cinematic, Documentary, Short Form, Storytelling, Traditional
What do your packages include?
Ceremony, DVD of Raw Footage, Edited Video, High Definition Video, Montage - Childhood / Dating, Montage - Music Dubbed Over, Montage - Wedding Highlights, Multiple Cameras, Multiple Videographers, Online Highlight Films, Pre-Ceremony, Reception, Rehearsal Dinner
What formats can the final video be in?
Blu-Ray, DVD
Do you have liability insurance?
Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
We are a small, home-based business. On the day of your event you are our only focus
Do you offer demo DVDs for potential clients to look at?
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
We work to give you whatever it is you'd like to have as a record of your wedding day. You may order the raw footage, just highlights, or anything in between. If you can think of it, we can probably make it happen.
Describe any special editing services you offer:
Love story montage, honeymoon video/picture editing.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
Yes, though you should know that many churches frown on the use of video lights, and frankly so do I. They can certainly take away from the solemnity of your ceremony. My cameras, however, are more than up to the task of low lighting in a church.
During the ceremony, we have plenty of lighting to make sure the event is captured thoroughly.
How many videographers do you work with?
One to three, depending on your needs. I recommend two for the ceremony, but one is plenty at the reception.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
I prefer to meet with clients beforehand, so I get a feel for who they are and what they want their finished product to look like.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, we only book one event in a day, though it is possible that we are booked both days of a weekend.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
1-2 HD Video cameras (Panasonic HVX-200), wireless lavalier microphone system, lighting, and lots of batteries and memory cards.
Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, you never know what will happen.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I don't require a meal break, but most people don't want to be videotaped with a mouthful of food, so I will generally slip in a quick break at that point.
Do you charge overtime?
Yes, on packages that have a preset time there is an overtime charge of $150 per hour per videographer. Pre-arranged overtime will be built into the package at a lower rate.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Raw footage is available for an additional fee.
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?
The client has full rights to use the footage in any way they see fit. They may duplicate, post online, or anything else. I still hold the copyright and reserve the right to use the video for promotional purposes (e.g., samples online and in DVD form).
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
I am always willing to hear input from the client on the style of editing they want. Music suggestions for montages are also more than welcome.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
6-8 weeks. Video editing is a tedious process. A conservative estimate for figuring time to edit is one hour for each minute of video you end up seeing on the screen. More complicated edits can easily double that estimate.
Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?
No. My entry package starts at 4 hours, but if your needs are different, we can certainly work something out.
