BRIDES BEWARE!!! Be cautious of this business. I ordered a dress with Karla (the owner) this PAST NOVEMBER (as in last year) put down more than the required 20% deposits gave all the information dress style, visuals and she even took my measurement...and today, May 13...I have yet to attend a fitting appointment., knowing very well I need before Sat May 23. I've made multiple appointments and either Karla completely flake out or doesn't show up (and doesn't bother to let me know) so I drive more than 30 miles to see that her store is closed and she isn't there. I don't even know if my dress is done. Karla is also doing my sister quince pillow and doll and she is aware the quince is Sat May 23 and we have yet to hear from her. We have done all in our power as behalf as a customer to reach out and work it out but she doesn't return phone calls, and gives excuse after excuse. She clearly doesn't value our business nor prioritizes it. She is also doing my wedding bridesmaid dresses and I was considering to use her for my wedding dress but after this nightmare of an experience I can't jeopardize the best day of my life for her unprofessionalism. I'm so embarrassed that I referred my friends, family and bridesmaid to her business...hopefully they learn how to value a loyal customers and their business. Hopefully after this review she is call me back... With a refund of my deposit or at least an confirm appointment for a fitting where she actually shows up. Brides beware!!!!

Working with this vendor was a DISASTER!!! I dealt with Karla, the owner, out of her Oxnard store.

Though she eventually came through with the services she promised, the stress she caused, was not worth it!

When she made the sale, she was a pleasure to work with.

Once she made the sale and we paid her in full (non-refundable because it was a custom order) she treated us as though we needed her and therefore we had to put up with what ever she dished out.

I lied and gave her an event date of 2/16/08 when our event was really 3/7/08. I did this on purpose because I did not want the stress during the last week.

Yeah well, she got wind of our actual event date and we finally got all our items the night before! When I told her that she caused too much unnecessay stress...her answer was "I've been in business for over 18 years and I have never had an event where they didn't have everything they needed the moring of the event". In other words, you finally got what you needed, so don't complain. My point was that I gave her an event date of 2/16/08 FOR A REASON!!!!

All I can say is proceed with caution!!!! She is very sweet when making the sale....you see her other side once you give her your money!

I ordered my wedding dress from this shop well over a year in advance, which was January 2007; my wedding was in March 2008. They let me know in June that the dress was received and was in storage. They said there's no need to come try it on until closer to the wedding. My sisters live in NY & Berkeley; we all came home for Thanksgiving. I made an appointment to see and try on my dress and to order the bridesmaid dresses. When we got there - there was no dress. They said they ordered it from there storage site and were just waiting on UPS. Since I had moved to Sacramento and my sisters didn't live near the shop, we decided to wait for the dress. Eight hours later and still we had no dress. I made another appointment for January 2008, this time we waited for 6 hours and were told by the owner that she had seen the dress w/her own two eyes so she knew it was there somewhere, however couldn't find it on the day we had an appointment.

Needless to say the dress never showed up. Karla (the owner) refused to reimburse my mother for the dress. Finally a few weeks before the wedding my mother got her money back and was told that there was some error made. She was never clear w/the details and never admitted fault.

Six weeks before my wedding I went to David's bridal in Roseville CA - and choose my wedding dress - by myself, since I don't have family up here and was new to the area. David's bridal was GREAT! They treated my like family and helped me choose a wonderful/beautiful wedding dress.

Back to Morici's bridal. We had already ordered the bridesmaid dresses, before my whole dress debacle, so we were still stuck working w/them. Thankfully these dresses arrived when promised. Only thing is that we ordered & purchased Jasmine bridal dresses and when we received the dresses, it was clear they had been made (poorly) by the dress shop. They had no boning in the bodice and had a "Morici Bridal" tag sewn into the dresses. My mother had to take the dresses to another seamstress, who proceeded to fix the dresses.

Basically they were horrible to work with and demonstrated very poor customer service. Their work was shoddy at best. The owner accepted no responsibility and offered no other arrangement or alternative.
