Esther, where do I even begin? It seems so long ago that we met in Pasadena. You were the 3rd wedding planner we met during our trip home and by then Brian was convinced we didn't need one/couldn't afford one. Our drive home after we met you was so funny - Brian was so quiet and conflicted! He said we need to find a way to hire Esther because you had a way to make us feel so at ease! We went home and did some budget-planning and decided to go with our hearts and hired Esther! And I'm so glad we did!!!

Anyhow - we planned our Pasadena, CA wedding from 2500+ miles away, and Esther was so gracious, responsive and flexible with her schedule. I only had limited amount of vacation days (saving them for the honeymoon & wedding itself) to fly to California and Esther was able to work with my schedule. At one point she even came out a week after giving birth for our florist mock-up appointment. Eeek!!! Esther kept my budget in mind when selecting the rest of our vendors and never pushed any ideas to me. She took my crazy carnival theme, sketched out some designs, ran with them and responded to my hundreds of emails patiently. Esther became like a big sister to me and it was an awesome experience planning our wedding together with her.

We had a lot of DIY items and Esther brought 4 assistants to help on the day of. They helped set up balloon dart station, popcorn station, ring toss, and so many other DIY arts & crafts! I really have no idea how the MBS staff managed to put everything together so quickly and so beautifully on the day-of. I just remember walking into the reception room after our ceremony and being in awe of how my vision came together :) Thanks, Esther.

In the end, being a critical person/super perfectionist myself I really have to say that everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding and I can't thank Esther and her staff more. I do remember one glitch where our DJ forgot to bring a projector that my sister needed for her MOH speech, and Esther took care of it right away :) At that point I wasn't even stressed or anything. I knew that it would be taken care of.

Our friends and family still compliment us on our wedding and how beautiful everything was. I honestly was surprised at how relaxed I was on the day of the wedding :) Hiring Esther & MBS was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process!

Being one of the first to get married amongst my group of close friends, I knew I needed a wedding planner to begin with since none of us knew what the heck we were supposed to do. I found My Bride Story through the wedding blog Style Me Pretty; Esther had a few weddings that were featured on SMP and I really liked her style and creativity and was happy to find out that she offered services near me (LA/OC). I met up with Esther in person for the initial consultation and immediately fell in love with her personality. She is the sweetest and most down to earth wedding planner ever! I had a totally different experience with my consultation with another wedding planner/company. I felt very comfortable letting Esther take charge of everything from the get-go since I knew she understood my style/inspiration. I had full faith that everything will turn out well in the hands of Esther.
Throughout the planning process, Esther was easy to get a hold of and always replied to my emails promptly (even if it’s late at night). She provided EXCELLENT vendor referrals. What I really liked about MBS is that Esther kept my budget in mind throughout the whole process. Esther really works hard to get everything you want but tries to keep your budget in check. She gave really good recommendations on ways to cut down the cost on certain things (she always helped with vendor negotiation so we didn’t go over our budget for that vendor; she even contacted multiple florists on my behalf to help me find a florist that was able to provide everything I wanted but within my budget).
Everyone says the month before the wedding is the most stressful time but everything was so well-planned and organized that I actually didn’t have much left to do during my last month. And on the actual wedding day, my husband and I (as well as the whole bridal party) were all stress-free, and we were able to really enjoy ourselves and celebrate without having to worry about anything. Esther and her team went above and beyond coordinating the day and everything ran smoothly. I’ve never seen my husband smile so much & so big, and even he was surprised at how beautiful everything turned out. Everything exceeded my expectations and I almost cried when Esther showed me the ballroom/reception area right before the ceremony (it was everything I ever dreamt of but a thousand times better!). Everyone had a great time at the wedding and commented on how beautiful the wedding was. I highly recommend Esther and her team without reservation if you’re looking for a wedding planner!

Initially, I thought hiring a wedding coordinator/wedding planner was a waste of money, and that anyone could do the job. But I was totally wrong!! The day of the wedding ran so smoothly and most importantly, I was completely stress-free. Christine and her posse did an amazing job organizing, communicating, and making sure everything went perfectly, which it absolutely did. Everyone said that it was the most perfect wedding they had ever been to!! I cannot say enough about Christine’s day-of execution, not to mention all the month-of planning that she helped with. Christine took charge and contacted all of my vendors to make sure all of their insurance documents were in and all contracts were signed, worked out a day-of schedule and coordinated with all of my vendors to make sure everything was set up and delivered on time and to perfection. I would have gone insane without her......she was a God-send. Seriously....my wedding turned out to be even better than I could have ever imagined...

I just got married in June. Esther at MBS helped me design and plan my wedding. Esther and her team were amazing! I was nervous at first to hand over everything to a wedding planner, but Esther proved time and time that she’s got everything under control. Esther is always professional, organized, responsive, friendly and most importantly, trustworthy.

Esther’s ideas, insight and experience are invaluable in the crazy world of wedding planning. There are so many decisions to be made and a ton of options to choose from. It’s easy to get overwhelmed. It was nice to have a seasoned planner/designer on my team to help me navigate through the sea of decisions.

Both me and my now husband didn’t worry about a thing the day of the wedding because we knew Esther had a handle on everything. The day was perfect, at least from our perspective. All of our guests still rave about what a wonderful time they had at our wedding.

The hubs and I wanted to keep our wedding simple, heartfelt, and meaningful. We didn't want to do things just because it's always done at weddings and we tried to stay true to ourselves as possible.

Christine of MBS was THE key reason why our vision for our wedding was executed so amazingly. She listens, is patient, and was truly excited for our ideas.

Hiring Christine proved to be an investment in the day itself - it allowed us to enjoy the moment while she would let us know what was coming up on the schedule of events, or if something needed to be switched around. This is SO IMPORTANT, future brides! You don't want to be running around on your wedding day wondering if your cake has arrived on site or if guests are feeling lost as to what's going on at the reception.

Our wedding was a little different in that we had a buffet lunch reception for family, friends, and church community with open seating. We then hosted an evening party for the young folks at an art gallery in Downtown LA with awesome DJ's and an open bar. It was a way for us to mix a traditional celebration with a modern one. I was a nervous about this format since I've never been to a wedding where this was done, but Christine just got it right when we shared our ideas with her. If you're trying something new/untraditional, I would recommend going with MBS who will embrace your ideas, give you critical feedback and help you work out all those logistical kinks.

Final note is that the hubs and I are both Korean American. Having a wedding coordinator who speaks Korean was a godsend in communicating with the monolingual guests at our wedding. My parents loved Christine because she was respectful of the Korean customs that make social gatherings work.

Christine was more than what we could ask for in a day-of coordinator! She helped us along the way and was always responsive, helpful and flexible. My husband is a wedding photographer (www.harrisonlongphotography.com) and has worked with a lot of coordinators and he agreed that MBS was one of the easiest to work with. He knew we chose right.

We designed the wedding and all of the decor on our own, but just needed someone to execute our detailed vision on the day. And MBS did it! She helped us with a timeline and tips for planning as were getting ready. She was always realistic and supportive of my crazy DIY ideas! She is really warm and encouraging and made me really excited for the big day. At one point we had surprises for our guests and she was the only one I could tell without ruining the surprise and she said "that's what I'm here for!" And she really was there for us.

On the day of the wedding, she was graceful and checked in with us on a periodic basis without overburdening us. She only asked us for things when she knew it would be important to us, otherwise she carried out our directions, schedule and plan as we discussed. This helped me and my husband truly enjoy our day. She was very attentive to us and always let us know when things were running behind to see if we wanted to skip anything or move things around. I didn't realize that this is what I needed in a planner until the wedding day was over. I realized how important it is that they be able to figure things out on their own and have good judgement calls on when to ask you questions.

Most importantly, the top layer of my wedding cake fell off in transport and Christine and her crew helped save our cake! She set it up with some flowers from our florist and no one even knew anything happened to it.

Christine and the staff she brought for that day were always professional and were practically invisible to all of our guests. That's how I know that they were really doing their jobs. Everything went so well that no one even knew how all of our details and events happened in such an organized way.

At first, I was frustrated and didn't understand why venues nowadays require professional coordinator.
Bottom line, YOU DO NEED ONE, and you MUST hire My Bride Story. I am very, very, very detail-oriented, and the biggest worry bug. Well, Sally and Esther endured my email invasions until late into the nights, until the night before the wedding, when I was still changing things around.
The wedding surpassed my expectation BY FAR, and I know this would have been impossible without My Bride Story team. I'm getting goosebumps as I say this. You need a coordinator who is young, energetic who shares the same vibe as you, INTELLIGENT, someone who is passionate about what they do. MBS team is flawless, impeccable, heaven-sent.
